  1. Yea. I remember seeing a documentary on them and they said the song was originally called " in a garden of eden " but one of the band members was so drunk and high that he couldn't say it right so the name stuck. toodles
  2. I'm just as bad. I know my wifes is in may but I can never remember. I always look at her drivers license the first week of May. Pretty sad. As Jason was saying, my wife is a nurse and works weekends and I stay home with the kids. So I was motivated and did all the laundry, cleaned the sheets on all the beds and laid out 4 long stem roses on her bed with a note that said " you make me happy ". She gave the expected thank you and kiss. Nothing fancy. Everyday since then, one after another, neighbors, friends you name it have come up to me and said that was the nicest thing. She must have told everyone. So I guess flowers do work. toodles
  3. Yea Pantara - primal concrete sledge is a very angry song. [:@] Good pit music. Prong - snap your fingers snap your neck. A few more.... Dokken - I like Mr. Scary. It's an instrumental Judas Priest - blood red skies Megadeth - the conjuring...black friday ....into the lungs of hell, set the world on fire
  4. Great review. I wish I had 4 of them. I am in my garage 90% of the time. It's a detached 2 1/2 car. I have an HK receiver with 4 cerwin vegas ( soon to change that ) and a ksw 200. Love it. My 4 klf20's are in the house and I watch movies in my garage most of the time. Long live the man cave dwellers!
  5. Well, good weather this weekend. I took to old goldwing to walmart friday and got some quilting supplies. I lined the interior walls and wrapped the supports also. It helped it 100 fold. Really softened it up. Hits just as hard without all that nasty boom. Now I'm looking for the right veneer. I'm a little nervous about this part. It seems simple enough. I'm just worried about matching the veneer. The pieces I'm looking at are tall enough, I just have to put 3 pieces on each side to cover it. I hope they match up nice. ( edges butting up to each other. ) toodles
  6. How about this. It's more than enough I know but I would like to have some extra just for giggles. Maybe put a nice maple stain on it.
  7. $599 was just the msrp. Not usually the lower paid price. It's a suggested price.
  8. BGS-12. lol. I like It's most likely picky because of not being dampened yet. I'll hit walmart today and get some stuff. But for now. It likes the low stuff. 30-50 hz or so. Depends on the recording also I guess. I know it's not built for 100 hz and above, but that seems to " ring " if that makes sense. I listen to mostly rock/metal. Not the really nasty stuff. Although I do have some cannibal corpse and stuff of that nature I don't listen to that often. Rarely if at all. It likes dave matthews drums, collective soul, rob zombie, rush, I need to play metallica justice for all. The kick drums on that are recorded really low.
  9. Oh yea. I could stack 10 of my ksw 200's and not have the output. I couldn't even imagine using a 15". Although who knows. Someday I may. It's picky on the music it likes. But then again it's wasn't built for music. I need a name for it now. Something original and angry. Want the honors?
  10. Last night I put frequency to 20 hz and cranked her good. The whole garage (2 car detached) started to vibrate pretty violently. Saw dust was flying everywhere from above. Things like sleds and such started falling out of the rafters. It was great. Then I put in on fast sweep. That was cool. I couldn't hear the higher frequency of course but the lower hit every second or so and it was like a kick drum pounding doing a sound check at a concert at the Newport Music Hall here in Columbus. Great place to see one. Damn I have to get this thing veneered and in my house. toodles.
  11. That's a freaky story mungkiman. Especially the dog.
  12. Never made it to Germany. I was a patriot missle operator and two places to be stationed. Germany and El Paso. I was in the desert from 84-88.[:'(]
  13. Frzninvt ...Witch hunt? Wow your the only person I know that has mentioned that song. I love it. Camera eye being my favorite. Second...Fast as a shark. I got turned on to that back in the army. I play it for people and they start laughing at the beginning of it. Love it. I don't know if you remember but I would like to thank you for the help on hooking me up with those klf20's. I usually checked audiogon everyday but that day I didn't and sure enough, 1 1/2 hours away were my second pair to be. He got a few calls that day but I was the first. They rock, and so do you. toodles p.s. To add another- Anthrax- Got the time.
  14. No such thing as a stupid question. Ask, listen and learn I say.
  15. To all the people that tip their pinky when they drink and hang out with the upper crust CEO's and such, even if you listen to country, jazz, classical or hip hop, everyone has a metal song that gets them going. Dancing around the house like a fool, air guitar screaming the lyrics. Speakers pushing maximum. Share the secret. Don't be ashamed. It doesn't have to be super heavy. One of mine is a soft loving one Judas Priest - Metal Gods
  16. I was in a metal mood after work and put on some of the following... Fear Factory- shock....very nice Fear Factory- gary numan cars cover..awesome cover tune Slayer- expendable youth...gotta love it Soulfly- bleed...angry song Sepultura- dead embryonic cells...big and loud. I pushed it hard Judas Priest- metal gods.. classic. Gives me goose bumps listening to it. AC/DC- sin city..another classic..I love to play it on drums. Simple but cool. I might just start a thread to see what metal people listen to.
