  1. on of our neighbors....hope this one ain't too big, I took this one with the Nikon
  2. a nice shot going under the 7 mile Bridge
  3. going to try to post a pic or two, not sure about the resizing so forgive me if I blow it. My son's first saltwater fish. We caught yellowtail and mangrove snapper aplenty. Tomorrow we go on the real adventure....backcountry for Snook and Tarpon
  4. you're not hijacking a thing. Bring it on. Where were you? Cancun, Cozumel?
  5. my back country guide is taking us out of Islamorada on Sunday. We went out to the reef today and caught some yellowtails and mangrove snapper. We might try Lorelllies but we are a little south of Islamorada so who knows. Yes, it's Bahia Honda and it's one of the nicest beaches in the Keys.
  6. is a doggone cool place. I got a wild hair Sunday night and l told the wife to pack t-shirts for a week and we were going to shoot over to Treasure Cay (Abaco). Well, since the last time I went there one major change has taken place. Passport required. "Oh well, find us a place in the Keys" which she did. Indigo Reef is a brand new place with private boat slips and extremely nice Townome style units. We dragged our 17' Boston Whaler and it is right in our back yard. We were lucky to get a place an such short notice as it is mini season for lobsters which thankfully ends today. There were a ton of boats out there the last 2 days all diving for lobster. I've got a guide lined up for a back country/flats trip (full day) in search of snook, tarpon, permit and whatever else we can get. This is a blast and even cooler coming down like this on the fly. I will post a pic is we catch something memorable.
  7. That's funny. But, have you seen the Weber "Ranch Grill". I'm thinking about one. Its a 1000 dollars, though. It's 54" diameter grilling surface. .... How does Tim Allen say it? "More Power!" argh, argh, argh. If you want "more power" check out the TEC. Like I said, those infrared burners put out the most intense heat I have ever seen in any grill bar none. Talk about stripes! You can make a steak look like one of those fake ones like you see on a display. Not that I'm saying infrared is the best, although I do like it alot, just that the raw cooking power is unbelievable.
  8. Tangent => It just cracks me up that this forum software "bleeps out" words like bre*sts and pus*y (picky used the phrase pus*y footing in his tankless thread), yet it allows a word like damn. Tom tom, did you go on a cruise? How's the HT seats? I'm still contemplating man. I was really locked in to those AND the projector, now I'm wondering if it's a sign.
  9. I have a TEC Patio II infrared gas grille and it is awesome. I do like charcoal but for steaks the TEC is amazing. It will sear unlike anything I have ever seen. Sear both sides crispy, crank it down after 3 minutes MAX on each side and finish cooking. The exterior is crunchy and you can eat the inside with a spoon. I did burn some food the first few times I used it but I got it now. It also does the really large chicken breast sort of the same way and the extreme searing locks in the juices. No more dried out chicken breast and no more 70 minute cooking times for them either.
  10. dayumm, there are some real strong opinions about these things. We run the gas lines to them for a few of our builders and that's about all the experience I have with them. Rinnai and Bosch are pretty big here. Everyone I have come into contact with regarding their performance says the same thing and that is that they are single use heaters period. 2 people just can't take a shower (in seperate bathroom, that is) at the same time. You just have to adapt to that which isn't that hard since it's not like you have to wait until the water heats back up before person #2 (or 3 or even 4!) can shower. I grew with 7 brothers and sisters and remember the days of saying "oh sh!t" when I didn't get in the shower first. Also, when filling a large tub it's a good idea to fill the tub a little more slowly than you normally would, at least that's what the builders tell the customers. One of these things seem to work good for the average home, 2 IS better though.
  11. I never said you were a scammer, in fact I said that "I'm sure you aren't a scammer". I simply said that you have had for sale several items for sale over the last year or so and it's always because of a move. Since there are always different items you must be continuing to acquire things even though you are moving. I just think this looks scammish to the casual observer (better put, a suspicious person). I mean, where does this stuff come from? There is just a faint aroma about it. I'm sure you're a good guy, but nevermind
  12. really, I'm not trying to bomb anyone. It was just an observation. But heck, who am I. I usually contribute very little here other than being a wise a$$
  13. Hey Boston, I'm sure your aren't a scammer or anything like that but dang you are always having to sell stuff cuz you're moving. What's the deal? All you really have to do is offer this stuff for sale. You seem to offer good prices. It's ok to just be selling stuff. You don't need a story about why. It just makes it look scammish, that's all. Maybe it's just me.
  14. I love the advertised 5.1..... yeah where is the 5.1 mic [] its virtual 5.1 Also make sure I forgot to write about it.... Get the highest optical.... Digital just means it crops the existing optical but loses quality...... digital is like blowing a picture picture meant for a certain size over the size it can normally be. The camera has a 4 channel built in mic and somehow mixes it to 5.1 . Don't know how it works but it does . Wired and wireless mics can be added as well . So whada ya say Hotshot ? easy Willy, remember he worked at Best Buy
  15. I doubt he has anything but receivers, but I'll ask when I get the RB 75s. What's your price range? Where could you stand to live (area?) Let me know, I come across deals all the time.
  16. He's only carried Harmon Kardon receivers for a while now. That's about it unless he has some treasure buried in that old shop of his. There's really no telling what someone might find there. You oughtta go for the Khorns.
  17. I spoke to Bill Frawley yesterday of Frawley's Audio in Columbia, SC. He is hanging it up after 40 plus years in the business. South Carolina will miss a dealer of his caliber. He is liquidating his inventory for basically cost. He told me he was letting go of a pair of RF-83s for around $1500 and I know he has a pair of Khorns and several pair of Heresy's and probably a good bit of Reference stuff. I'm personally picking up his last pair of RB 75s in the next week or so. There's no telling what all he has as I haven't actually been in his shop since I moved back to Charleston. Whatever is there, it probably won't last long. There will be good deals to be had for sure and to top it off you'd get to meet one of the nicest gentlemen around. Billy
  18. Miller, I'll trade you a very nice pair of RB 35s for that KLF C7.....is it black? Are you still in Statesboro? I'll repeat what I have said before, Miller is a straight up guy and I have bought several speakers from him if anyone's thinking about dealing with him. Billy
  19. moving, and watching my "free" help from my Hispanic subs trash the carpet, walls and furniture. The one good thing is that I can cuss them out and really just break it off in their a$$ and they don't understand a word I say.
  20. Remember when that place used to be a Piggly Wiggly? They had the best Deli in town. Did you know any of those guys? My niece's husband was there; wasn't killed but they say he was blown out of the door and is injured. I figured you had heard the ruckus, practically in your back yard.
  21. You're gonna flat out love that D 80. I bought one right before Christmas from Costco w/ 2 lenses, etc. It can be as easy or as complicated as you want it to be. I will take great pictures simply set on auto or any of the other modes. It is outstanding.
