  1. Very Nice, I know you will just LOVE the RF-7, they're fantastic, been enjoying the RF-7 for two years and just got a 2nd pair. Wow, you did the same thing I did. I almost got a pair of Polk RTI 12 but when I spotted the Klipsch RF-7, I compared it and switched from each playing different kinds of CD music and DVD music/DVD concerts. The Klipsch RF-7 just blew me away and my friends with me were so shocked and said I gotta get the Klipsch. The sales guys was telling us that they call the Klispch RF-7 the Lord of all speakers! (what-ever that means) cause he said it whooops butt on any speaker out today, he kept sayin they are bad-a** speakers and was harpen all over us. They played the Eagles - Hotel California (LIVE) DVD and all jaws dropped to the floor, it sound so real like you were there as it was playin on the big screen and only just the RF-7 was playin, nothing else, was amazing! SOLD me right there and forget the Polk in an instant. The Polk just didn't have it in it to create the live and real sound of the Klipsch RF-7 with the only real wow-facter I ever heard in even any Klipsch speaker before. I'm extremely happy I got Klipsch RF-7 insead of the Polk RTI 12, even if I did like the Polk too, but the Klipsch is just so live and real that I really like. When any one hears the RF-7, never fails, they are so shocked at the awesome sound, they want one too, and my best friend just got a pair too, now he is selling his B&W N803 on craigslist. I think the Polk RTI 12 got my attention originally cause it had so many drivers that looked cool, but performance winner was clear when comparing the two side-by-side.
  2. I love the sound of the Klipsch RF-7 and sounds fantastic with my McIntosh, and I just got another pair of RF-7 and right now I'm using a Rotel RB-1090 that I'm demo-ing from a local dealer. All I can say is WOW, this amp sure is great with Klipsch like I'm been reading on other forums and on this Klipsch forum. I really like it and I think I'm going to buy it for my 2nd RF-7 and enjoy both the McIntosh and Rotel sound. I really didn't realize just how good Rotel is until this RB-1090, pure fantastic sound too. This need for great sound is going to set me back from gettin a new car thow, maybe next year? I wouldn't change anything on my RF-7, love the sound just the way it is and won't tamper to change anything! Klipsch already did a fantastic job on it.
  3. BobG, I'm sure what you say is true, and I'm glad to hear that because I do really like Klipsch products and want them to stay very good! I'll have a listen to them when it arrives in my area! kenratboy, I'm not a DIYer and so far my favorite speaker choice has been Klipsch. I love Klipsch speakers, but like I said, Klipsch has a history of getting better sound to each new product, I'm happy to hear so far that this may still continue, which is nice in a time and age where some manufacturers put margins first. I am still very happy I got a second RF-7 set because love the the sound and performance it gives, I have no regrets there and I'm enjoying them and all four playing together is even more incredible, gonna get another setup for new RF-7 set and have a set in each favorite room. If by chance I do really like the RF-83, than I can always add a third pair and enjoy them all, but no way, by no way at all will I ever give up my RF-7 speakers, it's one of the greatest speakers Klipsch has ever made if you give it what it wants with very good equipment, the rewards are wonderous and bliss.
  4. I love my RF-7 speakers, and they sound GREAT! I have to say, I'm not crazy at all about the new look of the new line, looks nice but not as nice as the RF-7. Looks like a cheaper look, like trying to look like the new RF-35 with a third woofer, it's taken out the nice hefty look of the RF-7. It would also be nice if Klipsch would keep one top line floor model to be optimized for 2-channel only, as there are still alot of us who prefer 2-channel over multi-channel for us music purist. The feet, I always felt, and still feel that Klipsch could have done a better job with the feet on the RF-7, those awful cheap plastic feet and have always gotten bad press in reviews for the cheap feet. Now with a price of $2500.00 a pair for the RF-83 and still cheap plastic feet. Shame! Even I could do better! But wow, what a price jump, an extra $500.00 jump, sure wish I got a raise like that at work every year! Lucky if I even get one and iffen do, like only one dollar extra a month, yek! I was hoping the new look would be more around the nice look and finish of the previous pics but guess Klipsch changed their minds on it, oh or I think that one started at $4,000.00 a pair called Reference Premier. Well I'm very satisfied with the sound of the RF-7 and I was thinking about another Klipsch speaker, maybe I will just get another RF-7. If Klipsch does as their history shows, the new line should be better in sound quality. Klipsch is known for making improvements to sound with their new models. Hope it holds true but I'm really doubting it with the specs so far. ..... I just called a few places and found 2 places that have the RF-7 that I got them to give me a steal of a deal on so first thing tomorrow morning I am going to be a proud owner of another RF-7 and my best friend is going to buy a pair too. I can't wait! The new RF-83 looks too much made for HT than 2-channel. I LOVE the RF-7 sound, the horn and cones are great, the best of both Worlds.
