  1. Any suggestions on companies/individuals who make wood horns to spec for a home Jubilee project? Tony
  2. Bob, Oh I remember, all too well. I'm just itchin' to load these manifolds. BTW, thanks for having Dee & myself over. We had a great time. Tony
  3. Here's a pair of K-260's with manifolds along with a K-500 & K-401. Tony
  4. One thing that I don't think has been mentioned is that the "visitors" to our houses would be seeing a lot of finishes that are no longer available. Every finish that I have is no longer in production. Tony
  5. Anybody have any ideas on how hard it might be to design a crossover for the Jubilee? Tony
  6. I agree 100%. Happy birthday Mr. Paul. Tony
  7. DeanG: Just a couple of points on our listening experence. The Jubilee was in free space, not in a corner. I suspect it would just get better all snug in a corner. On a few songs we did light up the room. I wanted to see just how far I could push it. Thirty tube watts will run you out of the room! Also, I have heard a pair of Jubilees and I say again they are awesome in a lot of ways. Not just different... awesome! If you ever get a chance to hear the Jubilee, spend some time with it. You might change your mind. Tony
  8. Bob, You also need a K-260 to complete your collection. I've got a couple, and they are big suckers. Tony
  9. Everyone I know (including myself) that has heard an AK-4 Klipschorn likes it very much. Everyone I know that has heard a Jubilee is in complete awe! Just a thought. Tony
  10. I wonder if they cound do an "oiled oak" case to match my speakers? That might look pretty good. Tony
  11. Sorta reminds me of the old "white van" scam. Anybody remember that? Tony
  12. Even in spec, I think the AL is not very good. It's just so complicated. You should see it... it's just a mess. Tony
  13. If you put a passive in it, you can run it "wireless". Tony
  14. Hey, maybe there should be a Klipsch Pilgramage "North" and a Klipsch Pilgramage "South". We could have a friendly little contest and see where the most members show up. Tony
  15. Now i'm really bummed out... I'd love to hear Q-Man's modified speakers. Tony
  16. If we go to Hope, we might be able to speak with Roy Delgado. He co-designed the Jubilee with PWK. This guy knows his stuff and is interesting to listen to. Tony
  17. I wonder how many forum members are in for Indy and how many are in for Hope? Tony
  18. Just a note about my Jubilee audition A friend and I headed down to Hope on Saturday to visit Miss Valerie and to tinker with the Jubilee. Miss Valerie is doing well and is energetic as ever. Actually, shes a real fireball! On to the Jubilee As we only had one Jubilee, all of our listening was done in mono. We used a Dynaco integrated tube amp and a CD player. After warming up the tubes, we really let the Jubilee sing. Now let me say right here, I like 3-way speakers. Its strictly a preference thing. I never seem to hear what I want to hear from a 2-way. With that said, this 2-way sounds like a 3-way. (if that makes any sense) Crisp highs, mids that almost hang in mid air, and bass that is tight and rattles your bones. The farther you step away from the speaker, the better it sounds. I guess the treble horn is blending with the bass horn farther away. I did notice one thing the Jubilee has in common with the Klipschorn. When youre standing (or sitting) there listening to it, you just gotta grin! It sounds that good! Tony
  19. DaddyDee I did get to listen to the Jubilee over the weekend. Not the one pictured, but the one that everybody is familiar with. We even listened to it with tubes. I really got to put it through it's paces. We had a grand time! I'll post more later with a few pics. Tony
