  1. You gotta' love this forum when a relative newbie asks for something that's hard to find and someone as busy as Bob Crites takes the time to help out....for free. That's pretty cool.
  2. We buy the "Entertainment" coupon book every year. The school sells them as a fund raiser. It's got loads of "buy one get one free" coupons for the local restraunts, especially pizza and subs......my favorites. There are also discount coupons for movies, theme parks, sporting events, auto repair, etc. Just go to www.entertainment.com to see if they're available in your area.
  3. I'm a real "go getter". I take my wife to work. When she's done, I "go get her".
  4. Here's another sweet classified ad I've found. These are near Miami, Florida. "KLIPSCH LEGEND SPEAKERS, KLF 30 front speaker pair, C7 center channel and KSB 2.1 surrounds, all in black, they play excellent and are in good shape, will sell seperately, $1000 obo, 305-604-5549 - miami"
  5. I would be all over the seller if those woofers are bad. Maybe you can convince him to swap them for the ones in his Cornwalls.
  6. Thump: I did run the speaker wires from the amp to the posts on the woofer door and left the lead disconnected to the crossover. Is this what you meant by by-passing the X over? Thanks again guys. JJ ---------------- Yes. Be sure you have a signal coming from the receiver. Then hook your wires directly to the posts on the woofers. Good luck.

Aren't you in Ohio, too? I was watching your auction for the single K-77 and would have paid more than $50, but we were out of town when it ended. These speakers originally had the K-77, so that's what I really want to find. Thanks for offering to help.
  8. I'd try sending a signal directly to the woofer, bypassing the xover for testing.
  9. "Rick, whats wrong with buying off ebay???? i buy and sell all my stuff on ebay." Budman. Some have better luck than others on Ebay. I've sold hundreds of items there and never had a complaint, but almost everything I buy arrives damaged, broken or not as described.....if at all. Besides, I'm here a lot (lurking and learning) and thought someone might WANT to sell me some tweeters. ---------------- On 2/8/2005 11:14:22 PM Seadog wrote: "I bought a pair of 79 Cornwalls with radio shack horn tweeters in them, so I need two K-77s." Who would do such a horrible thing! ---------------- I found these in the paper, advertised as "Eclipsh Cornwells". It was only 4 or 5 degrees on the morning I picked them up. They were kept in the sellers garage, so I just took his word that they were all original and everything worked. On the bright side, (and don't laugh) the radio shack horns are not that bad. Trey and one of the Steves at Klipsch have both used them in Heresys with decent results. Still, I'd rather have the K-77s.
  10. ---------------- On 2/8/2005 11:32:15 AM dbflash wrote: Rick, Get in touch with member BEC. he can repair you old ones or maybe be able to help you find new ones. Danny ---------------- Thanks for the advice dbflash, but repair is not an option. I bought a pair of 79 Cornwalls with radio shack horn tweeters in them, so I need two K-77s. I'm guessing Bob has seen my request, but doesn't have any to sell right now.
  11. I'm looking for a pair of K-77 tweeters and don't want to buy off Ebay. Does anyone here have a pair they'd like to sell? Thanks, Rick.
  12. Here's where I saw it. Near the bottom of the page. http://www.fredsoundofmusic.com/gifts.html
  13. You might look at the Magnum Dynalab SR-100 Ribbon Antenna. It's advertised for FM and UHF High Definition use. I assume it's good for normal (non hi-def) UHF signals, as well. The SR-100 sells for about $35. Good luck. Rick
  14. It won't raise until someone else bids more than $5.50. You will be high bidder until someone bids more than $10.
  15. I want to touch my stuff before I commit to handing over the cash. ---------------- That's exactly why I always wash my hands after handling money!
  16. Well congratulations on the Khorns. Please show some pictures and let us know how you like the sound when you get a chance.
  17. They're worth every penny. I just wonder if the buyer really thinks the cabinets are "cherry wood"?
  18. "but i run 2 amps, how would i hook the 2nd amp up to a single eq" Use a pair of splitters (y adaptors) after the EQ to supply a signal to both amps.
  19. I just called the guy. He seems really nice and has some other stuff for sale, too. The Heresys (or "Harrasays") in the ad are actually Quartets, which explains the passive woofer.....that's the bad news. The good news is that he offered to sell the K-horns and Cornwalls together for $1650. Why can't deals like this come to my neighborhood??!!?? BTW....He's also got an SW-15 subwoofer, some Carver stuff and an Adcom CD changer for sale.
  20. Last one....I think. "KLISCH HARRASY 2 SPEAKERS, horn teewter and mid range, 12 in woofer and rear 12 in passive woofer, oak, $1250 NEW $400 /OBO"
  21. The same person has this ad for Cornwall II speakers. Their spelling's a little better in this ad....but not much. "INCREDIBLE KLISCH CORN WALL 2 SPEAKERS, concert hall quality, horn speakers, $1850 new $800 bo, cash only; 612-861-3434"
