  1. I think FMC would discourage you from hot-rodding an old Mustang if it kept you from buying a new one. Any manufacturer that does not sell product ceases to exist.
  2. I have to agree with this as well. A few years ago I posted a rant in a thread because people would ask about the Reference line and numerous members would respond telling the person to look at USED Heritage. At the time I mentioned that used equipment doesn't pay for R+D, the Pilgrammage, or keep the factory open. Sometimes I hate it if I'm right. []
  3. "Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys". "Reverand Raven and the Chain Smoking Altar Boys". (a local blues band) "Howard and the White Boys". (another local blues band) "Pontiac and the Wyandottes". (for you Michiganders)
  4. My RB-61's have no mounting holes any where.
  5. A 2004 Subaru Baja Turbo with 93,000 miles. It's not a "real" truck, but it is perfect for the weekend homeowner projects I do. As a plus, Subarus are like LEGOS, meaning most of the performance mods that fit the WRX's and STI's will work on the Baja. It hauls more than just payload! []
  6. Best of luck with your job search. Getting a lay off notice is always a blow to the gut. (I feel your pain, my last day was 10/01/09)
  7. Marvel those look great. I wonder if they are less expensive than the 850,000 yen the Pioneers were?
  8. 31.4 x 26 x 24 and 205 lbs. It would have to be one heck of a bookshelf!
  9. I want this! http://audio-database.com/PIONEER-EXCLUSIVE/speaker/model2402-e.html
  10. ^^ VERY true! Does that sound bitter? []
  11. I didn't screw into the speakers at all. The side clamps hold them very well. Mine are angled down as well and have not loosened or moved.
  12. The B-Tech BT77 speaker mounts DO work for RB-61's. They will hold a speaker up to 13" deep. (I know, they're holding mine!)
  13. Hmmm, not too far from work and I'm off early friday. I may have to check this out.
  14. Trey, I write this as I head out the door for my son's graduation from Paramedic school. Mine ended after 14 years of marriage. (it sounds like a similar situation to yours). As other people have said, life will get better and you will come through this a stronger person. My kids and I have remained EXTREMELY close and see each other at least once a week. (They are both in their 20's now.) They both love my S.O. and refer to her as their mother. (My S.O. thinks that is really cool.) We will be getting married in the next year or so and I know this marriage will be forever! Hang in there, there is light at the end of the tunnel and it's not a train heading toward you.
  15. Since a "comic" situtation could be considered the opposite of a "grave" situation, then the opposite of gravity must be comedy! Perhaps the Enterprise carried a troop (troupe) of comedians on board. []
  16. I've been a Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music fan for years. Try Roxy Music's "Heart Still Beating" It's a live CD (I'm normally not a big fan of live CD's) He does a nice cover of Neil Young's " Like A Hurricane". I also have "Dyalnesque". Unfortunately as he has aged he has lost some vocal range. I still like the Cd, but some people might be disappointed in it.
  17. Totally off topic here. I have no clue about the XL-23 system, but I like your avatar. Is that your Evo?
  18. Museum of Science and Industry. The ONLY building left from the Columbian exhibition.(Devil in the White City) The Field Museum of Natural History. Pizzaria Uno's or Due's, the birthplace of Chicago style pizza. Buddy Guy's is always good or check out some of the myriad blues clubs downtown. Greek town, China town, the Auto show. (opens that weekend) So much to do, so little time!
  19. Take a look at the RF 52's as well. Price wise they match up well and you will be suprised at the sound quality.
  20. I'm just a slow witted Illinoisian, What is a "Sugar Cream Pie"?
  21. The matching center channel for the RF 82 is the RC 62. The RF 83's are better than the RF 82's. They are more efficient, have better bass response, and a MUCH larger price tag.
  22. Or try these, http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?showAll=N&g=15830&i=121BT77B&c=9&tp=2727 They work very well with my RB-61's.
  23. I have to suggest "Gobblin Girl" by none other than Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention!
