  1. That is why I don't go to any of our local movie theaters. The sound is seriously slacking! I've never heard any theater with worse sound. Unfortunately, there are NO Klipsch theaters around................. But, dispite the sound, I just may have to go watch the new X Men though when it hits theaters here!
  2. I'm not so sure I would try to paint them. If they get nicked it will scratch them, which would lead to the paint chipping, etc. I might consider it a good idea if they were real wood, and not "laminate". I have to ask............ how do they sound on 12" stands? I wouldn't imagine that would help the sound at all. If anything, I would think it would make them sound worse? I've always been told that you want the tweeters at or around ear level....................
  3. Top Notch! I know they say jealousy is a sin, but.............
  4. NM, you're right. When you try to checkout it does take you to Vann's.... Look on Ebay
  5. Huh, it worked for me? Try just going to the website www.webspider.com
  6. You kids are spoiled these days! J/K When I was 20, I was living in my first apartment, working 1 full time, and 1 part time job, and trying to go to school all at the same time. On top of all that, I was trying to keep my gf at the time happy. Well, I got tired of that lifestyle, so I came into the military...........
  7. I've never heard of this website, and I don't know if they're an authorized dealer or not, but here's some.......... http://www.webspider.com/Klipsch-B2-CHERRY_13315085.html
  8. I've personally never seen any cherry ones...........
  9. Here's the rig you want!!! http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rf-62-home-theater-system.aspx
  10. I agree with CECAA. As far as the room size you mentioned, that's the exact size of my room. IMHO, there is no such thing as too much speaker for any certain room. I would definitely look elsewhere besides the RF 10's. Maybe in a bedroom system, but other than that, probably not the best choice.......
  11. I agree with Russ totally here. I do have current subscriptions to Sound and Vision and HT magazine that I got as Xmas gifts. But, they are simply "toilet material" for me. It's very rare that I actually read a whole magazine. and most of the other magazines have gear that I would only be able to afford in my wildest dreams, so...................
  12. I'm not totally sure if it does the newer sound formats or not, but it has 3 HDMI inputs.......
  13. My only "expertise" is in Pioneer due to experience. I've never owned any other brand receiver........ So, I say roll with this. BTW, what's your budget? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8713788&type=product&id=1199496527703

    Sub 10

I would steer clear of Sony audio gear. They don't get a lot of love around here. But they do make some great video gear though! There are a lot of options for "budget" receivers. Check out Pioneer, Yamaha, etc. Also, the used market is a GREAT way to get a lot of gear for not a lot of money...........
  15. Hey plummer, this is a little off subject, but I just checked out your system profile. Why don't you sell the gear you aren't using?
  16. Are your mains set to large or small? If they're set to large, try setting them to small. Also, what do you have your sub x'd over at?
  17. I wouldn't recommend bookshelves for surround duty.......
  18. I would think you would use direct speakers??? I'm personally in no hurry to rush out and buy a pre/pro that is capable of this sound mode...... But like I said earlier in this thread, I would like to hear it though................
  19. I know you need one NOW, but if you can possibly wait, I would get this........... http://emotiva.com/umc1.shtm
  20. I would recommend the Sony S 550.........
