  1. Is that your girl’s daughter Chuck? Also, we know your gal has good taste in guitars; but, what’s her favorite music?
  2. Chuck -- my compliments to the ladies preparing your feast…and to you for the photos. Hope you enjoyed the meal.
  3. i say show them in an order that will totally confuse them…then you can explain everything and you will appear smart and then you’re the hero.
  4. Dude … live a little. I’ve been to some mean antacid parties.
  5. I've moved to an undisclosed location so California,,,,Newport or Huntington Beach? crap … now i have to move again. Thanks Columbo.
  6. hey … will you put those leaves back on the tree and snap another photo please?
  7. That's the gift that keeps on giving or is it the gift that keeps on taking?
  8. can we not also find common ground with a bald man or woman? Stew, Let me put this as respectfully as I am able: BITE ME! Best regards... I’ll pass. But have a nice day anyway.
  9. Thanks Mach. Not a bad winter’s day … a bit windy; but, i love the wind. gets rid of the old and brings in something new.
  10. can we not also find common ground with a bald man or woman?
  11. Quite the opposite from me Gary … this was my view as i drank my morning coffee (sorry for the less than clear photo, i was holding the phone in one hand while not wanting to put the coffee down). p.s. if anyone can tell me how to make the forum stop posting all my photos as thumbnails, please take me to school…I can make the photo size 2.0 (which the forum says is the max) but it still posts as a tiny thumbnail. Just so you all know -- this photo of the Pacific is NOT actual size.
  12. i have nothing to say … i just wanted to waste a moment of your time … and you’re never getting it back.
  13. See what you’ve started Michael…i was just offered two McIntosh MC30 tube amps for $600. An elderly couple at my church was going to toss them, thinking they were of no value. My brother stopped him and said that they had value. They belonged to the lady’s late first husband. Craig indicated that rebuilt they could fetch $3500-$4500. Rebuild runs about $700.I was forthright with this couple of the value after rebuilt and my brother even offered to put it on ebay or craigslist if they wanted to get top dollar. Just moments ago, i was told that i could have them both for $600. I have to buy them … you know that starts the dominos … now i need a preamp…may as well have some KHorns to go along with them … geez, i was ready to get another guitar too. Somehow i must do it all.
  14. Did you tell her that she should be hearing music and that if she is hearing speakers something must be wrong? i should have. Nah, i just told her that good speakers were nice to look it.
  15. one lady was totally happy with the music from the clock radio … another lady told me that speakers were to be heard and not seen. Perhaps i should give “audio" a heavier weight on the scorecard?
  16. were you always that way? I’ve never been financially responsible. I’m fine financially; but, that’s not because of any financial planning that i’ve done. I constantly walk out of a store without any idea of how much i just spent--that’s the problem with debit cards--i don’t even listen to the cashier tell me how much it was, i don’t look a the cash register … just swipe the card and walk away. i think everyone has certain areas where they’re willing to spend more and areas where they don’t. i have no problem spending a lot of money on a car or a guitar; but, i’ve always hated paying a lot for a meal. Now my cousin is a professional chef -- he has no problem paying over $100 for his meal--he says a nice meal is entertainment for him. Another problem is that i don’t get rid of stuff…i have several speakers that haven’t been used in years…i should sell them; but, not the most social person in the world and placing an ad in crags list isn’t something i’m comfortable with. People might want to buy them, then they’d want to call me, and i’d have to talk to them, then i’d have to actually meet them. Hello Ativan.
  17. Go West Young Man -- it was 70s and sunshine here at the beach.
  18. Glad to see that you got away from the Springer show.
  19. Happy Birthday Dean. Hope all is well.
  20. I have nothing to offer except hope that you find the problem soon -- it must be very frustrating. i’m tech-stupid -- i’d be lost.
  21. Way to go man. I hope he gets a full recovery.
  22. I’ve talked to you before Jim -- You’re alright in my book … probably like you, my book doesn’t have many pages; but, your still in it. If you’re ever in Los Angeles -- dinner is on me.
  23. i’ve noticed over the years that this place has peaks and valleys … there are times, it is quite boring. Then it seems to pick up. i’m probably one of the guilty ones weighing on your patience … as i just don’t enjoy being too serious for too long. I grew up in the principal’s office, was once banned at work from talking to people outside of the organization without my wording being approved by a manager--not for rudeness or profanity or anything out of taste (okay, i asked a rep from one of the local cities to please get me the info as soon as he could because that would get my boss off my back and my boss found out what i said) … I’ve been lectured on this forum for making a joke when the poster was asking a technical question -- I mean no harm to anyone and never intentionally try to upset anyone; i would just rather go through life laughing as much as possible because the crap that i’ve had to deal with would crush me if i don’t. I personally have no expectations from the forum -- just a place to “talk” if we want; or see what other people have to say … about whatever. I just don’t like mean and have seen that a couple of times here; but far more times have made some friends.
  24. i went back to the place that gave me a mild bout of food poisoning last Saturday … NO FEAR. (well, a little fear -- i ordered something different). Glutton for punishment Huh i think i did mention already that i’m a slow learner…now you know i was telling the truth.
