Guys... Be oh so careful, and heavily insured when you ship. I haven't used the pallet-ship method, but it sounds good! I have used the mailbox-etc-ups- box it, drop it, kick it, ship it method...and with mostly not very happy endings. Out of 5 pairs of speakers shipped, only 1 pair made it unscathed. I now believe in road trips to pickup, or using my friends in faraway places to caravan them home..... Bev ------------------ Love & kisses on your Klipsch's!!!

Ed... I feel your pain regarding your contractor and building your room...not getting done as quickly as promised??? Hang in there! Rule #1 of building: However long they tell you it will take, double it. Rule #2: However much they tell you it will cost, add 10%...at least. Rule #3: Yes, you will feel like you lost your mind, but it'll be worth it when they're done. (At least that's what everyone's telling me....) Doug...so how does the Forte sound as a center with the Chorus? Do you put it upside down? I can't wait to try it, but it'll be a couple months before I can actually pick up the new babies. I've still got to figure out how to mount the Fortes in the rear... and John, yes, I'm still rockin here... they'll find me one day - just a skeleton in the corner with my headphones on! Hey Fini! Thanks for the warm welcome back.... I've been going crazy building a house for the past year...but I'm almost done... I'm still Klipsching...just picked up another pair of Forte II's to use as front & rear centers, with my Chorus II mains, and Forte II rears. Hey Dan, Try using Fabreze....it's pretty good about removing odors... remove the grills and mist them, try once a day or a few times a week until the smell is gone. Good luck... Bev ------------------ Love & kisses on your Klipsch's!!!

Yeah, I'm going around & around with the builder now... it looks like it would be too much $$ to do 2x6 walls. Everytime I get away from the conventional he says "chi-ching"... ::groan:: I am LOVING the links, Ray! I am gonna send the builder & architect into fits!!!! OH.....is a vaulted ceiling a good thing or a bad thing? I'm trying to get it together before construction, for materials, dimensions, and speaker placement. Got to do it right the first time! Thanks Guys! I knew you'd have the answers! Well, the good news is the room is not a 20x20 box... it actually opens into another room and the entry, so actual open space is more like 20x35ish... I can't do non-parallel walls, but just about anything else is still possible at this stage! Ray, thanks for the links! John, you made my brain hurt! But I get it now.... I've got Chorus II's up front...and am running some Ratshack's Optimus Linaeum's for rears, with a cheap sub. They actually sound pretty good...but I've got some Forte II's I'd like to run for rears.
