  1. Your Mother Was A Hamster And Your Father Smelt Of Elderberry !!! Now Come Back And I Shall Taunt You A Second Time !!!
  2. I agre with jacksonbart my tv is almost $1,000.00 less than it was when I purchased it last Spring .
  3. I agree with mmiles . I have had my Samsung 50" DLP for almost a year and a half and I love it . High def programming and DVD's look outstanding . I would suggest Cicuit City if they are in your area . I have found that their staff is fairly knowledgable , as opposed to Best Buy . Also you have 30 days after purchase to return no questions asked . This way you could actually try out several at home and decide which one you like best . I will advise you to get a good extended warranty with whatever and wherever you buy . Mine even covers the lamp for 5 years , which because they will burn out should pay for the warranty I purchased .
  4. A little carpet remenant will fix that .
  5. Duh , I missed the KG 5.5 reference . The La Scalas will definately have a bigger sound , but you may find the KG's have a better bass response . Time to get a couple of subs that can keep up with the La Scalas .
  6. Don't know what you had before , but the La Scalas have a huge sound . Enjoy
  7. vandek , You have got to try Aldo Nova's Fantasy !!! Rest of the cd is crap , but that first track is gold !

  9. Hey wstrickland ( Billy ) , Thanx for running block for me ! Not only do I owe you a demo of my Belles , but I'll supply the beer ! That is if you drink beer . Us Charleston Hommies Gotta Stick Together ! Peace dude
  10. Wow , Have I gotten under klipsdude's skin or what . To be honest I did audition the rf7's many years ago . They sure are purty . Anyway I did like them , their lower end seemed much better than my Hereseys . But I found that the Hereseys were superior to the rf's in imaging . Most probably due to the fact that my signal source at home was way better than what the rf's were hooked up to . I also didn't feel that their build quality was up to snuff for the price . What kind of shape will they most likely be in say 30 years down the road . Especialy klipsdudes who seems to be sleeping with his . And klipsdude , I sound like your sisters three year old ? He must be a pretty articulate little fellow . A future Heritage owner for sure !!!
  11. Hmm , My Tone , Come on , Seriously ... Yes , I feel my Belle's will trounce any of your rf7's systems . But I don't Mean that rf7's suck . I Have Never Said That ! Get your facts straight !!! But since we are on the subject , I will Stand By My Original Statement That Ref Ser. Have Nothing To Do With The Company That Paul Founded . In Fact I Will Add That Paul Would Not Approve !!!
  12. Spent a few days there , ( car broke down ) . This was back in '88 . Anyway my advice to you is to carry a couple of packs of ciggs. just in case ... Truthfully the fact that I was a Smoker and had ciggs. at the time might have saved my life . I encountered a bad situation . Anywhoo I agree with the member about SantaFe cool town Great place to hang out !!!
  13. Those Darn Little Plastic Feet ... Hmmm
  14. Hey Indy Thanks for the info . Hey klipsdude , am I ignorant , I think not . Do you take yourself too seriously , I think so . My God man , what is up with your avatar !!!

In fact I presently live less than a mile up the street from the old school . I used to play basketball in that gym on Tuesday nights. Coach Luden would let us in. Our Mascot was a Bishop(lmao). Mom wouldn't let me go to St. Johns, even though I begged the hell out of her. No more Rocks or Hogs now. And C of C tore down the "Boston Gardens" and put some new thing up there (Now that I think about it, our old gym had 2 big *** horn speakers in it, I think they were Klipsch) I saw it the last time I was downtown, along with all the hotties struttin around St. Phillip and Calhoun street. ---------------- I guess you haven't heard about Marion Square . Some of the city council members have been all up in arms about all the hotties sunbathing there . More than a few accidents have occured on Calhoun street because of it . It my friend is a sight to see
  16. Hey wstrickland , My high schools mascot was a ROCK . In fact I presently live less than a mile up the street from the old school . And to all the rest of you , an old friend of mine bought a new pair of La Scalas back in 1979 which is when my obsession began . He stuck those things in a 9' by 10' bedroom . It was so loud it would literaly mess up your equalibrum . Great Times Indeed !!! So yes I am Old School in more ways than one . Now if we could just bring back 8-Track tapes , Uh Nevermind
  17. ---------------- On 8/1/2005 3:50:22 PM shane_0_mac wrote: So reference series are not real klipsch speakers? Now that may be the silliest statement I have ever heard on this forum. ---------------- Shane , How long have you been into Klipsch speakers ? Around 1992 or 93 the company was sold . According to the info given me by a former dealer ( About 27 years of selling Klipsch speakers before this happened ) it was sold to a man named Ted , Supposedly a family member of some kind . Any of you more astute members feel free to chime in so we all get the facts straight . Anywhoo this change in ownership changed the philosophies and direction of the company . You would never have been able to buy Klipsch speakers from a major retailer Ie. Circuit City before this happened . This is when and why Tom , the old Klipsch dealer I mentioned , quit selling them . Interestingly though he will still order the Heritage line if a customer wants them , in fact the last time I was in his shop there were a brand new pair of K Horns in boxes waiting to be picked up by some lucky person . So what I am getting at is this , Reference Series have nothing to do with the company that Paul Walker Klipsch founded ... I have heard that a cold beer helps wash that Crow taste out of your mouth , but in a pinch soap will work too .

