  1. I agree with Tom. I'm planning on using ribbon strip sapelle on my DIY speaker project, and I would love to hear some of the lesson you learned in your process. Yours look great BTW. Jeremy
  2. I bought a 20"x40" frame and it fit perfect. Jeremy
  3. You could spend this weekend posting some pictures of all this booty you have recently scored. That should not cost you any gas money and would be easy on your back. Also think of all of us anticipating pictures, that would benefit from such pictures. Jeremy
  4. Best wishes, I wonder what color hair your kids will have? []
  5. Thanx for the info. I always appreciate the good info in your posts. Jeremy
  6. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$. How do you terminate an unbalanced cable (RCA) with a resistor. I mean how is it physically done? Is a resistor paralled with the positive side, or is it in series? Is there some special type of resistor made for this? I'm just curious as someone who has attempted to make their own signal and speaker cables. Thanx for your time, Jeremy
  7. As my 3 yr old daughter would say............"Oh yeah, baby!" Which side line was that pic taken from? My buddy has 4 seats about 10ft from there, if that is the visitor sideline. The more I look though, that looks like it's taken from the Bears sideline. \ Yeah, opening at SD is gonna be a tough one. They will probably beat the Chargers, then drop both games to the Lions, or some other sub par team. Jeremy
  8. Please don't forget us Zune owners. (maybe i'm the only one!) Jeremy
  9. Thanx Dean! English is actually my 2nd language, as Sarcasm is my 1st language. I'm now cleaning Diet Mountain Dew off of my monitor and keyboard. Have a nice day! Jeremy
  10. Are you still lovin those 75's Jim? I miss them, and i'm always on the look out for a screamin deal on a pair of black ones to match my RF-7's. Jeremy
  11. Mostly vintage Marantz Solid State receivers. It's a 200 piece collection. At $5K that's $25 per piece, at $10K $50 per piece. I think you could make you money back and keep more cool stuff than you'll ever need. It would take some work, but I would love to do it. I'm still trying to convince SWMBO. We have some CD's maturing, and i'm trying to convince her that this would be a better investment. She is not biting on my sales pitch yet! Jeremy
  12. I live about 1/2 hour away. I may have to check this out just for curiosity sake. No matter how good the investment, I don't think I could ever convince my wife of it. I have gotten away with far too much already. Jeremy
  13. I just spent about $200 on some measuring equipment recommended by Dr. Who. I bought a Behringer ECM 8000 mic for $50 and an M-Audio Moblie pre USB interface for $150. Both can be had cheaper on fleaBay, but I didn't want to wait for shipping or deal with other people, so I bought new at Guitar Center. The USB interface provides Phantom power to the mic, and from there it's plugged into my laptop. There is freeware available. Right now i'm playing around with Room Eq Wizard. It is available for free download at Hometheatershack.com. I'm still working the bugs out of my set-up, i'm having a feedback problem. That is all I have to offer right now. I'm sure some better advice will come along. Good luck! Jeremy
  14. I have not had a good laugh like that in a while. The Q&A is great reading. Jeremy
  15. This is perfect timing! I have been looking for new earbuds to go with my Zune. I was about to purchase some Shure earbuds, but it looks like I will be waiting until November to get some Klipsch earbuds instead. Thanx! Jeremy
  16. When I saw the rocks, I thought...cool! Then I read the specs and see that they are not horn loaded in any way. That just does not scream "KLIPSCH" to me. There is nothing "forward" "or in your face" about silk dome tweeters, YUK. OTOH I guess if i'm going to have rock speakers, I would prefer they say Klipsch on them. Jeremy
  17. If I hit the Mega Millions tonight, i'm buying that Avantgarde trio with the bass horn. It's about a $130,000 set-up. Then i'll have a big forum get together and fly all you guys in so you can hear them. You can also listen to my $25 Cornwalls if you wish. Jeremy
  18. Where is mas when you need him? Threads like this make me miss Dragonfyer. Jeremy
  19. Wow, that's a great price!
  20. Tom, you did a good job of not making me feel dumb............Thanx! Jeremy
  21. Hi Mark, Put me down for the BBX remote retrofit, and the 6h30 Supertube upgrade. Let me know when your ready and i'll send it in. Thanx! Jeremy
