  1. Received mine today, came through just fine. Thanks again Duder.
  2. You need to spend a little time playing with it to see it's capabilities.
  3. They do look to be in nice shape, IMHO for 1600, a darn fine deal...
  4. You use it to add any media that you have in your collection. Enter an artist in the search field, and it will display all kinds of info for them, including albums. Select the album release that you have (there are many), and then you will see a button that says something like Add to my Collection. It is then stored for you, where you can access it via the web. I use it at home, then on my phone when I'm out to check my collection and avoid duplicates. Very handy.
  5. Use them all the time. Check sellers ratings and numbers of ratings. Great place to store a collection database.
  6. Well, I really don't want to hear a pair of Chorus speakers. I am not into long waits and may want to buy the speaker in the next couple of days, lol. Well Derrick, you have a standing invitation to come to my place. And no, you may not have them.
  7. Thank you Chad, really appreciate that.
  8. I was wondering the same thing....certainly comes at a very premium price....
  9. To me, this implies that not only did I post the room of chimps (which I did), but that I also emailed Chad's boss (WHICH I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT). I expect and hope that Chad will clarify this And by the way, I find it interesting that the room of chimps apparently, now, insulted you, when you in fact replied immediately afterwards with quite a humorous comment? The posting of the chimps was meant completely to lighten the mood, and was met that way for many, but I guess not for all.... Here's something else Chad that I'm sure you might find interesting and could possibly "clarify" our "relationship"....I have been in IT for 40 years, I have been in software testing and QA for almost that long, and currently manage the software quality assurance practice for one of the largest health insurers in the world. Developers and testers have now, and always will have, a somewhat adversarial and contentious relationship. It's a natural. I understand that. If I didn't, I wouldn't be in this field. Plus, we use lots of chimps. They are great testers, except when they spill their beer and we have to constantly replace their keyboards.....
  10. After not having very high expectations, I am loving this show. Great blend of humor, schtick, and storyline. Gotta wonder what's going on with the female attorney, "girlfriend"? Not sure about that yet...Definitely getting better.
  11. True, but if I'm not mistaken, yours had aftermarket "surgery"......
  12. and you shoulda seen her sister!! sorry.....
  13. Can you at least give us something in the same ballpark? perfect
  14. I can only think of one line from "Pulp Fiction"....but can't share it here.....it's pretty damn funny though.
  15. Dude, if I had your GW, I'd be there every day!!
  16. I agree, also from personal experience. There are a couple of little tricks to learn about it, but overall I've had very good success with it.

  18. it's an inappropriate outburst on my part. people get wound up about the weirdest most mundane things here and it frustrates me. apologies for any offense (once you figure it out). I have never, ever had an inappropriate outburst, nor gotten wound up on a mundane issue, nor become frustrated on this forum. I have no idea what you're talking about FFS.
  19. Maybe Chad should also include an acronym list....you lost me at "FFS"....
  20. You can take care of records by always keeping them in their sleeves - with a good carbonfiber brush , that is enough - congratulations on the VPI Scout with an Ortofon 2m Black cartridge but as a newbie - you are asking for trouble with TT's - my advice is -keep the VPI as a great looking TT - BUT buy a USED Technics newer sl 1200 series with a set of precalibrated cartridges and have fun - these require no setup , a child could use these with no trouble - plus they deliver excellent sound - all these very expensive TT'S are very complex - I have several TT's and when I really just want to listen to vinyl , my Technics are my saviors - no wonder they sold millions and millions - OK, I don't get this, and disagree with some. So, you are saying to keep the VPI to look at? For real? And get a child's play (your term) Technics to actually use? What a waste. Spend thousands on a TT and cartridge to let it sit and play second fiddle. Wow, talk about disposable income.....You can't take care of vinyl simply by keeping them in their sleeves with a carbon fiber brush. Big mistake. Washing, drying, new sleeves work semi-wonders....One thing I do agree with is that some of the vintage Technics machines are pretty sweet (at their price point). I just got a completely restored SL-1400 MK2, with an Ortofon Blue, Emotiva Phono Preamp (on Lemonstring's recommendation) and I love it.
