  1. Sure as tootin' Michael is going to have too teach me how to shrink these things! Our kitty Scruffy
  2. John Lennon proved that love was not just blind but deaf too, just play and listen to anything Yoko ever recorded and I hope you survive! That song about Bill marrying her always got on my nerves too[+o(]
  3. I'm a Frappr, He's A Frappr, wouldn't you like to be a Frappr too[] Cheech says I've been "Frapp'ed"[]
  4. I stand corrected in my assumtion Gary as I don't own a Basis table but I did own the little MMF 2 when it first came out and have 2 friends with the MMF-5's (Shelter 501 on one and a Helikon on the other) which are awesome for what they cost once again JMO! rplace, I have a very old friend in the high end business who sells Basis out of their store. Tell me exactly how you want your table addressed and I'll see what kind of deal he will offer me. (Here comes the flood of request right Gary!) One comment I do want to make is the Table, Arm and Cartridge that Gary runs is no where in the ballpark for MMF-5's or 1400's w/RB300!
  5. AWESOME Michael[] Me likes the light cloth Scally's the best[]
  6. Craig, you have peaked my interest in my favorite group and re-releases! So you think burning this new 45rpm box set on the Alesis would be a better burn?
  7. I would think another big consideration on the 2001 is that it is a suspension table (The feet I believe) vs the rigid stance of the 1400! I can't imagine a 1400/RB300 being any better than your current MMF 5 IMHO[]
  8. So do I need to keep chasing you around the threads or do you want me to just see if the Dr. Who wants all these Glenn Hughes burns[] I have missplaced your pm with address!
  9. Michael, PM me with that address again as I can't find my email you sent with it and I want to get these disc out to you! THX
  10. Frzninvt, 10 years after my stint and the Starlight was still going eh[] So what part of Texas are you from as I'm also transplanted here in Little Rock from Austin (actually moved from Dallas in 1997) but still got a Tex-Heart[] What I miss more than anything is the Snitzel stand just outside the SE entrance gate (best darn curry brauts and pom fritz for miles) and then their was a Guesthouse in Landstuhl that servered the best and biggest snitzel which hung off both sides the plate (getting the idea I'm a food driven man!) floors O' whores would have been the Annebella house if memory serves me right. Don't know if you ever caught any of the un-natural acts at the club out front but many will be etched in my mind for life I tell ya[*-)] My favorite setup in the BX while I was working there was HK Citation 11/16 combo driving the L-65 Jubals which my usual piece for demo vinyl was War's Galexy album played on a Dual table of which model I can't recant[:$]
  11. Not only that it's my better halfs Birthday today and my "Hippie License" has not expired but looks a little rusty around the edges these days[] Question is where will you be and what might you be doing on 4/20 at 4:20[] E Pluribus Unem[ip]
  12. I'm with you rplace, I think that last 2 bones is gouging a little! The only quality upgrade I read into the whole set is that they are 45rpm but what I read is they were cut from the original tapes that Redbook was made from and they do disclaim that in the Music Direct add. Zep is my all time favorite RR band but like many of you I have everything they have released on both vinyl and CD/DVD plus many boots that I have paid an arm and leg for! I picked up there Flamenco Sketches 45rpm single and it is some of the finest I have heard of recent! I'll bet Colt has a half dozen of those roadie boxes they pack this package in[]
  13. OldBuckster, it was my job and not a personal choice of what the USAF required of me in that position[] If it makes you feel any better about me personally I always did my best to alert many squadron pals of the Base Commanders Random dorm and vehicle searches which at least made me feel good in the thought that I tried to give them a chance if you know what I mean again! Prohibition is and was the biggest Government scam of the 20th Century IMHO[:@] NARC=RAT in my book and that sir I am not even if you shove bamboo reeds under my nails[]
  14. Like a fine wine Bob, congrats and thanks for keeping the Klipsch flame alive and kicking to the benefit of us all[]
  15. http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/auc.pl?vintothr&1145932098&auc&3&4& I case your lookin'
  16. Excellent, I had buds at both Sembach and Bitburg! Loved going to the Guesthouses in Bitburg as Bitburg Alt was my poison[] Small world Mike, gotta go get my son for soccer! Cheers (Prosit)
  17. pm, sending you this link with some very kind words on Al from Louis Black of the Austin Chronicle[] http://www.austinchronicle.com/issues/dispatch/2003-06-20/cols_pagetwo.html I just had to learn more after our convo
  18. Picky, I have reserved the farmhouse for Friday night also! A little more private than the Hotel lobbies[]
  19. Can't wait, I'll bring you a little surprise! I hope you like SRV
  20. U Da Bomb Amy[] Amy scores 10 on this card, forum gets 7! How did "Hook" say it.........Bad form Jack!
  21. Cool beans pm, speaking of a small world I just found out Mike Lindsey was at Ramstein Germany at the same time I was[] I just love this site! Colt, if your still watching I should be sending those disc this coming Monday[]
  22. Holy smokes Mike, I was stationed at Ramstein from 76 to 79! I worked in that very same BX part time and I went with the L65 Jubals over the Klipsch back then but only for size and WAF! I was just telling pm what a small world it was, before you ask I was in the 86th SPS[] Nobody liked me as I worked K9 and you know what that meant[]
  23. Hate to hear that pm as he was always very cordial whenever I encountered him at the club! I go back home all the time and I will try to find out a little more about him, when I went back to Austin in 2000 I ran into Clifford out having dinner and he said he was about to be indicted for a wee bit of tax evasion (he and Willie were probably using the same accountant!) and said he may be serving some time but it did not appear to be hampering his evening that night. I got a chance to meet a lot of the local's at that job and my friends clubs. I'm going to see if I can find some old pictures of me and my good buddy Rubin who dated Tina Vaughan, we spent a lot of time at Jimmie's house as we tried to party at their house all the time just to get in on some of the fun stuff he and Stevie would do just sitting around the living room[] I was in Austin when Stevie went down and we held the all night vigil at Zilker park, I remember it like yesterday! Thousands of us sitting (moping mostly) around the big candle which was represented by a hot air balloon basket sans balloon that was fired up in the middle of the park and ran it all night. pm, is Peters Colony what we all call the Colony just north of Carrollton?
  24. pm, I never knew Al's last name but when I worked for Clifford back in the late 80's he was just referred to around their as "Big Al" who I did not know personally but I knew who he was and that he ran inner sanctum records and was like a god around that place. I did not know that he passe away as he never looked ill when I saw him, he was a young man with that big burly mustache as I recall! it is a small world[]