  5. I am so glad I got a pair of RF-7 because I really love mine and I don't care for the new RF-35 look of the RF-83. I think I'm going to look around my area for another pair of RF-7 before they sell out locally. I have BIG doubts that it will sound as great as the RF-7 but we will see, Klipsch is known for giving better sound for each new product, I hope so and not for more product margins!
  6. I used to think I would never get rid of my Bose 901 speakers but the day I got my Klipsch speakers, was the day that I realized that the Bose 901 weren't all that. I used to have Cerwin Vega D-7 and D-9 speakers (one of the best that CV put out, when they were still CV) and they sounded far better than the Bose 901 too. Now I wish I would have never bought the Bose 901 speakers. Now, I'll only buy Klipsch over Bose any day!!! It's well know that the Bose 901's were also sort of a advertising/marketing scam that many fell far, me too. []
  7. So very, very, very true !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Now do them proud and fix that plant stain. Why oh why dont some peoples realize that plants should never go on top of the speaker! Never do that, its a real no-no! Congrats on your cornwallys.
  9. Looks like a real over-kill for that small cone.
  10. I have faith that Klipsch will suceed in doing just that! Every new product they put out seems to always be better than the previous. That's what I like about Klipsch! I agree, better later and getting it right than too soon just to get it out before it's right like some companies do, just to make sure they meet new product demands!
  11. September is coming up very quickly soon. Will Klipsch be announcing their new products right on September 1st? Or just sometime in September? I'm very curious what new products Klipsch has for us. Will the secret silence be able to be talked about on here once Klipsch reveals the products?? September is only 9 days away!!!
  12. Yep, the upgrade bug or just loving equipment and Klipsch speakers can get you every time! I would have more if it wasn't for my Mom telling me no way in her house. I went to this guys house not far from me that was selling some equipment that I checked out and did he ever have it bad, equipment all over the place and several different kinds of speakers, all really expensive stuff. He had a big house but hardly any furniture, just boxes of equipment not being used in other rooms. I saw why he didn't have any furniture, was buying all that equipment instead. I asked him why he had so much stuff. He said he loves trying new stuff and tinkering, and buying second hand stuff to try, he said he was so bad with this compulsion, that his wife left him! I promised myself I better never get this kind of compulsion cause it would be so easy to do, I'm a sucker for good stuff, but I don't want lots of stuff to control me. Twice now I almost bought some used Klipsch speakers but they were in bad shape so I passed. Good thing or my Mom would have killed me when she found them hiding from her.
  13. It would be a great deal for you if the cost will not be too high to repair it, since Dad will help you the labor cost will really help but the parts cost a lot if it a major thing if several parts, can really add up. It's it's not so major, you could have a great deal, but a risky chance since you can't check it out before buying it! Shame someone didn't take care of that baby! Nice piece.
  14. I don't think it's cause someone doesn't want to bite for these, most like to get it closer to home so they won't have to risk damage in shipping them. I only would buy around my local area for myself where I could pick them up and not have to worry about UPS dropping them. If someone finds someone to ship them and trust it, might by pass the damage jitters! So I think if someone locally to you sees them, they will want to buy them because Chorus have a strong following too.
