  1. enjoyed last year better--Go Giants.
  2. nobody said answering your own posts was frowned upon.
  3. Ditto! I got to enjoy a colonoscopy this morning! The best part was having the nurse stroke my bald head... at least you didn't say the "other" part of the event was best.
  4. i bought all my heritage products before klipsch started including cup holders. I wonder if Amy is behind this--she's never mentioned cup holders in her promotion of the klipsch gear. Perhaps it's only advertised to those hanging out in the private section of the forum? i can say that because i'm sure Amy doesn't take me seriously anymore. Steve
  5. if oppo is with the government then it is your friend and exists only to help you.
  6. Ha, this is not fancy at all, it's about 6' from the street and the back side of the building is Mississippi river levee. A beignet is a very light fluffy donut covered with powdered sugar to the point you should shake some off, the coffee is great there. imo They look like this......I don't know what's in that cup, they use regular coffee cups, unless it's ice coffee ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caf%C3%A9_du_Monde that's insane. how many can you eat before going into a sugar coma? i eat about one donut a year, and it's usually just a plain ole maple bar. nothing exotic, but enough sugar to get me through the year. i did walk next to hiedi klum--i know that has nothing to do with beignets; but, she did look pretty good too.
  7. thank you ben. hope you are well.
  8. all you high faluting, distinguished people eating beignets from cafes' i don't even know what a beignet is. I need a point of reference. Remember I'm originally from Oakland, we're just not that fancy there.
  9. i will listen to a song many times in a row--studying it and paying attention to particular instruments. I'm a "how did he do that?" sort of guy (mostly with the guitars). But other times i just enjoy it without studying it.
  10. do you chase that down with shots of bacon grease?
  11. live will work; but, i would listen to the cuts off Wish You Were Here.
  12. Free drinks tonite gentlemen. Spent last night sitting at the hospital with my daughter while her husband had a kidney and adrenal glands removed. he felt totally fine and then a few days ago, developed some pain in his back. she took him to the ER and they admitted him to the hospital. told him that he had a cancerous tumor on his kidney. This type is pretty aggressive and generally moves to the lung next; but, thank God there is no evidence of it having spread. Surgery went well. Son in law is a former pro athlete and is still in tip top shape. Virtually no body fat on the guy. the surgeon remarked that he and his operating team were impressed at this muscles. his abdominal muscles were so tight and strong, that he had difficulty separating them to get to the organ. He said he really had to bear down and pull them apart. Surgery ended last night about 9:30pm, this afternoon the doctor wanted him to try to sit up in bed. Son in law, sits up, then gets out of bed and walks around...albeit in a HIGH degree of pain. he said even with the pain killers, the pain level remains at an 8 out of 10. But we're thanking God for a successful surgery. Cheers Guys!
  13. i'm an active listener--when the music is on, i don't do anything else but listen. many, many memories of turning the lights out and playing the full version of pink floyd's shine on you crazy diamond.
  14. the future sounds bright for you--I'm glad. I hope your marriage is long and happy. Steve
  15. thanks for pointing that out--yes, i did use photo paper.
  16. is there any truth to the theory that the strength of the marriage can be determined by how quickly he returns to the forum?
  17. He did see it a little differently, with a little help. 8. Alternative lifestyle In a few interviews, Jobs hinted at his early experience with the psychedelic drug LSD. Back in the 70s, i did full scale research. went to sleep and thought that I'd slept for 4 months once. pacing around the living room wondering what a person does after sleeping that long. it's too long of a story for this forum and i'm lucky that Amy has allowed me over 2000 posts, so i'd better not push my luck.
  18. just used a canon printer that i have--$149 but prints pretty good images. i bought that one because 1. my brother had one and he was happy with it; 2. ink cartridges are like $10...a fraction of what i was paying for my epson. the one's i have turned out nice. especially Queen II, YES Close to the Edge (simple but one of my favorites for some reason), and Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon.
  19. loved by many, hated by many; but, a pioneer of the modern game no doubt. RIP.
  20. you can find many on various websites and print them. i have a few of my favorites printed in color and framed. turned out nice. sometimes the search for a high resolution picture can be challenging; but, i've found many.
