I don't think he could sell water to a runner that just finished a marathon but I'm sure he's a wonderful father and loving husband. He'll invade this thread before long.

There's an RSW 12 for sale right now (forum member) for $500. I think you can get a R7 (mains/center/surrounds) for $2500. You can get the updated version of the Pioneer receiver in my sig for $500 (and I think it is quite capable and has pre-outs for adding an amp later). I'm not sure where I saw the speakers but I really believe they were from an authorized online dealer (or so they claim to be). It's the dealer that sells the BIC products I believe. There's your budget right there, not blown.

My wife hates mid-MArch. The tourney pre-empts the Young and the Restless for a couple of Thurs-Fri and plus this year the ACC tourney added an extra week of missed episodes. I go around the house whistling or humming the little CBS tune that they play when they're about to roll some scores or when they go to a break.

I too have frequented the parks down there and noticed quite a bit of JBL, pretty much everything I looked at was. We did sit through a timeshare schpeel a couple of years ago @ Orange Lakes and their presentation room had what looked like a RB 36 5.1 set up.........I know, whOOPEEEEE!

You see, I bought my RSW 15 from Audio Warehouse in Beaufort just about a year ago almost to the day. We were talking about Klipsch and the guy, I forget his name..a slim, mild mannered guy, told me they were going to set up a projector in the Savannah area and that the customer had these great Heresy's. I of course only know of them from what I have read on the forum but I asked, "hey, is his name Tom Adams" to which he suprisingly replied ..yes. I told him how I knew of them/you and he got a kick out of that. He said they were the only ones you would let touch/set up your new projector. That was the day I listened to that killer McIntosh tube set up they had. Even though running through a pair of B & Ws I was impressed. I could only imagine that amp paired up with some Heritage.

So, getech, are you being intentionally annoying, or is it just natural? $3200 seems like a bit much if you look at what he's likely to spend for the RSW-15 or RW12d. Maybe you should sell your JL Audio subs on the JL Audio forum? Or maybe just read the post and check the budget before blindly trying to sell your product. I've only seen 3 of your posts, but I know I'll never be buying a JL Audio sub. At least from you, I won't. good ole' getech. Do you think he sells very many products on this forum.

Well Billy there's one way to find out . Let's test them side by side . Seeing as how mine is heavier why don't you bring the RSW15 over here . and run the risk of hating my sub from then on? Actually, that's not a bad idea even though we all know I will not drive to Texas to pick up a sub. I think it would be interesting to A-B them. Maybe when I move and it's downstairs anyway, I'll bring it and we can do that. I think the house will be ready late May.

actually if the Carver has inverted output it will more than double the power, as does the amp Sunburnwilly has. 133 watts per channel, but 2 channels bridged you're talking 360 watts per channel.

would that sub be a huge (as in big enough to roadtrip from SC to Texas) improvement over a RSW 15 in a 12 x 20 room?

As far as the crime goes, I don't think it's connected, more like street drugs, shootings, hookers,etc in the neighborhoods near Simmonsville Rd, Buck Island Road, and North End areas like around Wild Horse Road, The Oaks Apartments and surrounding(more mid island actually) but anyway can be very rough. 4 Seasons used to be really bad too but who knows, maybe they cleaned it up. Turn on police scanner on a Saturday night in southern Beaufort County/Hilton Head. You would be shocked.

I lived there and know what you mean. It's not everything the magazines have it cracked up to be. There's more crime on the north end of that island and in Bluffton than you would care to know.
