  1. My block wall is 8" thick and the SEAT of the unit is at the threaded end inside the house. Meaning, there is an approximate 8" rod from the handle all the way through the copper tube to the seat on the far side. Additionally, (maybe I'm just anal?) I have some ball valves on each line inside the house, about 12" above the spot where they break through the wall. What I usually try to remember to do is shut the ball valve, then drain the line, then close the line. That gives me an empty faucet down to the seat and an air gap between the seat and my ball valve. Water on the other side of my ball valve is clearly inside the house and inside the heated garage. I saw the Moen as pictured. As much as I like it, my next comment is going to get me into trouble. My wife likes to play dumb to things like this and is always saying how complicated I'm making things (honey... first you turn the preamp on, then active crossover, then the power amps... kinda thing) Thought it might sound silly... the 2 reasons I got the 2 handle is for simplicity and when I bought it, I had no idea a single handle was available [] Another comment about it freezing, interestingly enough it burst both pipes on the faucet between the seat and the outlet. Meaning, the only time it leaked is when I was using the faucet. With the faucet in the off position (and my interior ball valves open) it still didn't leak. to repeat my mistake, I had left not only the hose connected but had also left my nozzel on the hose which kept the hose full of water.
  2. Well heck... a little chainsaw action and some accoustic cloth to cover the front... they could slap a Jubilee in there
  3. I never heard of Arrowhead...then again... I only 'heard' about what my supply house had I'm sure! Woodford also makes a traditional left/right. http://www.woodfordmfg.com/Woodford/Downloads/Catalog.pdf Page 11 shows both models. I don't recall why I made the choice to go vertical, other than perhaps looks... no real reason for me to be specific to either on. I will say however, now that I have the vertical... on the inside when I brought my water pipes down, the vertical orientation DID cause me about 5 cents worth of "drats" since I had to supply pipes dropping from the ceiling and competing for the same space. I finally brought the pipes down with a couple inches left/right between them and then mounted them from the side into the faucet, rather than keeping them in a striaght line. That is about the only reason why I wish in hindsight that I'd gone with the left/right setup. Been easier to bring my lines down and slap a 90 degree street elbow into them.
  4. Note at the floor how they (in a minor sense) boxed the speaker in with the molding. I wonder if the molding slips around the sides or if it is in fact nailed down. Another question I've got is...once they get rid of the Khorns, exactly what are they going to do with the monster sized HOLES in the cabinet on each side? Be a great place for the kids to play hide/seek.
  5. I'd be happy to check them out. One caveot though... I've sent the seller TWO ebay emails. one telling him that I was going to make this offer to hold them on this forum, in case someone wanted them but had an issue with timing. I then sent him a SECOND email inviting him over to hear the Jubilees since he's evidently a Klipsch fan. I've not heard a WORD back from him. Nothing, nada, squat. So, I'll although I'll be more than happy to go check them out, I'll leave it up to someone else to contact him and set it up, fair enough? Once you make that contact, you can give me his number, you can give HIM, my number (865-531-5888 for work) or find some other way to get us connected.
  6. Presuming you refer to the Belles, I've got no idea of any market values. I suppose that's between you the seller and others on ebay?
  7. We had a couple days/nights of actual cold (as in nasty). I have 3 outdoor faucets, 4 if you consider this one has hot AND cold. This is the only one that burst and yes... some dufas left the hose on. I had taken the hoses off the other faucets. Funny thing is, in hindsight I know exaclty when it happened. I had used the hose the day before. It wasn't so much the hose left on, but leaving the nozzle on the hose which kept all the water backed up. Had I just undone the hose (too lazy cause it was too cold to go back out [:$]) or perhaps taken the nozzel off...I might have been spared the indignity. Notice what I said though...not only do the dogs get HOT water outside... they will ultimately get softened water! Gots to keep my Chloe, Otis, Hattie, Tubby and sister in laws dog Fanny, all fluffy !! [&] You know... kinda like what happens when you use Prell? []
  8. For the pic, I just shoved it through the wall. as a second comment, since I was replumbing a lot of stuff, I decided I MIGHT put in a water softener. If I do that, I want THIS faucet "softened" and I don't care about the other two outdoor faucets I have. Took some thinking & reconfigurating ([:^)]) to get it all laid out but that's how it is now. Once (if) I put a softener in the system, this will get softened water and my others (including my sprinkler system) will NOT be, so I won't waste softened water on the grass, but CAN use it to wash the car or make my dogs all fluffy.
