  1. For my marriage's sake, good thing I am in Texas (and broke, too). What a nice piece. If I was in the area, I'd be scheming!
  2. I wonder if it stops "close" to Indy? I think Lafayette has a station.... I'm sure Indy does as well. Amtrak offers a bus/coach connection between Indianapolis and Bloomington/Normal to catch this train. http://www.amtrak.com/ccurl/650/716/Texas-Eagle-Schedule-050712.pdf
  3. I was looking at the new Texas Eagle Amtrak schedule, and Hope is indeed a stop now, with a 5:09am arrival from Chicago/St. Louis/Little Rock, and 9:20pm arrival from San Antonio/Austin/Dallas. Sounds like The Klipsch Flyer, to me... ...if there's ever another Pilgrimage to a Place Called Hope.
  4. You can donate it to me. ;-)
  5. Nice console! Tubes or Solid State?
  6. Guess I can remove your name from my daily prayer list and make room for someone that needs it. ;-) Thanks for the update. Thank God you're doing so well! P.S. You're staying on the list whether you like it or not. :-)
  7. Happy Father's Day, Dad! Thanks!
  8. Some models came with 'built-in' ashtrays. ;-)
  9. Great stuff, and a great resource! Thanks Amy!
  10. Dave, thank you for keeping us updated. Ron remains in my prayers in the morning hours and during the day. There is too much evidence, both scientific and non-scientific, that prayer has a positive impact on healing to not continue. P.M.
  11. Despite some recent bad publicity, there are few better trauma hospitals on earth than Parkland. Another prayer, written by a better mind than mine. Dear Lord of Mercy and Father of Comfort, You are the One I turn to for help in moments of weakness and times of need. I ask you to be with your servant, my brother, Ron in this illness. Psalm 107:20 says that you send out your Word and heal. So then, please send your healing Word to your servant. In the name of Jesus, drive out all infirmity and sickness from his body. Dear Lord, I ask you to turn this weakness into strength, suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. May Ron trust in your goodness and hope in your faithfulness, even in the middle of this suffering. Let him be filled with patience and joy in your presence as he waits for your healing touch. Please restore your servant to full health, dear Father. Please guide the medical professionals, as all wisdom and knowledge comes from You. Remove all fear and doubt from Ron's heart by the power of your Holy Spirit, and may you, Lord, be glorified through his life. As you heal and renew your servant, Lord, may he bless and praise you. All of this I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
  12. That'll make a happy birthday for sure!
  13. It's Terry DeWickt's birthday, too. Terry is to heritage McIntosh as Bob is to heritage Klipsch. He's also older than Bob. ;-)
  14. Happy Birthday, good sir! Thanks for everything!
  15. I lost my believing mother to early onset Alzheimer's (and cancer) several years ago. Now, I have my 88 and 90 year old in-laws living with us, as I watch my mother-in-law slide deeper into senile dementia. It's hard to watch (and participate in). But we do not hope in vain. "May the faithful departed rest in Light Eternal." Larry, you and your family are in my prayers this Holy Week and Eastertide.
  16. This radio program exposed me to a lot of great new music, but also thinned out my wallet. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006tp52
  17. Check out a friend of mine's BBQ blog, though it's mainly Texocentric.
  18. Hidden in (and on) the Expedit. It's a CD previewing set-up. Some Polk 20 speakers in the shelving unit, and a Sonic Impact T-Amp with a Toshiba DVD/CDP on top.
  19. Artist: Ane Brun Album: A Temporary Dive Genre: Nordic Indie-Alt-Folk-Pop Year: 2005 "...a minimalist beauty so perfect that it evokes awed pleasure rather than gloom"
