Well not all subwoofers use that. The RSW if I am correct doesn't.

Technicly they can sell anythign they want for anything they want, as Sony is a hype brand for uneducated consumers. Look at BO$E. They sell products far out of the price range. A system that should be competing with my friends $200 RCA system goes for nearly $2000. A pair of Bose Tri-Port headphones, which are actually quite plesant feeling, sell for $150, but get bested by my Sennheiser HD-497s at less than half the price. Pretty much all I'm trying to say is that companies that are hyped can sell any product they want, reguardless of performance, for any price, and the average consumer will think it is good.

You can download Foobar. It has allot of upmixing dsp effects, along with resampler, convolver, advanced limiter, and on and on. Kind of a steeper learning curve though... http://foobar2000.com/foobar2000_0.8.1_special.exe -
Can I add a sub to the 4.1s?

Well you must have a f***ed up set because the sound is supposed to be canceled to the speakers when a plug is inserted into the headphone jack. -

http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=47922&sessionID={867AE9A9-7384-4B3B-BAB4-CF82CD632020} Just add a stereo splitter to the rear out on the sound card and hook the sub and the rear cable for the PMs to it. Follow the diagram after that. -
Sparks is definately not good, as you may have shorted your amp now. The control pod gets its power from the din cable.

Look in the help desk. -
Well you do know that these are just MM subs and they do have their limits. Depending on how low you are you may actually be botteming out your subs.
-
I wonder what the Krell MR would do against that 19K sub... They are both really wicked subs and would prbably give somebody a bowel movent from the vibration if they got too close...
-
Also how could there not be enough power. In a truck the speakers are probably pretty close to listening position, therefore they can crank 110dB from where you are at. I would like to see a $1000 car system that can do the same, at <1% THD on the sats and <3% THD on the sub.

Sadly in a real test, such as a referance room, the 4.1 sub would give that 10' generic sub a thrashing.
-
Well you must have a box of corn flakes covering your speakers. Vinyl is not gonna cause a rattle. If it would cause a rattle Klipsch wouldn't have put it on the speakers would they.
-
The reason for the 75 watt handling is that Klipsch speakers have a higher sensitivity. (Louder per watt) Bookshelf speakers aren't made to hit low. Who cares about about what covers it. Magnets will be fine. The BO$E Accostimass or whatever weighs more than a ProMedia 5.1 sub, but get absolutely frickin' owned by the ProMedia sub. (Which is a work of art for its price.) Weight don't really matter that much.

why are the surrounds so much louder than the fronts?
hooting_monkey replied to emmpeethree's topic in Personal Music Systems
You sure you just don't have the front and rear cables switched on accident? -
Dead 4.1 and Poor Customer Service
hooting_monkey replied to hannan36's topic in Personal Music Systems
There is a good reason for them not fixing the refurbs. You see, if Klipsch fixed everything, despite being out of warrenty, for free, they would got bankrupt. You also knowingly bought the refurbs that only had a 90 day warrenty. Like anything electronic, the amp can die. You have only yourself to blame. -
Hey thats pretty nifty. Did you get a contractor to do that or is it all do-ti-yourself? BTW: You gonna use bookself speakers for the mains? Them holes would be kinda small for towers. It would been neat if you took that closet type thing you have in one of your pics and had 2 smaller, shallow ones, but closer to the tv. With it angled slightly in like you have the closet you could easily hide RF-7s in them.

Ok, for WinDVD all you need to do is goto http://keygen.us and search the program. Then download the keygenorator and run the program you just downloaded. Enter the key that it generated into the registration menu. This should work on the version you have.

Anybody check out the new Godsmack album, "Other Side"?

As far as ripping my sub apart, "What Klipsch won't know, won't hurt them." OPPS, Klipsch forums.

They should really finish off the inside of the box. It looks bad and probably doesn't help air flow in there.

1st Dibs.

I was being slightly sarcastic. Maddox is a commical person though, and is very good at pointing out the obvious reasons we do things, even though they aren't obvious to us. Dawn of the Dead is exactly how he puts it, plotless and stupid. You just have to look for the underlying meanings of his reveiws.