  9. Need not only two holes through the wall but you also need hot water plumbed in on the other side (did that last summer)
  10. First pic was of the box so anyone would have the model number HOWEVER be "forewarned" that I bought the 8" version and you can get it in various lengths. I needed 8" to go through my block wall. Here it is out of the box
  11. I bought this last summer and thought it was cool as beans. We're on a well so our water is cold. We wash our dogs outside and I really wanted some way to get them warm water instead of only cold. Put this in last summer, forgot about it this winter and left the hose attached (big no-no). one of the pipes burst so I bought a replacement and that's what this is. I'll probably install it this weekend if I can 1. Stay off the forum long enough... 2. Stay away from my Klipsch long enough!!
  12. If they weren't just so damn plug ugly... I could possibly be talked into a pair...
  13. Robinette is a good guy. He's full of wisdom...then again, since he was a pall bearer for Methuselah, he SHOULD be full of wisdom by now... (if not something else?) []
  14. To tell you the truth...I already have. She was (is) a bit incredulous about that idea. I did however, tell her it wasn't going to happen in this house as it's simply not designed right. Just today she made a comment about something decorative and I said "in the NEW house" ( she wants to add on to existing, and therein is our battle) If you want to see a very priceless rolling of the eyes... just talk to my wife about anything to do with "plug ugly passe' big box speakers"
  15. If this observation is worth a plug nickel... My wife has now started to notice that "such & such" doesn't sound as nice as it does at home. She IS beginning to realize that we've got a pretty sweet sounding setup at the house, but that still doesn't diminsh her "they are plug ugly speakers" stance.
  16. Sound of those OTL's verses cash in bank... Sound of those OTL's verses cash in bank... Sound of those OTL's verses cash in bank... Tough call...
  17. hmmm... seems so simple to me? Couple thoughts: 1. Mr. Roy had a pair of Jubilees shipped to England so surely he can have a pair of Jubilees shipped to you? [] 2. Evidently it's not in the Klipsch business model to ship things like that so what's to keep a forum member from picking them up and shipping them? For example, I'll pick on Buckette...(Robbie, you won't mind that will you? [6]) The ole Buckster could pick them up (previously paid for), cart them to (??) post office, UPS?? (who ever ships to APO places) and they're off. Only thing is, the shipping would have to be pre-paid to as it wouldn't be nice to place the Robster in a situation where he pays out of pocket in an effort to help out a forum member. See how nice I"m being to you Robbinette? I'm being 100% sure that you suffer no indignities by my volunteering you for this endeavour. []
  18. Well if ya do the 510 you really SHOULD also do the 402 as some have suggested. There might be those that upon hearing the difference, might prefer one over the other? You could do a swap mid day (mornings 510 and afternoon 402 then reverse it next day?) When you're done... since you can't sell them as "NEW", I think I'll be the first to offer to take them off your hands.
  19. Oh, great...NOWWWWWWWWWWw you tell me... (we spent most of the day last Friday in Savannah) Went to that restauraunt "a lady & her 2 boys" (or what ever its called...) guess who got volunteered to stand in line for a couple hours to simply put our name on the list so we could LATER return & eat? []
  20. Note my comments here in case it helps http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/thread/885223.aspx
  21. Ok Dude... first, there are some Belles on ebay right NOW that are very near me. You can stash them at my place until you can come pick them up and by happenstance, give the Jubilees a listen. Bad thing about that is when I hit the a/b switch and kick the Jubilees in... well...let's not go there, I hate seeing a grown man cry. So, with that said, before you spend any change on any the above, you really should give them a listen and then you will realize why they will be the last pair of speakers for 2-way that you ever consider again. Would this face (insert image of myself) lie to you? Bring your soon to be bride... stay overnight in my Newlywed Suite, overlooking the waterfall that is gently babbling like a brook on the back patio of the rock adorned pond, being gently awoken by the croak of (no, not Fini) but of little frogs... You can come, visit, listen and then fight with your new bride on do you keep them or keep her!! [A]
