  1. How loud of a volume are you talking about? How long of a time period? How much do you value your hearing?
  2. My daughter took me to the indoor concert they did in Chicago. It was my 3rd Stones concert and her 1st. Great show! I hope I have as much energy as Mick has when I get that old, heck I don't have that much energy now!

  4. They would sell at least 2 of them!
  5. Lancers? My folks used to drink as well.
  6. Rant!!! The "new versus used" debate is a pet peeve of mine. 1 person buying used Khorns, obviously, is not going to put Klipsch out of business. However it seems as though people recomend used Klipsch over new Klipsch quite often, simply because of the price difference. The cost of our speakers helps defray the costs of this forum, of the Pilgrammage, and I would imagine a number of other little things that we all take advantage of. Buying used also hurts the Audio dealer. People will lament the fact of how hard it is to find a dealer that stocks Heritage, but buy them used when they can. As I posted earlier, If you don't sell product, you go out of business. This isn't meant to be a condemnation of anyone buying used equipment, just a reminder of the potential consequences of it.(when taken to extreme) Disclaimer; I have never been employed by Klipsch, nor a dealer of Audio products. The views expressed are my own and I am not anyone's "shill". Rant over! Thanks for listeneing.
  7. There is 1 very compelling reason for "biting the bullet" and buying new. Used Khorns, as all other used speakers, add ZERO to the Klipsch corporate bottom line. If they have no sales and/or no profit they cease to exist as a company. I like a deal as much as the next person, but I want Klipsch to be around for another 60 years!
  8. Jamaician Blue Mountain. It's obscenely expensive here in the states, but about 75% cheaper in Jamaica. Any time someone goes there on vacation, I send money and stock up. Otherwise I with dtel, coffe and chickory is very good!
  9. They have been a Dealer since at least March of 2006. (That is when I joined the Klipsch "family") I didn't buy from them, I found a local Reference Dealer.
  10. Wow! Does that mean my 00 gauge welding cables are overkill? []
  11. I just checked BB's site. The Sub-12 is on sale for $489.24 right now. Not the cheapest price they've sold it for, but it will probably come down again.
  12. No pics, just a RW-12d! I have a GREAT girlfriend!
  13. I'll try to answer your questions. I have the same fronts and center, as well as the RX-V1600. I purchased the Yamaha after buying the speakers. It replaced an older Sony (the model number escapes me at the moment). At low volumes there was not a MAJOR improvement, but as volume increased the 1600 was very noticably cleaner and less "harsh" sounding. I wouldn't worry about over driving the RS-42's, too much. You will be driving them without the amp clipping and the likelyhood of listening to them at 111DB is probably slim. (111DB being roughly what the RS-42's output at 75 watts) I'm sorry I don't have first hand experience with the satellite question, but my guess is that you would need to have the receiver on to watch TV.
  14. Queen's "Killer Queen" How about, "I was just 34 years old and I was still wandering in a haze. Wondering why everyone I met seemed likethey were lost in a maze."
  15. S-3's are surround speakers. I think you may be happier with either F-3's (floorstanding) or B-3's (bookshelf).
  16. Off of "Who's Next" Song Is Over Let's see if anyone remembers this, "I pulled into Nazareth, I was feeling about half past dead." "I just need some place where I can lay my head."
  17. Check out the B-Tech BT77 brackets for the RB - 81's. They grip from the sides and can support up to 55 lbs. Crutchfield has them.
  18. U2 "With or Without You" Try this one "Cold summer listening, Hot color melting the anger to stone. I still remember the dream there, I still remember the time you said goodbye."
  19. It's here. On the bottom of the Floorstanding speaker page, click the discontinued product link.
  20. I just checked Yamaha's website for the manual. You can reset the sound fields in the "Option" menu. Using the "Surr. Initialize".
  21. If you are referring to the Sound field parameters. (and if it is the same as my RXV 1600) You reset them them in the "Option" menu under "Param.ini" I hope this helps.
  22. Another great Talking Heads tune, "Perfect World"! Let's move out of the "Head" zone. "Out here in the felds, I fight for my meals. I get my back into my living. I don't need to fight, to prove I'm right. I don't need to be forgiven."
