  1. Dean, Which model of the P7 did you get? I had/have been looking at the P7 and the SIG P225 as an upgrade on my Glock 19. Edit: Sorry, I copied and pasted that header from a thread that was shut down in the 2-channel forum. I should have edited the title before posting it.
  2. 'Poutine' has been mentioned previously in the 2 channel forum. I was going to provide a link to the thread where it was mentioned because there was some excellent info exchanged (IMHO), but in the interest of forum harmony I decided against it.
  3. I heartily welcome Amy also. Amy first became famous around here by way of our friend and prolific poster justin_tx_16! Do you still hear from Justin, Amy? If so, how is he doing? I sincerely hope you can return this forum to its former status. I actually remember when it used to be a friendly informative place in which to actively participate, or to lurk, without fear of being innundated with personal attacks.

In fact someone with complete knowledge told me to leave the thread because it was all flame bait and bunk !! Old Jazzman knows nothing of that subject at all. Jazzman, I once again I ask that you do not post to me for ANY REASON WHAT SO EVER !!! Any civilized human being would honor this request. Craig ---------------- Then I humbly suggest you practice what you preach!

I feel that his intentions are never as they may seem. The guy has hated me for near 2 years now do you really think he has changed that opinion? I think its best if he does as we have been doing ! He doesn't post to me and I do not post to him. If he persist what will happen will be his own fault not mine. Craig ---------------- I am as well aware of the history of the participants as anyone on this forum. I personally have found that, upon occasion, it is good option 'turn the other cheek' and admit the data presented may in fact be valid. I have had a little 'feud' going on with one of the guys in the marketing department where I work. IMHO he is a pompous ^ss. He and his personal assistant were trying to put together a Power Point presentation but were having a hard time coming up with suitable graphics. I swallowed my pride and provided what they were looking for. I haven't had an official 'atta boy' yet, but I know the personal assistant was highly appreciative. Sometimes assistance comes from sources that are least expected.

Just because Dean is on vacation doesn't mean he's given up his position. ---------------- Perhaps that is where some of the problems lie...anyone who tries to bring moderation to the personal attacks, or who doesn't agree with your position is a 'mother hen'...well that is OK by me. It seems that more that one 'mother hen' may be required.

Nothing on Audiogon at all they must not be to plentiful. Craig ---------------- Again, trying to understand both sides of the comments. Could jazman actually trying to be helpful? If I am searching for something on the internet, I often change my search criteria when I am looking for an item. Just because something is not readily available today does not rule out it won't be available in the near future. Looking a past listings and the time frames involved is quite helpful (to me at least). Of course, YMMV, IMHO, and all that jazz!

If they are that sublime, you should have Moonies in every listening room. IMHO you're protesting too much to be convincing. Anyway, good luck with your search. Klipsch out. ---------------- PP, I re-read jazman's post several times and I can't see where he mentioned 'replacement' could you quote that part please? Just because a person has more than one system doesn't mean he is required to have the same type amp(s) in each one...or refrained from using different amp(s) in a single system. When we go out to eat, I really prefer steak, but that doesn't mean I don't eat chicken from time to time! I am not trying to get into an argument here, just the opposite, trying to put out a 'flame' war.

In Allan Songer's world, everyone must agree with Allan Songer. Luckily, those rules do not apply in the Klipsch forum and a person is free to say that paying $1795 for a record cleaning machine is silly. ---------------- FWIW, IMHO your statement should include IYHO.
  10. Actualy, I sent one of my Monarchys to mobile homeless so he could do a Monarchy SM-70 review (click the link to open his review in a new browser window). I first bought a single SM-70 and liked the amp so much I bought a second one to run as monoblocks and to take advantage of their 'balanced' option. I had them hooked up to the Monarchy Model 33 preamp/dac. I eventually sold one of the Monarchys and the Model 33 to help finance the purchase of my Moondogs. I still have one Monarchy left that I use as a backup if I need to perform some type of maintance on my Horus amps.
  11. The group Bill is referring to is "Blind Boys of Alabama" their newest release I believe is "Higher Ground".
  12. I hope you don't mind me putting these in like this! I'm sure the dial up users a cussin'
  13. I hope I don't get kicked off the forum for this... The saying goes, it is never a good idea to argue with the wife, it is better to dicker! Now say good night Gracie.
  14. Check under you post in the 'General Questions' forum, thread titled "Heresy's selling well".
  15. DiEGO, Your speakers were manufactured in 1982. What really matters is how they sound to your ears!
  16. Congrats on your purchase! We'll need serial numbers to figure out when they were made. Model information will tell the finish. Well, Budman54 beat me to the serial # part.

  18. Yea, I would p*ss and moan about the cosmetics and the non-working tweeters. I'd offer him ~$300 to give you some bargaining room and take it from there.
  19. If I remember correctly, he did speak to them a year or two ago. I'll bet he could make a big dent in the backorders of Heritage speakers pretty quickly!
  20. never mind, I think I see me. I didn't recognize me either!
  21. Which is better is widely debated, and it is pretty much personal preference IMHO. The Cornwalls have more model changes through the years than any other Heritage speaker. I prefer the original Cornwall IIs that have vertically oriented horns (unless you lay the speakers on their sides...which is how some were designed). Then came Cornwalls (sometimes referred to as 'I's. Then the later Cornwall IIs that began right around late '83 early '84 if my memory serves. Go take a look and a listen. You can't go wrong for that price and if they are close by not having to ship is another big bonus. If for some reason you don't like them you can always sell them later for more than you paid!
