Cornwall Difference & false wall's ??
Jeff Matthews replied to saltyhook's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
Salty, can't say what the differences are, but mine are the Cornwall I's (not II's), and they are constructed of solid wood with no mdf. I understand that Klipsch switched to using mdf sometime back on all models (maybe the II's were a switch to mdf among other things). All said, my Corns are great. I am sure Corn II's sound just as great. But I would take my Corns over Corn II's even if Corn II's sounded better. The reason is I can deal with chips, nicks and dents in solid wood if it comes to a point of refinishing. But mdf sucks once it gets cracked, chipped - and especially, if it gets wet or damp. Look for solid wood construction IMO. EDIT: Also, I personally would not worry about year models and that "techish" type detail too much. If you have a pair of Corns run through a good amp, you'll know they're Corns. They are that good. What a deal for the money. -
Cornwall Difference & false wall's ??

The KHorn dimensions are on the product information, I think. There have also been a number of past threads on this topic. The width of the wall is equal to the length from the back point to the point where the KHorn turns to go straight out. Don't know the exact number. Looking down on the top, you can see from a bird's-eye view, the top is house-shaped. The fake wall follows the length of the "roof" of the house. What is it? About 30 inches or so? FYI, if you haven't had either the Corns or the KHorns and budget is at all an issue, the Corns are the best bang for the buck. I assume you're looking for used. -
Great T-shirts... (may be a little offensive to some)

Seems I had the same problem posting pics. Instead of attaching pics, attaching a file at the bottom worked. -
"Time Has Come Today" by the Chambers Bros. Next: "Look up on the wall, there on the floor, Under the pillow, behind the door. There's a crack in the mirror. Somewhere there's a hole in a window-pane. Do you think I'm to blame? Tell me do you think I'm to blame?"

"Give Me Some Lovin'" by The Spencer Davis Group Next: "That jukebox in the corner blasting out my favorite song The nights are getting warmer, it won't be long Won't be long till summer comes"

Please explain KHorn performance
Jeff Matthews replied to Jeff Matthews's topic in Technical/Restorations
IB and DD, you might be on to the answer. Specifically, I found the limit of Corns on a particular song. I think it was "A One Girl Revolution" by Superchick (Okay, I admit I jammed to it - but only a few times []). The song is recorded loud, I think. Anyway, I cranked it, and the woofer seemed to belch pretty hard at one point. Then, I freaked and turned it down without delay. I could swear I even smelled a burning smell. Speakers are still okay, though. With the crossover frequencies higher in the Corn, I guess you're pushing more of the music through the woofers in the Corns than you are through the KHorns. Sound right? -
May have to Disown (?) Fiancée

Michael, here's a tip. If you took all the money you spent on stereo equipment and spent it on a woman, she'd love you no matter what! [] Klipsch are like women. You can easily spend a fortune trying to get to know them. -
Sorry, folks, but you're not getting a hint on this one. It's way too easy.

Oh, My God! Look at my post on the Name that Tune thread in the General Questions forum. I did not see yours first. What are the odds? Yours is Flirting with Disaster. Mine's not. Next: "One likes to believe In the freedom of music But glittering prizes And endless compromises Shatter the illusion Of integrity" Yea! (the Yea was mine [])

Okay, the wait has been long enough. Next: "There's Marshall Tucker riding a rainbow searching for a pot of gold. Well they can take the highway, baby, and they can take all they can hold. The Outlaws down in Tampa town it's a mighty fine place to be. They got green grass and got high tides and sure looks good to me." Name that Tune!

Michael, I thought you were getting surly over those tigerwoodskhorns.

Others call it gimmicky, the cliche line is "flying guitars behind me." You mentioned "ping-pong." If you want to make a distinction between "on the order of ping-pong" and "ping-pong," that's fine. I guess anything could be construed as being "on the order of ping-pong." Football, for instance, is on the order of ping-pong, because both are games dealing with a ball. I made the commensensical reading of your "ping-pong" statement to be that multichannel exhibits sounds bouncing around from one speaker to another, something that is patently untrue. But does it bloom?

If you've seen Lord of the Rings, you've seen Narnya, except Narnya has more focus on animal hy-brids and is not quite as dark. No matter how many times they copy this same plot over-and-over, they always seem to entertain enough to make it worth watching. Nothing stellar or new.

There's a running thread on SACD in the 2-Channel forum. Post your question there. Somebody might know.