I have no doubt that the La Scalas sound fantastic, but I've heard some speakers that aren't La Scalas sound pretty fantastic too. So be nice, or I shall empty my nose at you from a great height! ---------------- Finaly someone with a sense of humor !!! But Olorin by the time you read this I have allready farted in your general direction . Touche Sir
  19. Hi wstrickland , Thanx for the a/c advice . What you can't see in the photo is a 20" by 25" return directly behind the TV , I think that this may help the thermostat situation . Even if it doesn't I don't pay for electricity or water . One of the reasons that I have lived here for 11 years . Another reason location location location . As far as the wires what do you suggest , the walls are offset cinderblock the floor is carpet over slab , " no pad either " , only way to go is up . Next time your coming down to Charleston look me up . You inquired how my new Belle's sounded , I'd be glad to show Ya' . Peace Now as for you Shane , Come on , with an Avatar like that how angry could I be . I was mearly suggesting that for $1,200.00 he could easily get a pair of LaScalas " Real Klipsch Speakers " . Now come back and I Shall Taunt You A Second Time .
  20. I have a 50" Samsung DLP TV , last years model . Great TV , very happy with it . My TV is a single chip DLP . I have been told that the newer models utilize three chips . Is this correct .
  21. Great DVD Set , I picked it up last week at Costco . I saw Don's solo show about 14 years ago . It was supposedly the first tour that he was legaly allowed to perform Eagles songs . I think there must have been some bad blood at the time . Anywhoo the first half of the show he did all his solo stuff then after a break he jumped on the drums and killed it with all the old Eagles tunes . It makes the hair on my arms stand up just thinking about it , even after all these years . I saw Joe's show several months later and it wasn't too impressive . Anyway the Eagles have rolled into town twice since then and allthough I would have loved to have seen the shows I would never pay $100.00 to see any band , " unless Elvis came out of hiding " even then I don't know might be a tuff call . The DVD set has great quality audio and picture . Much more reasonable price than what it would cost to see these guys in person . $100.00 Tickets , Who Do You Think You Are Fleetwood Mac !!!
  22. Sputnik You Are The Man !!! Raider Nation For Ever !!!
  23. Ahh This is taking off nicely . Mine is a homage to the old Klipsch print ads that state " You Hardley Notice A Heresey Until It's Turned On " , Anybody remember those ?
  24. Hey Indy , Thanx for the kind remarks , I'm still nursing the wounds that Todd inflicted on me , Preperation H will only get you so far LOL . Thanx Todd I hope your happy . Anyway I've been renting this place for 11 years now and theres only so much I can do . The room is 16 by 20 and the walls are concrete , so moving stuff around is difficult to say the least . The heresy is centered , the tv is not . With the addition of the Belles I will soon be adding another amp , and a modification to the shelf to allow for another Heresey . Presently I have 3 that I am not using . As far as the sound goes I will put my system up against any of the shiney cone lovers out there . " That Goes Double To You Todd " , Peace and wear sunscreen you shiney cone lovin fools !
  25. By the way Todd , I agree with you about the camera . UUUGGHH You Got Me .
