  1. Bluebery arrived as promised! I got the Blueberry from Mark right on time as promised. I posted lots of photos when I first got the Blueberry last fall and at that time our cat, Jack, was absolutely fascinated with the preamp. He would not leave its side. I was never a cat person, never owned one before and never really cared for them, but I lost a bet with my wife and poof, we got a little baby kitten about 10 months ago. Cats sure are intuitive, at least this one is. He figured out I would warm up to him if he curled up in my lap every evening. He sucks up to my wife by sleeping by her feet every night and keeping them nice and warm. Well tonight I started to take the Blueberry out of the box and he came running and it was like he had his old best friend back again. I thought it might just be a fascination with boxes, wrapping material, etc. but I have opened lots of other boxes and he might give a look, or attack the bubble wrap for a minute but then he is off just as quick as he came. Not with the Blueberry, he curls up with it, and he is just enamored with it. So, needless to say, my opinion of Jack has risen immeasurably, after all, a cat that is into a preamp more then I am cant be too bad. I think I can officially say that the Blueberry has once again passed inspection by Jack and he has given it his Official Seal of Approval. Either that or he is getting high off the tung oil.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Here is a couple of photos of the BBX, and then a couple of the turntable. The Basis Vector tonearm at the back of the unit, and that is the one we are working on finding a good cartridge to match with it over the next few days. Travis
  2. That sounds like a good deal for both of us Travis. When are you coming up here? Not till June or July I'm afraid. I wish I could get up there sooner. I have a client with some land in Kennebunkport (Sp?) he wants me to take as part of a fee on a case. Are you close to there at all? Travis
  3. What I meant was that you are in the center of a hugh concentration of people, which Del. and NH would fit into. The mileage from NYC to NH would not even get me out of Texas. Now Ohio and Fla. kind of threw me. I would think they could get higher prices there. You must really hunt em down. Travis
  4. You are welcome to come by any time to listen to my Khorns (while I still have them) with tube amps (VRD's from Craig at NosValves). I live by Westlake H.S. and we will be around all this weekend, out of town the following weekend, and then back for awhile after that. Send me an email and we can set it up. Travis
  5. Cornwalls or Belles, I am not 100% certain yet. You can sort of tell from the photos that the Khorns are set up for two channel on the long wall. I have KSP-400's for home theater on the short wall. I just got tired have having to rearrange furniture, speakers to go from home theater listening to 2 channel. The K horns will not fit on short wall, missing a corner and not enought room to do false corner, so K horns are going, KSP's are going, and Cornwalls or Belles will serve as fronts for 2 channel and home theater. If I like what I hear, I will get rid of the KSP rears and buy two more Cornwalls or Belles as the case may be. I had LS's before, and assume that Belles are going to be very similar. I ran them without a sub, I have a sub now. It is going to be very difficult going back, heard so much about Cornwall sound I think that is really the most interesting to me. I have a pair coming over this weekend to try out. Travis
  6. It was a little funny.[] I have heard the term piano finish before but I am not really sure what that is. Did they say what was involved in doing a piano finish? Must be very specialized of they sent it out to have it done. Travis
  7. Congratulations!!! Good for you. I cannot wait to see photos, if possible. Travis
  8. You should have a bunch of photos, in about 4 or 5 emails, let me know if you did not receive them. Travis Nothing so far email address is iain42 @ gmail.com no spaces of course. Thanks! Seti Oppps, Operator error, they should be there now. Travis
  9. Just in case you really are confused...those are 60th Anniversary K-horns....the piano finish is a real piano finish which was outsourced by Klipsch...the dead giveaway is that PWK logo in the middle on the bottom of each speaker, with the shiny little l/4 quarter carat genuine diamonds!!!! Unless my vision is so poor I am seeing things in the pics that aren't really there. Leave it to a woman to be able to pick out 1/4 diamonds from 20' away. Travis
  10. Now you are probably getting somewhere. I suspect that his Jubilee project has set everything back considerbly. Thanks for blowing it for the rest of us Dean.[]

  12. Back at ya, send me your email and phone number, I will send you some photos and give you a call. I also left you my phone numbers. Travis
  13. I would say the problem is your dealer, if they claim they were told 2 to 3 weeks they were probably not being straight with you. Did your dealer promise you that they would be done by a certain date? If they did then you need to find another dealer. Ask your dealer why, if Klipsch is so unreliable, do they continue to do business with them. The answer to that question will answer all of your other questions; that is where the heart of this matter "lies." I would be sincerely interested to hear their response. Travis
  14. Dean, You hit it. The dealer is just that, the dealer, not an employee, but someone who has reached an agreement with Klipsch to sell their speakers. Customer service is at the dealer level. Good customer service would be to say it "averages 6 to 8 weeks depending on the number of orders that are placed, but let me call them for you and see if I can get a more accurate estimate for you." You then repeat the information to the customer without any spin, which I believe you know from first hand experience is going to be something like "it typically takes 8 to 12 weeks but it depends on the number of orders we get, it can take longer in some cases." Good customer service would then to call Klipsch peridocally get updates from Klipsch and pass that information onto the customer. None of that is the fault of Klipsch. I just flat out do not believe that anyone at Klipsch told this "dealer" that it was going to be 3 weeks. It tells me the "lies" are coming from the dealer. What's the bottom line? Are we talking about an additional 4 week wait from what thermalup was originally told? Travis
