  1. Thanks for all the great info and links guys..........I'll post as I go........this is my busy time of year so it might take a while. Thanks again!! []
  2. I'm looking for another black RC-7 to pair up with the one that I already own. (two-channel system) If anyone knows of one for sale please let me know. []
  3. I'm on the lookout for another RC-7 to pair up with the black one that I already own. If anyone knows of a black one for sale.........please let me know. []
  4. That is my intention........and I'm gonna do it right this time and take my time with some research. After all, this is in my second (bedroom) system so no big hurry. Preamp is a Marantz 3600.......so I'm not sure if the turntable would just be able to "plug in and play" or if some sort of preamp is neccessary for the turntable?
  5. Very true. This forum is a good tool to help achieve that goal. []
  6. ..........That's what I'm talkin' bout!! [] Just give me bass, mid and treble knobs to slightly tweak if needed. [Y]
  7. ...........Vinyl newb question here. I've noticed at Best Buy they have turntables for sale. I can't quite remember but I think one was a Sony........and the other I'm not sure about but they were about $150.00 each. Would this be a good approach to getting back into vinyl? I'm assuming a better cartridge/needle would be next on the list or even mandatory? If this is a good way to get started.........what kind of cartridge/needle would I want to start with? Thanks in advance guys. []
  8. Really? What if you don't..........will it not sound right? Can I just tilt my head or lay down while listening? []
  9. Yo Ear....... Are you gonna use them with your RF-7's? If you are......I'd be curious to hear your impresions. I also gotta brag about an inepensive integrated I matched up with my RF-7's..........Cambridge Audio 540a. It has pre-outs, so with my 500 watt Crown's......all the balls I need for the RF-7's...............$425.00. [Y][Y] Happy camper here. []
  10. Yeah, it sounds good....real good......but in the last ten years or so, maybe less, they just can't keep me interested anymore. They should get made over with lots of tattoos and piercings and pick up the pace a few notches for some good clean family fun. []
  11. Bring back the RF-7's..........with 12" woofers [Y][Y]
  12. I've read that some guys have used two RC-7's for two-channel listening........with fantastic results.[] I'm wondering how two RC-7's compare to two RB-75's? If anyone has had an experience comparing the two........I'd be interested to hear your impressions. I've got two.......2 channel listening rooms in my house and I'm thinking about a third with RC-7's......since I now have a lonely RC-7 doing nothing on top of my tv. The whole surround sound thing has lost it's appeal to me, although it is really cool, two-channel music listening has taken me over. [] I've seen some RC-7's for sale at the Garage Sale.........I might have to snag one.........but if they're not as good as the RB-75's for music I probably won't bother.
  13. Glad to hear you're enjoying the Fortes bigdaddy............ What are you using for an amp and preamp with them?
  14. The 130wpc from the Pioneer will be fine to get you started.........but in the future for the RF-7's.....you'll definitely want a 300-500 watt amp to power them. It is then they will really shine and you'll fall in love with them all over again. []
  15. I agree. Marantz and Klipsch sound great together.
  16. Well tOMZY........ya see..........I lost it about two years ago...........threee years after starting this hobby.[]Let's just say I don't have to go to concerts anymore.[Y][Y]
  17. When you get them..........you'll be glad you did!![]
  18. I have two pairs of RF-7's in a 19x15 room and have another pair on the way!![]
