  1. Yup m00n !! i remember when i was 4 years old as well . Go back to your bay city rollers and leave the music to the men . You could hardly hear metal on those RF-7's anyway . What did you HT guys do before there was HT ? bet you rocked to AM radio in your old dodge . Did i leave anything out ? Relax rick !! lol I'm just kidding everyones entitled to there opinion.
  2. I use to enjoy a good cat , but now i find their hardly a meal !!!
  3. Count me in as well . There is a canadian band called " Wide mouth mason " that adopted the same mentality as metallica , they gave the finger to the record industry and did things their way. These guys are a great example to up and coming bands , they record in back ally and basement studio's yet rock the roof off any live venue . One of the few bands i can honestly say sound better live then on a recording. METALLICA is in a place that few bands will ever thread.
  4. Well if you would have gotten in and out of BRE-X at the right time you'd be a multi-millionare. I on the other hand put in $5000.00 and jumped out at $18000.00 if i would have held out till near the end i would have had a " GOD DAM SH!TLOAD OF CASH " !!!!!!!!!!
  5. If you could have anything ?? Imagine those guy's that belong to the " candle " and " radio shack " forums , they likly say the same thing about us klipsch owners. I could just hear it now , they must be saying stuff like " man i can't believe those dudes spend $1500.00 usd on used klipschorns when you can by used candle or radio shack speakers at just about any garage sale for less then $10.00 . Those guys must think were nuts here in klipsch land . Moral of the story comes down to mentality , theres no need to pick apart someone elses rig just because it doesnt bare the PWK logo . There are more than 150 rigs linked to that page, don't for one second fool yourself into believing that none of them sound any good in the " SPECIFIC " room their in . I really fail to see the reasoning behind some of the forum members here , why do you guys always harp at the first sight of someone spending more money on a tube amp then a POS old scott is worth or if someone mentions a speaker array that cost more then the klipschorn then " the person must be a fool to purchase that crap " . I'd like to take some of you ( with your blinders on ) and hook you up with my team of horses , because you mentality is about the same. Personally i love going to the gala events and product releases to drewl over the new and exciting equipment releases , most is out of my reach but i don't justify a non purchase by dumping on the product quality. If it's all that bad then why are the companies still in business. Klipsch is my " CHOICE " but i still love the sound of some other products too.
  6. Hmmmmmmmmmm !!!!!!!! No one going to jump in with a ceiling fan comment this time ?? Where's ARTTO ?? and the rest of the linch mob. Is'nt it in good old klipsch tradition to send him the yellow button or belittle his comments till he's to embarrased to respond or are we selective of who we dump on around here . The klipschorn is not the be all to end all of speakers for " EVERY TYPE " of person or listening pleasure , but i would have posted those comments on a different BB instead of insighting another flame war in this forum. Anyone who's been " LURKING " should have known better unless that was there intent from the start .

No doubt price wise there a good deal just to rich for " ME " . I'll bet they look nice late at night with the tube glow refecting off the gold plating .
  8. Nice looking pair of special edition quad II on E-bay $3560.00 is just a bit to rich for me but very nice amps anyhow.
  9. Now , Now !! You must learn to play nice with the other kids in the playground .
  10. I use that spray cleaner you get for cleaning sunglasses plus the soft cloth that comes with it. I burn a lot of cd's and if you have a few fingerprints they will more then likly show you an error message and kick out the cd ( if it's a cd-r then it's screwed ) I've had this happen 5 or 6 times before i got wise enough to make sure the source cd was spotless before burning. All kids cd's are burn'ed with the original put up for safe keeping , when they loose destroy or scratch to death there copy then i burn another.
  11. I clean most of my lp's by hand but this toy looks kinda neat. Any of you guys ever try one of these automated devises ?
  12. http://www.tricell-ent.com/BDR.htm These are what i use , they work fine for " me " . Thats all i'm going to say on the topic. Component " placement " is the largest factor in deteriming the need for isolation. Just because one person has no need for isolation does not mean another does not. I use a mission isoplat under my DVD player due to it's proxcimity to my RT side k-horn. Without the isoplat the DVD player will skip as volume increases. So you isolate the component or you move it , end of story .
  13. Sorry for the late arrival guys . Been doing the spring cleaning gig for the past week or so . Hope this does'nt belong to anyone here . Would not want to get into a wife or girlfriend rant if you get my drift.
  14. Now on E-bay we have some nice Forte for sale . I must say , they sure are a nice " pair " .
  15. might sound good on k-horns , never heard one though.
  16. " HEY " How about `` M.A.S.H `` !!!!!!!

Plus if you get sick of listening to your tunes in a traffic jam your double odd buck can help move traffic .

Russ : one of our forum members thats bugged out of here has run stacks of levinson as well as some real over the top classe audio stuff . Dale Walker , now runs a RB-1090 he's posted several threads on this amp but got sick of battling the tube heads in 2 channel. He's the one that would know , considering he has k-horns with tubes and k-horns with the RB-1090. Maybe someday he'll find his way back here. ---------------- Go to the search engine and type in " mount king " . This should bring you to a old thread from dale ( 2002 ) with pictures of the most nasty looking stack of SS gear and " KILLER " looking pair of k-horns i've ever laid eyes on. Keep in mine when looking at the picture that this is strickly a HT setup.
  19. Stick the butt end of a hammer into the hole on the front of the speaker and hit it as hard as you can with another hammer Then replace the tweeter with a JBL 2404h and talk to john warren or q-man about a new cross over. If you have your heart set on keeping the old tweeter then gently twisting it from side to side while holding onto the magnet should break it loose. I had the same problem getting mine out , till i figured out they just needed a bit of muscle to break them loose.
  20. Using caps is a way of shouting . Thats what pisses people off , they think your trying to drill your point at them .
  21. I've got a friend with a pair of ev-1's ( speakerlab k-horn clones , there all the same ) Brand new klipsch k-33's in the bottom but i'm not sure how the HF is loaded. I know he's got them for sale and asking around $900.00 . The HF can be "made" to house just about any horn and tweeter . I've heard these " kits " sound good and bad , depending on who built them..
