  1. Futurama took time for me to appreciate. Seth MacFarlane (family guy and others) is kind of in charge right now but his humor hits you on the head with a cast iron skillet.
  2. You are a tough old bird..........What if somebody uses it all? The mind is a terrible thing to waste............EH !!!!!!............. Close OB. The mind is a terrible thing. That's closer.
  3. This post comes from reading only the initial post and no responses. First of all, as a degree holder in music, this is a load of crap. Second of all, well, so is most psychobabble. People who like musicals? That just means they don't know blank about music. (unless it's from those delightful people responsible for South Park). "One clear pattern" is really a pattern of the youth there in general. Oh gee, opera buffs don't take as many showers. Could it also be that they also don't get many dates? Only 8.5% of classical music lovers have PhDs? So 91.5% of PhDs do not like classical music. News flash! Music should be underrated in what it can tell us about societies and individuals. Music is intrinsic to everyone and all music shares common characteristics.
  4. There you go, I would have taken them off your hands if you were closer. Most of us want to pick up not ship for safety reasons.
  5. Just as I did not know that those were sold in the USA (veyrons).
  6. Get a flowmaster exhaust, forget about the sound system. Listen to the engine and the rest of the car while driving. Listen to music on Klipsch at home. (Drivers wanted/the ultimate driving machine/a day without an alfa whine is like a day without sunshine/reserved parking for cars without cup holders/have you redlined your car today?/RTTR/if i can't shift it, i will resist it/etc).
  7. OK FINE MIKE.......I'll remember this next time you carry on about something.........Oh by the way it's, oldbuckster.or OB.or Rob.... not Bucky....Gee, people here can dish it out but don't like to take it ..........Court Jester..........[:'(]...[:#]........IT"S OVER Dude! I mean OB or Rob, don't give away a peeve like that. It only begs people to pull your chain. I for one can take as well as dish as several on here know, I think most of us can. As for Jay, well he has learned a lesson, and he is at the appropriate age to learn. I always took his remarks in the past of "I quit the forum" as sort of a Cartmanesque "screw you guys, I'm going home" which is also appropo for his generation. He won't make this mistake again, and you helped a lot for that learning curve. Peace out.
  8. "I wish future-rama had stayed on tv : (" Futurama is on TV. It is on cartoon network's Adult Swim most every night. They are all re-runs of course. I agree that it is a shame more episodes were not made though. At least it did not suffer a slow painful death. There is a great new show on Adult swim called Metalocalypse, it is simply hilarious.
  9. The Rutles--lp This is the album by the Eric Idle creation The Rutles. Still the best rock parody/satire film ever made. Compleat songs by the Pre-fab Four, and the lp comes with a great booklet insert with interviews and lyrics.

    Rush

I agree with meagain. Rush is a band that was born to the "album rock" generation. Bands of this era put together lp's not as a collection of singles but as a work of art concept, meant to be enjoyed as an entity.
  11. Not too shabby looking the Riviera JB. Sort of looks like a poor man's Jaguar. On the topic, flowmaster is a good exhaust system, get used to the sound and worry about anything different when it needs replacing.
  12. Welcome! Here you find out more than you thought possible about Klipsch and audio in general.
  13. That's cool, torque rules! The euro sweetness has to do with their ability to lay every bit of hp on the road because of how the torque matches up. Not to mention the handling ability. Fort Worth is close enough to me, maybe someday I can not only hear his Klipsch but catch a ride in the Reatta.
  14. This will help keep it up top----Colter, have you made your Hammer of Thor discs yet?
  15. Poor Jay, as if college isn't demanding enough without a bunch of older farts begging for coed photos. On the other hand, it wasn't that demanding, what was your major again? Lol buckster, you'd be a doctor if you had patients!
  16. You would think with that much displacement HP would be higher....for example 1988 bmw 325i 2.5L has 167 hp, 1970 1.8L Alfa injected has 135 hp, 1991 3.0L Alfa V6 has 192 hp..........bullet proof is always nice though.
  17. I liked'em when I saw'em. Make sure if you are using a K&N filter that you clean and re-oil it correctly (just in case you don't already know about these).
  18. LOL, I don't think they would waste one or more for a crash test...you pays your money and you takes your chances mateys....arrrr.
  19. Here's an oldie with a hint to start. One word of this title is in the last title by Three Dog Night. All of the things that you used to do If they're done now, well they're done by you It seems a big failing in a man To take his girl for granted if he can This song is 40 years old....
  20. Ok, I'm back in with this one: Easy to be Hard by Three Dog Night! I'll back off the Zappa, I don't think anyone remembers the classical sheet music. I could funk'em, but I'll lay off the P-Funk for now too.
  21. Well I am guilty of mowing the yard and sometimes watch Star Trek...... I stumbled on this among other things, now it sticks in my head!
  22. OK, I give up. Mine was "Crawling back to You"---Tom Petty/Wildflowers.
