  1. Yep, Good stuff for sure....
  2. Thanks Tim, I remember that episode of the Flintstones shown in your avatar.
  3. Yeah, probably not going to too much effort. Thanks for the explanation, Dean ! WOW!, 401 posts.....I get a prize....Right? edited: Dean, I used the only box available and it took about 15' of bubble-wrap to fill up space....lol...use what you wish to send them back.
  4. "why dont you ask the real giants in the industry" I would rather ask someone here that has used one......then based on my first hand experience I could voice my opinion.
  5. Hey Fritz, Some time ago I had my 4.2's open and I covered the backside of the horn with damping material with lousy results. I was trying to tone down the tweeter and that was before the crossover mod, which worked quite well. Baxter, On the 7's I discovered today(with someones help)....to disconnect the wiring from the tweeter/horn just push down on the spring loaded release "thing" and the wire will slide right out.
  6. I was just about to start a thread concerning damping an RF7 horn, glad I found this. My crossovers are out for a bit of tweaking and now would be a good time to do so. I may at least try a little. I puttied the horn on my KG4.2's heavily and later removed it due to giving the speaker a just plain weird sound.
  7. Way to go Tiger...I've heard good things about them. I would guess cost has a lot to do with it, Griff.
  8. Hi S2, I went from a Sony 120.00 player to a Denon 2900 on a 27" Sony TV and the difference in picture quality is huge. I believe the replacement for the 2900 is the 3910.

    Animusic

Hey Skonopa, We have had our Animusic discs for a couple years, isnt it the coolest stuff. My favorite is the last song when it hits the lowest notes....Fascinating.
  10. Thanks! Last night there were as many gunshots as fireworks....
  11. Hi Dylani, We have a tapestry hanging on the wall right above the stereo and I needed something better than the 2' single string type supplied antenna that came with the receiver. I stripped about 3 inches of that antenna jacket and added another 20 feet of 18GA. wire I had laying around. Then anchored it to the painted wall "behind" the tapestry in a circular fashion. Channels are coming in much clearer now. I consider this one of my FREE upgrades....
  12. If you are breaking the grills .....YOU are careless.
  13. No, never heard them but what I read is promising. He said he could do a black faced one for me at an Xtra charge. If the face just screwed off without being connected to anything else I could make it black myself.
  14. For that budget and you don't mind used, Audiogon would be a good place to start. I have bought from them a couple times and am now saving pennies for the next amp upgrade.
  15. Oh Boy have I ever! CIAudio just released their 200 watt monoblocks for about $2200. What information I can find about them is very good.
  16. I played with one for an audition of some B&W 803d's and 500 watt McIntosh monoblocks, could also tell a difference with the tone controls switched out of the circuit. Not much help for you but it was a nice piece...
  17. Interesting, This is the first I've heard about the Flying Mole Digitals........Thanks
  18. Rumor has it they are coming out with an SUV similar to the Hummer, with a Klipsch sound system. Either that or they cut a deal with McDonald's and are coming out with a Klipschburger.
  19. Do not tell me anymore, PLEASE! I changed my mind, I like secrets....it is sort of like not knowing what you are going to get for your Birthday. If you knew ahead of time it would spoil the fun. Besides, my RF7's are about to get new crossover job and I still look forward to that. Mmmmmmm, I still have just under a year to trade up to whatever may be coming out.....if necessary.
  20. Lol.....Is anyone who attended the Pilgrimage going to purchase new Klipsch speakers before September?.......lol.
  21. Lol...lol, What.....nobody admits to using room #106?
  22. My 7's seemed to change sound within 3 hours of play. I would love to hear the 7's and the Krell integrated for fun to see if they would mate well together. I auditioned the paradigm studio 40's with a Denon receiver then a krell integrated and the difference was out of this world.
  23. Oompa Loompa's for sure! Nice pictures and it was a pleasant surprise to see the real people behind the nicknames. The wife and I really must make it to the Pilgrimage next year. Amy, I bet when your son turns 15 he will ask..... Mom, can you get me a discount on some Klipsch speakers?
  24. Tigerwood, Thank you for the offer! ......BUT, I am still in the thinking stage at the moment.
