  1. Last updated Feb 13th, 2014. Yeah. Those are bargain basement prices. Gotta be up to something. Sounds more like hoarding or buying on speculation... than collecting. Maybe he does sell quite a bit, under a different ID and from a different location? I'm just sayin' at those prices they'd be easy to sell for a tidy profit.
  2. I'll have to try some brisket like Max suggests. Can't bring myself to use mustard though as even a small amount in most things ruins it for me. My wife has snuck a small amount in a few things and I've been able to tell. Maybe overly sensitive to it? Definitely no mustard based bbq sauces for me. Dee. We do our pork loins too hot, up to 325 to 350 deg F and higher in about 5 hours and they turn out pretty good. Rub with olive oil and spices. Put over a drip pan full of water. We have a simple Brinkman offset smoker that I need to modify from research I've done to close off most of the opening between the firebox and grill area so it's lower than grates. The mods also suggested to extend the chimney to below the grates. Benefits easier to keep from way overcooking the end or side close to the firebox and easier to keep the temperature low and better smoking with smoke and heat path more under the meat if that makes sense. Still haven't done anything. lol. Need to clean off the rust and replace rusted bolts. i Anyway, other than the overcooked ends as we usually put the pork loin perpendicular to the fire, it stays reasonable moist. More of a roast pork loin than smoked. I've roasted turkey's in the Weber a few times. The last couple with charcoal, and mesquite chunks I boiled. In my mother in law's expensive cookware .... uh, it's the Swedish tradition of boiling the cooking wood. They turned out really well, looking and tasting so MUCH BETTER than mil's anemic oven roasted turkey. She wouldn't let us do the turkey on the grill after that as everybody liked ours better. Our youngest daughter and maybe oldest helped. All kinds of excuses ... it's too much trouble. Not at all. We took them our old generic Weber when upgraded to a Master Touch along with a new grill. And of course the mil and wife when we were allowed to grill the turkey, you'd better get your fire started.... so I would, and of course the turkey was not yet ready and I'd have to start over. I filled the drip pan with the water used to boil the mesquite and I think boiling the mequite did boil out some of the sap and kind of mellow it out a bit. Maybe the drip pan full of mesquite added to the flavor? I'd put some spices in the drip pan at times which seemed to add a bit of flavor but subtle.
  3. Lately? uh, I think I'm the one full of piss and vinegar lately
  4. Congrats! Something special to look forward to this week. Chuck E's in love?
  5. Don't ya just wanna beat the chit outta the sick twit who named Go Lightly .... Or make him / her down a gallon weekly. Nasty. Thankfully your now allowed to mix it with Gatorade or other drinks of one of the allowable colors. Still not good but at least it's not so disgusting getting it down. I'm past due for a colonoscopy. Ugh. Not looking forward to it but after spending a lot of time iwth my mother who got taken out by colon cancer and complications years ago, I'd much rather nip things in the bud before it develops into cancer. Prayers your son Jackson's issues are resolved soon. Whatever age, your son's too young to have to go through such stuff.
  6. Only so much can be done, it's like putting lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. I have no idea what picture she put, I don't do facebook, never looked there even once. Some have told me a pic of my butt was posted, could have been. A while back a bunch of family was here for something and was under the porch watching some bad weather move in. I walked out the house and was behind everyone as they looked at my sister taking a group pic, I jumped up on this old metal ice chest and mooned the camera, they had no idea I did it until they seen the pic. Now it's on facebook, I don't doubt they posted it. I think I'll pass on looking up your photo bomb moon shot.... but this latest photo is very nice. Even a nice waterfall in the background.
  7. I'd like to nominate Bill the Cat if it's not too late. He's been pretty bored since Bloom County and Outland faded away. Poor thing needs something to do. The break up of Billy and the Boingers practically did him in. Led to heavy drinking of wicked hot ginger ale amongst other vices.
  8. Dtel - this Charlene transformation doesn't appear to be workin' from pic Christie posted on FaceBook. Y'all better get your money back.
  9. Friends she says ... Ms Indiana? Could've told you that wasn't going to work out.... talked for two hours, so it could've been worse. But y'all don't look to be in your sixties.... so make the most of it and have fun.
  10. Thoughts and prayers Jackson's issue gets cleared up and if recurring they get it figured out. Golightly is no fun as prep for a colonoscopy. Don't want to even think how miserable one must feel if need it through a nose drip to clean things out.
  11. Welcome back Dtel / Charlene / Dtella  Sweep her off her feet Chuck. Good morning all. Just finishing up some green tea and then onto sweetened blackened tea.
  12. Yes she is. Don't obsess over her ear lobes. Just to be safe.
  13. Vertical. There should be lines on the phone and molded in the tips to align them on the 'phones.

