  1. gotta be Fargo. from the same folks "Well I ain't no marriage counselor." Plus: "He was alive when I buried him."
  2. I agree with Bob it could be the coil. However the old ballast resistors are long gone as far as I know. Good luck!
  3. Maybe I will hunt you down like the dog you know you are Thebes (see last weeks MWMR's thread). BTW Meagain, I would have also chosen the button, good work! ______________________________________________________ See Thebes avatar quaking with fear? That's how he will look when I unleash my attack bunny against him(see my avatar).
  4. Front wheel drive, which is sort of going back for me, lately I have been driving rear wheel drivers. I test drove the 88 spider (when new) and agree with you. Been working on a real antique, a 71 spider off and on as my garage queen. The 71 to 74 GTV's are a real joy to drive, and getting noticed again (prices going up). Glad you like the 928, I remember when they came out, and of course when the one in risky business goes into the lake......I've always had a mid 70's 911 in the back of my mind, love air cooled vw's, so why not? I will have to get rid of a couple in the fleet to justify adding something else (plus have any space at all).
  5. found this with a quick search, maybe some help here: http://www.jonko.com/auto_repair/honda/honda_auto_repair.html Hope it helps, no dash (warning?) lights sounds more like a computer issue to me, but don't take my word for it, could still be something simple.
  6. Ouch! Could be a computer problem. I take it it cranks over with spark and catches then dies due to no spark? Make sure fuel and air are ok before focusing on spark. Check all grounds too.
  7. Here is the official site for anyone who wants to see newer production models: http://www.alfaromeo.com
  8. Seen pics of the newer 156's and 166's. Not sure of the design house but the new ones look super hot.
  9. JB, hp is rated at 192DIN. The owners manual states 183 CV SAE net at(5600 rpm). The best part is torque max 191 ft-lbs at 4400rpm!
  10. You are a lucky man as the pun says Colter. I would love to be able to hear Palmer live in a setting like that. As for the magnum of wine, a friend of mine saw ELP back in the seventies and told me that emerson downed a bottle of cognac during the show.....
  11. Then there's the story of the (airline) scab who got hit by lightning while standing in her kitchen...
  12. Hey! What d'ya know! Didn't try anything different than before but it worked. Feels kind of anti-climactic after so much frustration, yet some satisfaction is seeping in. I hope someone at least enjoys the pic.
  13. try it this time with pop up blocker off. that did not help either....... I think the problem lies in getting the attachment window to download correctly.
  14. At least I'm not the only one......If it would work I would go out a take a pic of one of my German engines and post it just to save my sanity. However, I have tried other pics as well just to test and no luck.
  15. Thanks Marvel but it just doesn't work no matter which file I try, including ones I have used successfully before. This appears to be between me and the forum.
  16. Yeah I figured that after seeing a recent jt1stcav post. For some reason the upload gets stuck. Restart did not help, there have been isp problems recently so it might be the loving cable company again if it is not the browser, which seems to do everything else fine right now.
  17. I have been using the options tab method as you can see from my first post (I think you can see a file attached on the post). It is a weekend for the forum, uploading just would not complete. I'll try again: still won't upload, it stops about halfway. Could be from my end or a forum glitch if others are having difficulty around now.
  18. No, right actor, wrong movie. This was a Corman production....with Nancy Sinatra......
  19. Amy really knows her movies! Anyone recognize this one? We wanna be free! We wanna be free to do what we wanna do. We wanna be free to ride. We wanna be free to ride our machines without being hassled by The Man! ...
  20. I downloaded the power tool resizer and could only manage to get the file size to 88kb. The size kept staying the same after hitting small on the resized pic twice. So I took the ms paint route and went 20% on stretch/skew and here it is: Well ok here it isn't. Having no luck with uploading right now....
  21. Happy Anniversary from me as well. Nice gift, especially the paying attention to what you might like part.
  22. That sounds like Easy Rider to me. If not, it's a variation taken from it and used elsewhere. OK man, everyone knows the build up to this line but do you remember this? "I gots to know."
  23. I have the Dutch import on Phillips LP with Herbert Kegel and the Leipzig Radio Chorus and Radio Symphony Orchestra. I don't know if it is available on CD. I've heard it live more than recorded and can't say how this one stacks up. Maybe someone else has?
  24. No offense taken. I used a camera new to me. When I post the engine shot (taken on the other camera) I will try the resize gizmo. I have learned just about everything I know about computers (fits on the head of a pin) on the fly. Now I know what to look for in a file size, and even to find out what it is first before sending images . Thanks. Plus, I am really impressed that no one has suggested that I should have spent the money on separates! Basically, this deal was more tempting than any I have yet to see on that front, plus the waf is higher.
  25. Alright Thebes, I won't hunt you down and kill you like the dog you know you are this time.....(Micheal Franks, oh yeah I remember his stuff, it does tend to bring out the jealosy or something like that). I am putting forth a gift to me by my loving wife...on cd called Yes--Extended Versions:The Encore Collection. Live recorded Yes which seems to me to be a purer, cleaner Yes than the studio versions, especially regarding the vocals of Jon Anderson and the bass of Chris Squire. My Forte II's were rocking to this one. At first you might critique the compression, but fu'get about it! Just immerse yourself into the music and enjoy. A great buy new for only 7 bucks. Now send me my prize.......
