  1. 1. What Heritage speakers have you owned, currently own, or want to own? Heresy, 1981 2. What was your age when you first purchased a Heritage series loudspeaker? 38 3. What is your current age? 58 4. Why did you choose Heritage loudspeakers over another Klipsch model? I have always admired Klipsch speakers after hearing a pair of Klipschhorns. They were far to expensive. I was able to purchased these used in 1985. 5. If you currently own some Heritage loudspeakers, and could purchase some more Klipsch speakers(new or used), which ones would you purchase? Why? Still admire Klipchorns. I have not heard another speaker that is as satisfying sonically. 6. Do you think the upcoming Jubilee should become part of the "Heritage" line, since it was also designed by PWK? I fully agree, I had the opportunity to hear that speaker on the first Hope Tour with PWK in attendence. Bill J.
  2. Thanks for the suggestion. Bill J.
  3. Hi Doug, it has been a long time since I have been on the forum. It great to hear from you. That is a wonderful suggestion. I should have done my homework, but I had a burglary and my Denon DVM-3300 was one of the items taken. The DVM-4800 is its replacement, so I really did not do much research. This new player has some added features over the old one. Bill J.
  4. Thats what I was afraid of, my Denon only has one set. Any other ideas short of purchasing a new receiver? Bill J.
  5. I have a new Denon DVM-4800 DVD Player/Changer connected to a Denon AVR-3300. For DVD-A does the unit need to be connected to the 5.1 inputs on the receiver or will the 5 channel audio play through the optical cable. I have a SACD player that is currently utilizing the 5.1 jacks actually they are the EXT jacks on the receiver. I cannot seem to find the correct answer in the owners manual.

I first heard Klipschorns and fell in love with the Klipsch product line. I thought the Hereseys would be the closest I would ever get to the Klipsch sound. 5. Klipschorns, I just believe they are the best sounding speaker I have ever hear. 6. Yes, I had an opportunity to hear a prototype of that speaker on the First Hope Tour. I will never forget it.
  7. Gosh, I missed this. I have not been on the forum for awhile -- shame on me. But it surely looked like everyone had a great time. Being a member of the original group, I can only imagine how much fun everyone had. The Klipsch folks are wonderful to give us the opportunity to visit their facilities. I will be watching for next year's trip. Bill James Klipsch Fan Tour of Hope

I had always wanted Klipsch since the first time I heard Khorns. The K's were much to large and clearly out of my price range at the time. A associate purchased my Heresy's for his parents. They decided that they did not want them. They had very little use when I purchased them. I've only be able to realize the full potential of them recently when I upgraded my system. They are 20 years old and to my ears sound incredible. I now have the sound I have always dreamed of. 5. I would probably purchased Khorns, my only problem now is space to put them. But if ever I move to another house, the placement and room for a pair of Khorns will definitely be the deciding factor. 6. Be a part of the 'Heritage' line.
  9. John, keep me in the loop on this. I do not visit the forum as often as I would like, but I am definitely wanting to attend. June seems to be fine. What kind of letters do you have in mind and to whom?
  10. Just a point of reference. On the Hope Tour we visited Mr. K. In his home, he did not have his Khorns in corners, but rather had built false corners for them. So I would assume that false corners work very well.
  11. Rob, it really depends on the SACD CD you purchase. Only the multi-channel ones will give sound from all speakers and is also dependent on how the music was mixed. I have more SACDs that are 2 channel than I have mult-channel. What I notice most about my SACD player is the clarity of sound which I believe is the most compelling reason to own a SACD player. Also check your settings on the player. The Sony's have adjustments that have to be made within the player to effect balance and surround modes. Some also have bass management. Enjoy!
  12. John, keep me informed of your progress. I am very interested in attending. Mid-June or anytime will be a good time for me. I'm looking forward to see everyone again. As you said I have never regretted our trip to Hope. It will always remain a very fond memory. Particularly in meeting Mr. K and Miss Valerie. Bill J.
  13. John, if I'm being counted as on the fence -- I vote for Indy.
  14. Gil/John, thanks for getting this started. I am interested in such trip. My preference would be Indy, however, I would not be opposed to returning to Hope. It would be wonderful to see everyone again and some new faces as well. Keep me posted. Bill James Oklahoma City
  15. As a owner of both a SACD -- 222ES and a Rega Planar 3. I find that I enjoy both. My SACD IMOP is the best CD player I have ever owned. Both of these machines are recent acquisitions. I still have close to 300 LPs and have started a collection of SACDs. I think each have thier merits. But I must say SACD will blow you away with the proper setup. ------------------ Bill J.
