  3. This ones is hard to avoid--I may not post, but I always read it. Discovered alot of good stuff on these relatively lonely threads while the tube heads pontificate about obscurities elsewhere --Ok yes I said it!
  4. Everyone has heard this song with a bass guitar intro that is unmistakable. Huge song --here;s all the lyrics with the title lines taken out-- (talk about spoonfeeding!) ring some bells? Times have changed and times are strange Here I come, but I aint the same Times gone by seem to be You could have been a better friend to me You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes You made me cry, you told me lies But I cant stand to say goodbye I could be right, I could be wrong Hurts so bad, its been so long Selfish love yeah were both alone The ride before the fall But Im gonna take this heart of stone I just got to have it all Ive seen your face a hundred times Everyday weve been apart I dont care about the sunshine, yeah You took me in and you drove me out Yeah, you had me hypnotized Lost and found and turned around By the fire in your eyes
  5. I LOVE Airs' Moon Safari -- a little Xmas music -- Anything by Brian Setzer's Orchestra in the Xmas vein is very energetic and fun And Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's Xmas album from last year is also a blast --

    MI-III

A time lapsed exploding pill in the brain that's installed through the nose -- that'll get your attention. Alot of elements that are just too much, over the top, silliness --but well acted, perfectly executed so somewhat believebale for the story. Tom doing the rope swing around buildings and landing in the right place at the right time is comical but riveting-- A stuntman's dream, this one --
  11. The version of this on "Seconds Out" gets me every time -- Firth of Fifth How about this -- huge song, but the singer doesn't enunciate it when you hear it -- He dont give a hoot of warning Wrapped up in a black cat cloak He dont go in the light of the morning He split the time the cockrel crows
  12. One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small... Cool tune -- White Rabbit I'm glad this thing got revived, Oldtimer -- how about this: She keeps moet et chandon In her pretty cabinet let them eat cake she says Just like marie antoinette A built-in remedy For kruschev and kennedy At anytime an invitation You cant decline Caviar and cigarettes Well versed in etiquette Extraordinarily nice
  13. I just saw this documentary about the Police and their rise to fame all filmed by their drummer Stewart Copeland. Its one of the best and most interesting rock movies I've seen. I was and am a big Police fan, and this is so much more than a "Behind the Music". Copeland narrates in a laconic tone over all the footage taken on his Super 8 from very early in their career and stops awhile before their break-up. There's no new news about them, just more of a feel about what it was like on their way up. Its cool to see Sting carrying his own Samsonite and instruments-- Andy Summers had me laughing out loud with his quips, Sting seems grouchy and self-involved, and Copeland self-deprecates throughout all the fun they had. Alot of interesting footage of scenery out Copeland's hotel rooms in time lapse backed by Police jams really gives a feeling of the isolation of the road, and the roadies, crew, and handlers all add alot of comedy and atmosphere to the proceedings. Alot of the music is remixed and sounds great. and once you get past the graininess of the film quality, you realize how special this footage is--you could never get this story in crystal clear film --Copeland's narration is also a tad wooden, but that adds to the "regular guy" aspect of the film--this is so far from a Hoillwood production that it makes it a triumph. If you want a movie about a bare-chested Sting singing the biggest Police songs, this ain't it -- if anything, this movie shows how important the other two were to the group, and not just musically--
  14. Once formidable teams, Pitt and TB -- TB went 11-5 last year and made the playoffs. They held the Skins to around 100 yards total offense yet lost in the first round--but that was last year-- TB has been playing Allstott more and the rookie is getting better. The defense is very dinged up. Romo and Dallas sliced and diced the secondary for our last game 38-10--Alstott was hurt-- I think it should be a great game--Will Evil Knievel Roethlisbereger start?
  15. It is preferable that you play a certain Styx song while you are rewinding and demagnetizing. You may have heard it -- a later hit of theirs "I've Got Too Much Time on My Hands"
  16. Pamela was aiming for his manhood and shot there

  18. This was a huge 80's alt-hit --great MTV video, too-- a little more: I walked along the avenue. I never thought Id meet a girl like you; Meet a girl like you. With auburn hair and tawny eyes; The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through; Hypnotize me through.
