  10. Had I never built the open baffles, I would never have believed that they would even work! Ever since, I have been stuck in the realm of the OB. The sound, to me, is just fantastic. Dynamic, and very 3 dimensional. BTW, my center channel is a pure OB speaker with a Tang Band 1808 8" driver from 270Hz-20kHz and the same dual 15" open baffle for 40-270Hz. It is by far the best center channel I have used in my home theater. Crystal clear dialog and it just sounds great. I will say that my recent changes to my acoustic treatments have helped quite a bit in maximizing the OB potential. Making a simple OB is easy and doesn't take much time. Next time you have a few drivers lying around, give it a shot. I was playing around this summer and I built a pair of H frames. I was going to put some Audio Nirvana super 8's on top of them but never finished them. Well I decided to try them with my Belles. It started out rough because I could get them to match the output of the Belles. I tried several amps to find the right gain amp to match and 15db on the Belles and 29db on the H frames works. And let me say well these things are awesome sounding they easily beat out my SVS-SB-13-Ultra. I would like to thank Dave Harris for inspiring me to build them
  11. I do think it is a good price... Tomorrow I hope to list my MC202. I haven't decided on a good price for it yet. I wonder what a good price is too. Also would you be willing to drive to Palestine TX and meet me? Thanks Brian
  12. Well they made it home safe. Now I need to get them hooked up and give them a listen. I cleaned them up, replaced the networks and ordered some glass tops for them. I have also just completed a pair of H Frame subs.
  13. Thanks It is going to be awesome to get some Klipsch back in the house. My first speakers were KG 4.5 then got a Outlaw AVR and bought KG 2.5 for the rear and KV 3 center. I then sold it all to friend and bought KLF 20 and a VAC tube amp. Then traded the KLF 20 for some more kid friendly La Scala's. All over about 18 years though LOL
  14. Now that would be at least 4.5 hrs in the wrong direction and 4.5 back plus another 2 at least to get there through Arkansas. I do love to dig for Diamonds though.
  15. Will do Carl. Going to get them will be a vacation indeed. Where are they? Linville, North Carolina We have never been to the Smokies. It is going to be Awesome. I have some white water rafting already planned.

  17. So six month or so ago I sold my La Scalas of 12 years to buy some new speakers. I wanted something that looked and sounded better. I bought a sub woofer from SVS and it is great. So decided after reading all the wonderful reviews on there Ultra towers it was time to sell the La Scalas and buy the SVS Ultra Towers. Well the Ultras look better. Only because the La Scalas where a little beat up and some *** lacquered with polyurethane and did a horrible job before I got them. Damn and I am not sure if they sound better. My only complaint with the La Scalas was I felt like I had to listen to them to loud for them to open up and sound great. I replaced the crossovers with ALK Universals many years ago and there was a noticeable improvement. But now I wonder if the new ALK Universal economy crossovers would fix this problem with the ability to turn down the squeaker and the tweeter. Well how about the looks? A beautiful pair of Walnut Belles will fix this problem. I will be going to get these in a few weeks. Besides I missed you guys and felt like a traitor for playing on here and not having any Klipsch in the house.
  18. Are the crossovers still available? Thanks Brian
  19. What would be the shipping to Beaumont Tx 77706 for those horns? Thanks Brian
  20. Carl is right Kyke. It is the middle house across from Marshall on Dowlen. Yall want to build some H frames? I am buying LOL
