  1. and pick up yet another post in the process. You will have a blue ball before you know it!!
  2. .......and has got me researching relentlessly. I see some really killer Bose products out there. I am torn between the big Lifestyle system and the 3-2-1. Bose says that either system will outperform all these huge speakers and systems but will be practically invisible. I think the 3-2-1 is the route I'm gonna take since I will be able to afford it with the proceeds from my sale. So, I figure I could sell off all my KLFs, Denon and B & K stuff for around one GR, maybe $1200 and score this bad boy with enough left over for a few DVDs. So should I just sell it all as a package or part it out? I need to get at least $1000 for everything, but $1200 would get me the system with the even smaller speakers. Any help would be appreciated. Billy
  3. yer rackin up some posts now. Look out Colt, he's comin to get ya
  4. hey, i see you got some presents from SantaG. Lemme know when you got 'em tweaked so I can hear those 5 Belles roll.
  5. Time to stir the pot! LOL or smoke some
  6. hey Willie, do they serve that at Mag's?
  7. not really TW. more the $150 in any pawnshop, blah blah blah reference. It doesn't really matter to me, just hate to see a guy who helped me out get thrashed just cuz he's selling a pair of Bose speakers.
  8. My Klipsch set up is the best sounding system on the planet. Why? Because they're in MY house surrounding MY chair and I can listen to them anytime I want. I can't listen to anyone else's "superior" system from MY space.
  9. Give Miller a break. He's just trying to sell a pair of nice speakers, not an acoustimass system for cryin out loud. And I know from personal experience that he's a straight up guy. I bought a pair of KLF 20s and a KLF C7 from him and he was where he said he would be when he said he would be there and the merchandise was exactly as advertised. Don't bash the guy for advertising these speakers. If you don't want them don't buy them but don't try to make the guy feel like a dumbass for advertising them here. I'd take them for my garage MP if I had the cash. I'm sure they're a great pair. Billy
  10. How do you like the C7 compared to the 4?
  11. I'm changing out the old KSW 150 and have been looking at these two. I can get the RW 10 for $390 total or a Silver DLS 3750R for $299. I am running RB 35 mains, RC 7 center and RS 7 surrounds with a Pioneer VSX 1015 receiver. The room is 17 x 14 but is open to the kitchen/breakfast areas and has 9' ceilings. It is a secondary system but I am finding muself using it more and more out of convenience. I do get to play it loud sometimes, so I do want it to be good when I do. I am spoiled by the main system. any suggestions on either one. BTW, that's about the budget, not much more if any.
  12. http://cgi.ebay.com/TWO-2-KLIPSCH-EPIC-SERIES-CF3-FLOOR-STANDING-SPEAKERS_W0QQitemZ5838118213QQcategoryZ61378QQtcZphotoQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Looks like an even better deal that Frawley's CF 1s. Somebody's tryin to tell ya somethin my friend. There's alot of nice speakers on there tonite. Some really nice KLF 20s and C7s. I'd pay $650 for either pair of those 20s any day but I'm holding out for a little cheaper C7.
  13. I have the same set up. The programming of that remote is a little cumbersome(for me) but I have managed to get it to do most of the things I need it to do. Macros were a bear for me. One thing you need to do is run the program update, then it will download all the latest IR codes for alot of different components, and I mean ALOT. Look for your TV, DVD, CD Satellite receiver, etc and then start checking codes. After that, you can rename buttons on the main screen and set up some macros. I have it where I can hit TV, and the sat reciever comes on, the TV, the B & K and it sets it to sat input. When I hit DVD, the player comes on, the TV, the B & K and it's set to DVD input. If your TV, etc doesn't have discrete codes then the off/on will not always work perfectly, ie if the TV is already on and you want to watch sat, then it may turn the TV off. Anyway, read the manual and experiment, you will get it. I did and I suck at this sort of thing. And a word od advice, save the settings that way if you get it all screwed up (as I did once) you can always program it right back to at least where it was. By the off chance your component isn't on the list(s), the remote will learn. This is very time consuming but will work. You have to assign each button. Read up on it. I promise you can do it.
  14. which by the way I need to get you up to speed on. Of course, it's only for making back up copies of DVDs that you have already purchased. It even says that in the disclaimer verbage, right before the FBI warnings come up.

    Cheap DVDs

sounds like a little DVD Decrypter/Nero Recode action to me.
  16. or worth burning a "back up" copy
  17. Ian, I went to Frawley's today and he has one more pair of CF-1s left. $650 for the pair. One is in the box and never opened, the other is out on his sales floor and has a few light scratches on the top but otherwise is brand new(never used, anyway). He will ship them, too (for a fee of course). His number is 803-771-7340. Call him if you're interested. He's a very straight up guy that's been in the business for a very long time. He actually reminds me of PWK the way he looks and talks. Anyway, just letting you know. Keep an eye out for the KV4, it won't be long now. Also, gbrlex said he will be selling his KV4 if he likes, which he will, the KLF C7 he has coming. Bro, I can see a 6.1 Epic system in your future.
  18. ok sorry, i'll reduce them next time, or shoot them smaller. Billy
  19. Probably. I am looking at a 8 megapixel camera. You're a photographer, right? How much bigger would that be moving up from a 5 megapixel? Let me know. Thanks, Billy
  20. OK Ian, Your KV 4 is packed, double boxed, insured for $400 and on its way to you via Fed Ex. It will require a signature and I did this for your protection. tracking number is 468682231392866. Should be there on Friday or before. Enjoy. Billy
  21. and believe me, the B & K runs hot. I like it alot, but my Ref 200.7 is a freakin space heater. Literally! When I am watching TV up there no heat is required for the bonus room at all no matter how cold it is outside. No kidding. And I'm talking about normal listening levels. It is one hot running hombre. Very sweet sounding, but hot running as hades.
  22. It'll definitely blend much better. I just sold my KV 4 to Hillbilly, am sending it out tomorrow. I was telling him you may want to sell yours so he can go 6.1 Epic. I also am going to go by Frawley's for him to see if he's got any more CF-1s. He had several BRAND NEW pair a couple of months ago for around $600. Enjoy your C7, it'll make a big difference. Next you can build a center like mine and put the C7 behind you.