    mode 40

I too have a big skull. Only tried the Mode for a few minutes. Yep kind of heavy and tight. And was only able to try passive as a battery was not available. The sound was really good but not the most comfortable. I think P Thump told me the active noise reduction also boosted the bass a bit which he wasn't his idea. I have a pair of Status. Besides a big head, I also have pretty big ears which barely fit into the ear cups. The Status are also kind of heavy. I have to move the headband to get off the current pressure point. Yeah kind of vise like. Sound quality is very good. There are many days with allergies and the like that I just don't feel like sticking things in my ears so the Image x10's, Custom 2, or A5i's are not the best option. I wonder if more padding in the headband would help? Very well built cans but are kind of tight on head, heavy on head, and tight fit for those of us with big ears. I may try the stretching over a speaker... sounds like it may help. Excellent sound quality.
  15. I like your travel plans. No worry, no rush, just go wherever ya want. No schedule to keep. Lemme know if you manage to get up to Michael's. It's not too far outta my way on the way home from work in downtown Indy to Kokotucky. (Ugh! gotta get a gig closer to home or one that lets me work from home. Stopped by last night to take him a Crown Royal bag and left with a NIB NOS KSB 1.1. He said something about taking home a pair every time I visit... so next up KSB 2.1? It'll take awhile to get up to Quartet, Forte, Chorus, or bigger. And my wallet / checkbook is a bit thin. Hooked up the KSB 1.1's in Roadie's and very good sound for a smallish 5.25" bass/mid and tweet. I got a pair as well, haven't had the chance to hook them up yet. Very stout little huggers aren't they. Yes they are. Pulled them out of the box and plastic bag, Twisted the binding post nut out all the way to take out little plastic plugs and hooked up to Michael's (Colterphoto1). First play. Not even broken in. Won't be mistaken for his MCM stacks + but sounded really good for small compact speakers.
  16. Make some sweetened blackened tea. Full octane and decaf. Mow the yard. Kill some weeds. Clean the garage. Go to the Wildcat Creek Music Festival in Foster Park and minimally catch local cover band Rewind including Rusty, 1 post Klipsch Forum member RBroadllick1, left handed balding dude who channels a pretty good Jimi Hendrix. And in the evening it's The Family Stone at Cyclefest benefitting HOG to raise funds for local veterans homeless shelter.
  17. Be careful what you ask for.... bhuhahahaha

  19. Is there quite a bit? Might be able to sell it as scrap? If it is worth a few cents just set it out on the curb or by the road. Somebody will pick it up.
  20. I think I've read somewhere that if you're Monster Wire is green or has other issues and can be identified as Monster , any Monster dealer should replace it. No idea if that'd still be true. YMMV I loved Monster's displays. One layer of Monster wire around a spool. Many layers of 24 gauge or even smaller around a spool and one could switch from one to the other. Naturally the Monster sounded better. Crossovers 101. What do you get boys and girls when you wrap a lot of wire around a hollow spool. What is that called. Yes. It's an inductor. Air core to be exact. What does it do? Yes. Keeps the highs outta ya woofers.
  21. It was a marketing thing.... Klipsch used some serious BS in some of their adds... find the vintage adds for Forte 2 or Chorus 2 when the crossover was attached to the binding post cup...
  22. Would that be mud, jello, or just rastlin' in the yard, or ....

    Moving on

I wouldn't normally have posted either but it was on the pi labs website. Yes she does look Mahvelous. pi labs being a start up Amy's recent caveman diet should prepare her for any lean times ahead though I'm sure they're good to go and should get product to market before current funding runs out. And she's even showing a bit of earlobe. Hopefully Coytee will behave himself.
  24. The Land of Klipsch is in mourning now that the Queen of the Land Of Klipsch has left the Land of Klipsch to build an empire of her own.
