  1. I was still able tp find superbit titles for $10 in the racks at various BB's. Online it doesn't show this.

    Worst movie of 2005

Another movie that should get a razzie is the remake of The Dukes of Hazzard with Burt Reynolds and Jessica Simpson was terrible. It was a dumb TV series and a even worse movie. And you right Alexander was bad but it was a 2004 film. Aeon Flux was a great rip off at the theature! The ad looked kinda like Underworld action, but it stunk...bad!
  3. Marginally better video, its really the audio side (dts) that superbit DVD's excel at. Best Buy has been pushing all their Superbits DVD out at $10, so get them while you can. Its really kinda stupid that you have Spiderman 2 superbit that has great audio, but no extras like the normal wide screen DVD which consists of two disks.
  4. I think they are available by contacting custmer service (free) but Klipsch should advertise them under the parts or iFi information web page. [8-|]
  5. Nice article! The last comment of the article says it all. "In sum, the resolution capabilities of advanced displays have caught up to the resolution of the 1920 x 1080/60p HD scanning format, but it will be a while before there is much native 1080/60p material available for viewing." So I think you should just buy what you need, not get caught up in the HD marketing blitz that claims 1080P is here when the number of true HD movies is so few, and the 1080P HD input/output standards are not quite here. All the various new DTS/Dolby codecs that are coming also ticks me off.
  6. I think "A view to a kill" is one of the best Bond movies. Roger Moore's last Bond Movie. Liked the fight on the Eiffel Tower with Grace Jones as the amazonian May Day.
  7. Hope the Pioneer works out. But the Denon would have been quieter (no background hiss) with no signal.
  8. And to make things worse for Klipsch, I've seen the iM7 heavily discounted. Quite common to see them in stores for $179!

    Worst movie of 2005

My choice for the 2005 stinker catagory is "Son of the Mask". You will be hard pressed to find a worst sequel to a decent movie. Yeeech!

    Kong

Then I bet you really liked that scene where the cook got eaten by the oversized slugs down in the canyon. They could have left out that scene....I would have preferred a pack of roaches overpowering him, or perhaps a giant bat flying off with him. []
  11. If you hear sound out from all speakers you probably just made a awful lot of noise that scared the crap out of you. [] Overdriving the audio input of the iFi can produce distortion and more power directly going to the tweeter then normal. But if you put your ear to each of the satellites and can readily hear bass and high notes output then your satellites are probably fine. The sub woofer you would have had to seen very long excursion's of the woofer for you to damage it. You probably didn't have time to adjust the bass output to max. The volume level probably shocked you as these speakers can get very loud (spec is 114 db). Remember the bass output tends to improve with age with new speakers. Play around with a music track and vary your EQ and subwooofer level, if the music sounds normal without any buzzing, or other odd sounds then you are OK. BTW use the line-input on the sub rather then the aux input on the control pod with a computer. That way you can hear both your iPod and your computer audio at the same time.

    Serenity

It was OK on DVD. The CGI was not $$$, but the story was at least somewhat orginal. For fans of the series it least closed off the story.
  13. How unfortunate! I would just stick with Klipsch parts department and get a replacement dock which includes the cable. Doing the old soldering route would void the warranty.
  14. I have read that some Blu-Ray players will come with 1080P HDMI Outputs, but the current Samsung, Mitsubishi 1080P sets with HDMI only accept sources up to 1080i. uggggh! Here's a confirmation of 1080p inputs. So it looks like if you wait the updated 1080P sets will have 1080P inputs. Saw that a JVC rep mentioned that the new HDILA's are 1080P (input/output) including HDMI?

    Mr & Mrs Smith

Pretty good movie, worth buying the DVD, I did. As mentioned earlier great audio quality. I like the fight scene at the end, great ending!
  16. I think your best bet is to go with the new 2106. It is 7.1 100 watt per channel with a brand new 32 bit FP DSP. There are several vendors selling it at reasonable price if you look for it on froogle web search.
  17. Preferably you should have some carpet between the speakers and the listener. You don't want any sound reflections from this area. If you have two large hard surfaces like ceiling and floor to contend with, you could end up with a slight echo (floor slap) and ruin your sound quality.
  18. It almost looks like the stuffed head on top of picture is laughing at your situation. Hope the service people don't mess around too long and and tell you it will be more then a week for parts.
  19. Some users have just needed to do a reset of the iPod before plugging it into a accessory. To Reset iPod nano toggle the Hold switch (set it to Hold, and then turn it off again). This will probably fix your problem.
  20. Jay481985 is absolutely right, the Klipsch iFi hardly gets warm to touch compared to some of the Promedia. Putting the iFi in standby mode (effectively off) should be perfectly safe.
  21. The key words you mentioned are "clear and full". You have to excuse my opinion but the iGroove and Bose Sounddock remind me of high class portable stereo radios. Its impossible to get decent stereo separation with miniature speakers that are inches apart. They do sound OK at low or reasonable volume. The Klipsch iFi uses 8" subwoofer, and 3 1/2" midrange drivers, and 3/4" horn tweeters in each Satellites and can deliver much cleaner audio range and presence from much better class D amplifier. You can space the satellite speakers as far as part as you want because they use standard speaker connectors and wire. So its easy to have one at each end of the room and still keep the volume very low so to not bother the neighbors. Of the three choices only the Klipsch iFi sounds like a home stereo system working off of your Ipod, computer or other device, and sounds wonderful at low volume playing pop, jazz, classical, rap or rock!
  22. Here's the link to that online article Sometimes you have to take the plunge anyway, you can't wait forever for the ideal 1080P display. Aren't you looking forward to repurchasing some of your DVD collection at a premium price to see it in HD []
  23. Your just converting two mono RCA outputs to one stereo 3.5 MM mini jack (still stereo). Audio quality should not be impacted, as long as you use fixed volume outputs not variable as some tv's also have.
  24. Absolutely! This was just answered by ironwoods on a another post. See this link for part description.
  25. How odd to compare some older Lcos, LED, DLP 720P units against each other, and then place a newer Mitsubishi 1080P unit as number 7?
