  1. I see this all the time. The worst garages seem to be at hospitals in my opinion. For some reason it seems the "stalls" are narrower or maybe the cars have gotten bigger. Inevitably whenever I come out to my car there is some huge SUV either taking up two stalls or is parked so close to me I can not even get into my car. That is another rant, people buying these HUGE vehicles and cant park them. On a few occasions I have been so tempted to try to ding their car for parking so close to mine. I figure since it doesnt bother them to park so close then I'll leave them a "gift". []
  2. Isnt this line of thinking what got Obama into all sorts of trouble recently?

    Set Up Help!!!

Sorry I should have stated this before you ran the setup on your receiver. Set the lowpass on the sub to 120hz, and your gain to about the half mark. Then you will need to run the receiver setup again to level match your sub output with the other speakers. When you initially ran the setup, what did the receiver set for your crossover? Did it set your speakers as small?

    Set Up Help!!!

Run the setup. I would then manually set all speakers to small, and depending on your crossover options for your receiver set accordingly. I would set fronts and center for 80hz, and your surrounds greater than 100hz since you are running quintets. Probably 110 hz. Report back any findings. The sub should output a test tone during the auto setup.

    Transformers

Thats funny because I started a thread last year. I couldnt find it using the search feature either, but it is below. http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/92757.aspx
  6. I would love to see/hear that.
  7. Bell Expressvu- is this the MFG of the box or the satellite company? I used to have a similar problem when I had a Motorolla 6412 cable box. It was a known problem with those boxes. The cable company exchanged it for a Motorolla 6416 and I have not noticed any audio drop outs. I would bet it is your satellite box.

    The Dark Knight

Well I just contributed my share of the 370 million or so this movie has brought in. It was very entertaining. I could see parts of Jack Nicholson in Ledger's Joker. I still thought his acting was very good though. I did not see the first movie, 'Batman Begins', but one thing that sort of bothered me was the voice of Batman. That was about the only thing I didnt care for in this new franchise.
  9. Have you been wondering where the little fruit flies were coming from? Is that what prompted you to "search" your vehicle?
  10. OK, all my equipment is line of sight. Would I be better off just staying IR even with long macro strings, or should I invest in the RF base? Still waiting on my MX-900 since it was on backorder.
  11. I guess that is the problem with the disease, UPGRADE-ITIS. It is very hard to shake. I hear it is even harder to break than a meth addiction.

    The Dark Knight

Stephen Baldwin is one crazy son of a gun. Thought he did a great job in 'Usual Suspects'.
  13. I see URC is set to release (2)new models in the coming month. The MX450 and MX-880 priced at $250 and $499 respectively. I may have to cancel my order for the MX-900 and look into the MX 880 instead. Much like the MX810, but software editor is based on the MX-900. Much easier programming so I'm told. http://www.universalremote.com/resources/pdfs/MX-880_features.pdf
  14. For those of you that like to FEEL your music here is a product for you. I guess it could be a interesting experience.[*-)] http://www.cepro.com/slideshow/image/1636/
  15. +1 for Dave Mathews and Tim Reynolds. (If you like Mathews). Just the two of them minus the band, and a couple of Dave's political views[]
  16. Just out of curiosity, who is the buyer? Are you are salesman? How did you get roped into picking out a system for this person?
  17. How sad is this story? What a way to say thank you[*-)]. I wonder if this is the house that they outfitted with Klipsch products throughout. Wasnt there a house where Klipsch donated ZON products around the time this house was built. Sounds like the parents were just stupid. http://tv.yahoo.com/extreme-makeover-home-edition/show/36736/news/urn:newsml:tv.ap.org:20080728:tv_extreme_makeover_foreclosure
  18. Is the stand the one you were originally looking at? The Bell'o model from the Klipsch brochure?
  19. What model is the B&K you own? Personally, I think B&K is head and shoulders above Adcom.

    Need Help!!!

SignGUY, I saw your other post with your given budget of $5000. With that I would start to look at the RF62 package. Depending on your dealer you should be able to get a decent discount if you purchase the complete set. I would think 15-20% would be reasonable. That would leave roughly 2500 for a receiver and some sort of BD player. Personally, for a receiver I like the Denon 3808. Denon is getting set to release a new model, the 2809, which on paper looks to be a pretty good contender. The only downside to the the Denon, IMO is the remote. You may want to consider a nice aftermarket universal remote to control EVERYTHING. For your connecting cables, use a online retailer such as bluejeans cable. They are much cheaper and just as good. Also for your subwoofer, it is not critical that you stay with the Klipsch brand. A lot of people will tell you that there are better out there for the price. These people are big on SVS, HSU. You may want to check out the subwoofer thread for some other options. I have the RW12D, and am pleased with its performance. http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rf-62-home-theater-system.aspx

    Need Help!!!

What type of "system" are you looking for? Big box(floorstanders) or small box? Budget? These are some important questions to help us help you. Welcome to the forum, we'll get you some answers.
  22. Probably one of their better known songs "Head like a Hole" is from the Pretty Hate Machine album. That is my favorite.
  23. As you can see in my sig line, I am a fan of Denon products with Klipsch. If you are wanting reviews of different brands and stuff, a good site to go to is www.audioholics.com.
  24. Did you demo this system? If so, why not get whatever electronics was used for the demo? What is your budget? Do you currrently have a receiver? Speaker wire really wont make much difference, just get 12 gauge cheapo wire. There are all sorts of options as far as electronics. I would however stay away from Sony entry level receivers.
  25. Glenn, Yes please let us know how everything goes. I have purchased the MX-900 which is the younger stepbrother to the 980. I just decided to let the dealer program the remote, since I probably would not have the patience to program it. They are still programming it, so I havent had a chance to play.I am going to ask if they can leave me the software along with a copy of their remote control database for future upgrades to my system. I have read a lot of reviews where the user gets frustrated with the programming and returns it. I did have a chance to play with my dealer's MX-980 demo and I am sure you will love it once you get it programmed. Good luck.-Kelly
