  1. Lots of tires are noisy. We had Dunlop spA2's and they were great until after 12,000 miles or so and then road noise was a major factor. Just put on some yokohama avid h4s, we'll see after a while.
  2. Hey Oldb, don't get me wrong either, I appreciate their place in history and all that. But the question of the thread was if you just LOVE the Beach Boys and well, I still agree with you, the answer is no. I enjoy surf music, like Dick Dale much more, and still cringe when the Beach Boys mispronounce such famous surf spots like Waimea Bay. It kind of takes away their credibility for me.
  3. The tune thread is way past this so here's a hint: The song is People Like Us. (People like us, grow as big as a house......).
  4. In the Court of the crimson King---King Crimson Another great album art piece. Now this: I'll tell you 'bout the hopeless night Wandering the Western dream Tell you 'bout the maiden with wrought iron soul.
  5. Allright, Amy left this thread and the tune thread hanging so I am going for continuation. The clue is the same for both threads. It is a quote from a song sung in a movie: We don't want freedom. We don't want justice. We just want.......someone to love. Name that movie!
  6. By now according to the rules of Matthews, someone needs to post a challenge. I submit this: We don't want freedom. We don't want justice. We just want..........someone to love. Name that tune!
  7. I love my Forte II's so much (bought new in 1989) that I have now bought another pair. Except for the most serious HT applications, they will put off any desire for a sub-woofer indefinitely. Mine are even un-modded, one of these days when i put in popbumper's crossovers I can be amazed all over again at a new level.
  8. Ditto the buckster for the most part. I still maintain their Christmas Album is the worst ever of its kind (Kenny G's is a close second).
  9. He probably thinks its cool, and in his better days would have smoked everyone with today's technology. (Kind of like he did with the technology of his time).
  10. You were right Therugobuddy, prettiest girl on the planet is gaining!
  11. To paraphrase Mel Gibson in The Patriot: A deer makes a fine meal.
  12. Big departure for me, I will recommend Melissa Etheridge--Yes I Am, on cd. She really rocks on this one.
  13. You may never get back home after a taste of southern living Colter! Remember the line in the Doors "Texas Radio and the Big Beat?" Soft drivin', slow and mad, like some new language.
  14. Well, maybe he knows something we don't. After all, Fiat owns Ferrari iirc.
  15. Lol gilbert. Yes let the puppies free, and let freedom ring!
  16. It is the general consensus that Magnepans don't have the bass we all love. They also take a lot of power to drive correctly, so you need more than just the 10 grand for speakers, you also need several more for the power required.
  17. Picky, I think you are being way too hard on crack! Drugs don't hire Hasek, people do.... It seems more to me that he has some kind of machine hooked up to his brain, it records his dreams, and then the organization acts on them. Hasek won a cup with one of the most dominating teams in front of him in hockey history, especially the defense. Without that again, well...you know the rest.
  18. I Can't Quit Her, by B,S, & T. This one describes (sort of) all of us here in the drought zone right now: Lost in a Roman...wilderness of pain And all the children are insane All the children are insane Waiting for the summer rain, yeah
  19. Try this one: "I was stoned. It seemed like a fun thing to do at the time."
