I ask questions about my klipsch speakers…. I can’t for the life of me understand how that would ever be an issue (unless people are fighting, and speaking inappropriately to each other about it). What am I missing?

There are other forums where you can freely discuss what you like to do to speakers you own without it being frowned upon.  Many have migrated.

Good day folks my name is Angel, yes ilI a guy. I am searching for a pair of the AA networks if someone had a pair to sale. I'm working on a pair of speakerlabs and I would like to change the crossovers from the stock ones. Please lete know if you have a old pair that you can live without. Thank you in advance.

So did you decide to keep the speakers, I take it?  Since I never got any more responses about coming to get them, I assumed so.

True.  Sadly enough, I had to sell a pair of 1978 KWO's I bought from the original owner in 2008.  It was my first post on this forum, actually.  They were all original and immaculate and I paid $500 for the pair.  He was a retired Delta airlines pilot and they were downsizing some things.  I bought the Khorns, a pair of custom made Barzillay cabinets with tambour doors, and some other things from him.  Helluva nice guy.  I sadly had to sell them when the company I was with went under in 2009 and I sold tons of stuff off, sold my house, paid everything off, and went back to college at 43.  I wish I could have kept them.  The images are long gone from that thread but this is what  they looked like.

  4. For whatever reason, I've been deliberating on Khorns for my upstairs room.  But, then I remember that it's 15' width (and 28 deep) but I do sit 14' back and, not to mention, the prices are wackadoo right now.   Maybe they will come back down like the housing market has shifted, again, with the rise of interest rates.  (sure glad I'm at 2.75%)  I really have ho desire to pay $4k+ for a pair.  Just not worth it to me; so I tend to talk myself out of it.

  5. Anyone need parts for their CF-3's?  Seems like black horns so maybe v2 or v3's.  The woofers are slightly different between the v1's and 2/3's, also.  But, for spare drivers, it's something.  No affiliation.

    From the ad for posterity

  6. @mcp  What kind of speakers did you run with this?  I've always been curious about the newer NAD gear of this style as I was an NAD rep from 2001 till 2009 but these style products were only barely mentioned back then.  I know the Nat's Sales Mgr for Lenbrook and tried to buy a new C399 awhile back but they are 10x oversold and won't be able to sell me one.  ha

  7. Since the horns can unbolt from the wood, it makes all of it pretty easy to ship.  I bought the exact set from another member here back in 2017 and had them shipped from CA to AR and they arrived just fine.  They were packed well with heavy duty bubble wrap and a good double wall box.  But I know it's' time consuming to ship.

  8. I still use PayPal as I've had it since I started on ebay back in 2001 so it's always been there.  Or, I just use a credit card to buy stuff just in case.  Now, if I'm selling something and they want it shipped, I'm back to USPS money orders like the old days.  If they don't like that, then come pick it up and pay cash.  lol  Since the IRS changed that reporting stuff from $20,000 to $600, I've been out.  I don't make a living with PP stuff...just rarely sell things now.

  9. Yeah....you're not going to get a real non-biased opinion from a Klipsch forum about Infinity speakers.  That question would be better asked on a different forum like Audiokarma.  I've owned KLF-30's and I've owned Infinity RS-IIIb's, RS-II's, Quantum 3's, and Kappa 7's and mainly it's a different presentation.  For most things, I preferred the Infinity's but it depends on your musical tastes and what you listen to most often.  No one speaker will do it all perfectly, unfortunately.

Maybe they can cut them open and stuff new caps in like the tube amp guys sometimes do with their quad can caps. You know....to keep that stock unmolestered look.

  11. There are schools, medical practices, and businesses out there still running Windows 7 because they don't care to upgrade.  With all of our current city computers, there will come a time we will do the upgrade but that's a ways out still and some are ready for 11...but programs aren't.  The crappy part will be having to update all of the police car and fire rigs to Windows 11 and hope that all their programs work.  That's the main issue.

Other than that, my house PC's are a mix of i3, i5 and i7 quad core computers that I'm not really worried about any time soon.  Most range from 8 to 16gb of memory and all use solid state drives.  I think a couple could go to Windows 11 but not in a rush.  No one in our house are hard core gamers.
