  1. Son of a master carpenter and can barely build a dog house. Measure twice cut once they say. I never took the time. When I was working for a lumber company at a tender and naïve age, foreman sent me looking for a lumber stretcher. They had a real hoot at my expense...
  2. Some of them do not even know what a skyhook or lumber stretcher is. Home Depot was no help at all.... Happy Easter!
  3. Pretty cool that, to say the least...going back to listen to Denman...lol
  4. Listening now. The bass upstanding and accordion working me over. Mellow and what, vivascious. Was not hip. Thanks!
  5. Yes and I have the red color scheme inscribed. Crazy isn't it. This best with a DAC:
  6. Have that one myself. Neat!
  7. I hear you. Am a Beck fan and Roy did a 3 piece band on PBS or other in the 80's on the tube. It was really decent. So far no luck.Lol
  8. That is just about too cool to move. Thanks man. Then you know. Still looking for Rock My Plimsoul by him. Cheers Mate!
  9. Roy Buchanan Iyou may like. A friendh in the day turned me on to music. My one gratuitous youtube of his famous gratuitous opener: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDOIL5OqvYs
  10. Sold a pair and a center on ebay not long ago. If you do decide to experiment, it is nice to have the correct size allen-type wrench for adjustments.
  11. The RSX can be costly as well and in some places abit rare. If you do consider the series, the RSX-5 can deliver. The flexible pedestal may enable you for placement and directing. The X-series are cool too as I hear from others. Owned used RSX-5 and like them quite a lot. Others more familiar with atmos than I. EDit: Recall them being 93db eff. The RCX-4 94db eff. as recollect...
  12. Cool! Like my classical. Shades of Jimmy Page...lol And your wife lets you play her cello...?
  13. Really like the sound of a cello. There is a lot to be heard that is good over my Klipsch. Like other thing in life, it is a worthy pursuit. There is a couple of youtubes that are decent, especially the bass cello. Interesting...
  14. Wow, you did really well there @WillyBob ...Congratulations again!
  15. A bass with character. Jack Bruce uses a fretless standard electric. Wish I had mastered bass at a tender age like Bruce or Leo Lyons... Garage band was a lot of fun though...
  16. Still have my bass and amp. Really need to play it more often instead of air bass guitar. Really like a standup bass for the old jazz and blues sound. Good Friday...
  17. Lol, Saw them in Lakeland, Florida along with Canned Heat, Melanie, etc....They played at night at this outdoor event there. Champagne Jam just about stole the show. It was around 78. Temp was more like around 100 ...ARS an easy to listen to band.
  18. Just about forgot about old Wet Willie. Name always turned me off. They did tour quite a lot though. Cool...
  19. Welcome! Yes, if you have the room then, sit one Heresy near flat against the wall on the floor preferably for the bass. Experimenting is cool too!
  20. Yes he had said in ad that was chipped. Thanks for posting the pic. Too bad am not in the market would make him an offer on the RF-7's bundled. Price offered would be condition of both sets.
  21. One time Tarheel, I was on back of an older Panasonic receiver and accidentally(or on purpose )hooked the phonos to the MC instead of the MM and found a whole lot of volume there. Mismatched impedence yet, it was surprising to my novel experiences.
  22. Stopped going to barber shops when a teenager. Found and usually kept beauticians and trained them about my hair.. Had one shag type cut in 72 in Kansas City,Ka. Looked like a hoople and was far easier to manage. Even had a straightener put in one time for some reason. Fast forward to for the last oh, 25 years, a DIY'er with the help of women.(I trust women with my hair). LF at times past was always willing to help with the length and the ever growing neck hair. Lately, she has been falling down on the job so, looks like the only way I can get my neck hair done is to grow it out long and put it in my tail. BTW, the ponytail is my secret to the "bob" cut. Just one cut across just below the hairband and I am good to go, for abit anyway. And, since my move to Tally for a short while, got back into some beard, goatee, stache and those other below the lower lip V hair styles I first remember seeing on Zappa and, in Texas. So, have not mastered the mirror cut from the front to back but, guess LF is fed up with the hair thing. Time to give her a verbal haircut.(kidding) LOLOL
  23. Let that sweet music heal that ear there Chuck...
  24. Lol, I have thought about it. Have gone to Jax before for Klipsch. Take your word and others about the 75's. Hope they go soon...
