  1. I got my AVR replacement today. That was fast, great job APC!!!!! And the best thing of all, the packaging was outstanding! Yeah - right!
  2. I bet this guy is probably the winner of the Klipsch THX system sweepstakes...hehehehe.
  3. Thanks for the links. I do have a line conditioner/surge protector by Monster. Yes, that monster. Anyway, called APC support. They are going to replace my unit so I have a wait time between 3-5 business days. Then I need to send them back the dead one.

Come to think of it, I have never seen or heared my AVR fire since I purchased and used it. However, I would still feel better with the extra protection on my "investment".
  5. I got an APC LINE-R LE1200 AVR last November and while watching TV it crapped out on me. Yes, totally dead. I wasn't even using my HT. Geezzeee....what a waste of money. Well I got it only for $44 and it still has a 2 year warranty. Problem is, I bet shipping would be a pain because this unit is kindda heavy. I have a line conditioner/surge protector already (Monster HTS 2000 MKII) but I would still feel better if I have a AVR. Anyone would recommend a reasonbly priced and reliable AVR? TIA

Like I said, the surround sound was great but geeezzeee, the movie story line was really crappy. Just rent it! On second thought, make a pass.

I was playing Kingdom Hearts, well i was going to but in the mean time i was listening to the title screen song and if you wait a bit this other song and some visuals play. Very instrumental and very dynamic. After it was over i thought i had never heard something so beautiful come out of my speakers, so much so i found myself crying in wondering awe. ---------------- You have to play FINAL FANTASY X!!!! It has everything in it and one of the best RPG ever IMHO. I even bought the 4CD soundtrack even though I don't understand any japanese words because the melody of the songs were just awesomely hypnotic plus the story line/twist and graphics will blow you away - guaranteed!

Right away I thought, must be because of the Parcel Post? I asked my Post Office about it & they said that yes, it could take longer. I emailed the woman back and explained the whole deal again to her but this time she wasn't happy. She explained that if she would have known that the book was going to be shipped "via donkey" she would have gladly paid the extra few bucks. I told her to wait until the end of the month which was only 5 more days & if she hadn't received it by then I would gladly refund her money. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4514960545&ssPageName=STRK:MERFB:IID I guess 99.6% is better than 66.9% ---------------- I understand where she's coming from and if I (or you) were on her shoes I would probably have done the same (leave you a negative feedback and some more!). Think about for a minute, buyer buys the stuff from you expecting it shipped first class 3-5 days tops. Then has to wait a a couple of more weeks for it then wait some more? That's so ridiculous IMO and she might have thought that you scammed her regardless of your 100% rating.
  12. Any bid on it prior to being yanked out? Just wondering if their where any potential "losers", I mean unwary bidders who almost got shafted.
  13. Yes, they used to be GOLDSTAR. They also bought Zenith and has a joint venture with Philips for LCDs.
  14. OK I just watch the movie. It was just OK for me. The effects are kool and yup, it did give my HT a good sound workout. It was SUB-tastic!
  15. I got the DVD from Walmart on sale for $14.88 yesterday. Have not watched it yet though.
  16. OK. I got it from Walmart on sale for $14.88. Sell it on ebay after if its crappy.
  17. Any info on this movie? DVD is out today comes in DTS. TIA
  18. Yup I know exactly what you mean. Losing several hours trying to fix the PC. If you are using XP, you need to disable the system restore. That's why it always comes back when you reboot your system. Also use HIJACK. With it, you can track down all "programs" that were suddenly installed into your PC/Registry. You can delete the offending files with it (just make sure you are deleteting the malware and not a system file itself). Then replace your IE with FIREFOX!!!! FIREFOX rules!!! Lastly, I would stay away on those "nasty but entertaining" sites (if you know what I mean)!
  19. Nothinge beats my car audio - it's made by BOSE!!
  20. I have a WS TV and I love watching my WS DVDs in it. Last night a friend dropped by for a visit, saw my HT and brought up this topic which never really bothered me until she asked me. Why is it that on some WS DVDs, even if you watch them in a WS TV, you still see that BLACK HORIZONTAL bar above and below the movie. However, on other WS DVD movies (like SHREK 2), you don't have it?
  21. Agree! It's really a funny movie. Better than the first one. OT - I watched Teri Polo (Ben's wife in the movie) in Letterman a couple of nights ago. Really one gorgeous lady. She's on the February issue of Playboy where it says on the front page "She's one hot Focker" (haha). And NO, I have not seen it yet if you're wondering.
  22. Yup I did watch it too. Nice documentary and I enjoyed it a lot. There was another special I watched (I think it's on the same channel) and it was about Ali. He watch the broadway show "The Greate White Hope", the story about JJ. He came to see himself in JJ so when he was stepping into the ring for a fight, he sometimes shouts "GHOST IN THE HOUSE" referring to him as an incarnation of JJ.

However, I've seen deals in the paper for a dish and three decoders, so perhaps that has changed a bit. ---------------- I called DISH NETWORK and asked some questions. On their site they now offer 4 sat boxes so I called. I told them I had 5 TVs, they told me that I had to pay $250 for the fifth one. In a way, I had a feeling that they were willing to give me the fifth one free too but I didn;t want to commit as of yet. Why? Well they don't carry the YES network (yankees).

I have a better picture, better sound for $30.00 vs $80.00. No brainer. dodger ---------------- This is what I actually pay for my cable...geeeezze. Question: If I have 5 TVs, do I need the sat. receiver box on each TV? You see in my setup right now using cable, I only use 2 boxes but the remaining 3 get's only the local channels (because the premium channels are not needed anyway). Possible? TIA
  25. Leaving a feedback sometimes can put you in a disadvantage. There was a time I left a NEUTRAL feedback because a seller did not pack my stuff properly. He basically shipped the item in the box it came with. No protection of whatsoever. To my dismay, he left me a negative feedback ruining my 100% rating. I was really mad and at the same time depressed about it. I got over it after a long while. Anyway, from that time on, I decided that if ever I would give a rating, it's either GOOD or BAD period!
