  1. I'll get a quote this weekend... As long as you're not in a location that is out of the way in that it adds shipping costs, I am good with it.
  2. The horn is where the bass comes from... Not so much the driver.
  3. Just looked back through my email... $129 a woofer. You have to provide your serial numbers to the speakers.
  4. I bought brand new woofers directly from Klipsch last year... For a little over $200. If you're not going to "upgrade", that would be my route.
  5. I have a mismatch of those drivers as well. If you buy and want two of the same, I may be able to help.
  6. Prices lowered as I would like to clear space.
  7. I pulled the mantel off from above the fireplace because it was about as high as I am tall and I hated having the TV so damn high. I have to replace the mantel to mount lower, so I thought it would be worth incorporating the center channel speaker into it. I am interested in seeing how it sounds... I will build a crossover for it this weekend and might even get to start taking measurements. Size reference:
  8. I'm not going to get that far into it. Additionally, the front baffle is braced by a woofer and horn, which I was already going to support the back of the horn as it's got a lot of weight hanging off it. I was already going to brace the rear panel due to size and thickness. They already sound pretty good, so I'm not going to fret over every little possible thing that could be done.
  9. This is what I just did on my 1982 Heresy's. I am also connecting this brace to the rear panel for bracing as well. Additionally, I will add an adjustable brace for the squawker horn, similar to what is on the La Scala.
  10. I had previously installed CT-120's and A-55-G's. The boxes needed refinished, so I decided to brace them, move the capacitors over to a smaller board (previous owner upgraded the caps, but did a poor job) with Sonicaps. I also have some CT-1228 drivers to install when I put it back together. I thought out porting it, but didn't read very far into it. I am thinking about embedding magnets into the front baffle for the grilles as I do not like the velcro option that was originally on there.
  11. So you see it too? 😛 I decided to clean it up and put it all on newer, smaller boards. I just got done moving it all over and will solder tomorrow.
  12. The Heresy's I bought already had the caps replaced... It wasn't the prettiest of jobs, but it worked. The previous owner used Solens, but since I am redoing them, I picked up some Sonicaps.
  13. What would you like? The K-55-V? Just checking to make sure you know that I just have one K-55-M and one K-55-V.
  14. I have a pair of 1982 Heresy's I am refinishing and upgrading, so I am selling off the parts I am not using. The speakers were not sequential, so I'm not sure if that factors into why there is one K-55-V (soldered) and one K-55-M, or if one was replaced at some point. I honestly did not hear a difference between the speakers prior to finding out they were different. K22 - $150 shipped/pair - $120 Shipped - Sold K-77-M - $150 shipped/pair - $120 Shipped - Sold K-55-V - $140 shipped - Single Driver - $110 Sold K-55-M - $110 shipped - Single Driver - $90 Sold Feel free to make reasonable offers. All speakers came out working perfectly, I just decided to match the upgrades from my La Scala's with all Crites stuff.

If you've seen Fastest Car, season 2, you've seen us. :). We recently ran our first 8 second pass with the 1995 Taurus SHO and the hood flew off in the process!

When I hit, it was actually at an AutoX. I barely tapped the light base. It definitely could have been a lot worse. It did not touch the frame or suspension. I am waiting for the weather to clear back up to go to the dyno and dial the car in, but probably between 370-400whp. I'm only going to run 8-10 PSI. The chassis can take it just fine. My buddy, Robert Thorne has like 640-700whp and he is a professional driver... Driving it like a professional. You can Google his name and or "The Big Bad Wolf S2000" to get an idea. Most of my changes to handle the power are cooling and aero.
  17. I just turned 38 and have been feeling this way for a few years. I retire from one job this year, plan to quit the other once I hit my 5 year mark (I am over 3.5 now), and just make my side hustle my actual job. I have great jobs and have done "what I am supposed to" for years... I just don't give a shit anymore though. I've intentionally set myself up not to be trapped in a job like many of the guys I work with.

I got that part covered as well... Though, it's how I go to the track.

One is definitely a purpose-built car when it comes to handling.

The AP2's (04+) do not burn oil. AP1's (99-03) can sometimes burn some oil. I didn't add the air-oil separator until I put the turbo on. I wasn't consuming oil on track, so I never installed it. I have not tracked the turbo set up yet.

They are decent all-around cars, I just never found anything they do really well. I can say I have fun in the mountains every now and again, since I live in them. Are you referring to capacity or burning?
