  1. Glad to see another Effingham area person on the board, I grew up in Dieterich, fell in love with Cornwalls at my best friends parents house in high school, knew I would eventually have some. Now live in Greenville. Welcome to the forum!
  2. Saw these diy cabs on parts-express, wondering how close they are in size to Heresey's, or Heresey Monitors that ive seen in the Pro section. Would they be worth the coin for us that cannot build stuff like Norm Abram. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=245-325&FTR=trapezoid%20birch%20cabinet&CFID=15684166&CFTOKEN=59737446 I'm sure the woofer would fit no problem, just too lazy to take a tape measure to see if the horns would fit ok. Thanks for responding. John
  3. Downloaded it off of Amazon yesterday, you could get one free download of many different versions of the song.
  4. This is a great album, I think one of the best of last year. But of course I love old school country, Waylon, Cash, Coe, Willie, Kristofferson.
  5. Sorry to hear about this Amy. Proves pretty much no one but family can be trusted in a person's home anymore, even then one must be wary.
  6. Any good 5-1000mhz splitter will work, stay away from wal mart junk wire and splitters, and screw on on connectors, I could go on and on with my pet peeves of my experiences of why people have bad cable signal, it's usually their fault. Every once in a while you'll see a 600mhz splitter, they don't work well with modems if at all because the downstream signal is most likely above 600mhz.
  7. Modem line on the 3.5 leg. I am a cable tech, and most cable co's monitor modem power levels and such to make sure the system is running properly.
  8. Not a clear one like that, but black and gold, otherwise the same.
  9. My verts have the same tag, vintage 1972. Just looked through the owner info packet that I got when I bought mine this summer from the second owner, it seems like they used Cornwall and Cornwall II interchangeably.
  10. I just recently got a Harmon Kardon Trio A224 into my system, I'm a total greenhorn when it comes to tube equipment. So I was wondering if this is a decent amp to start out with. It definetly is a richer sound in two channel listening than my surround receiver puts out. Another question I have is that I accidentally put one of the tubes in the wrong location when I first got it (12au7 instead of 12ax7) would that have hurt anything? I know I'm new around here, so bear with me on the questions that I have. Thanks, John
  11. Wish I could make it to listen to all the different gear, sadly I am on-call for work. Darn it, only thirty+ years before I can retire, and I can do what I want when I want.
  12. I'm one of the beneficiciaries of the cornwwalls, the ones listed in Missouri. Great deal, local pickup, will enjoy they them for a long, long time!!!
  13. Thanks for the welcome. I did consider the 180 degree controller, but I got a deal too good to pass up on the smokering buying a 225 controller. And anymore as far as I know the only place you can get that controller is through "The Pellet Grill outlet" formerly the Traeger Outlet http://www.traegeroutlet.com/home I figured since I bought my Traeger from an authorized dealer and have the 3 year warranty I didn't want to use the 180LV controller. And there arent too many instances where I myself smoke anything at that temp. Yes you would think they would put in the digital contoller on all models, I just have the base model Lil Tex, but I guess its another way to get you to upgrade and get a couple of more $$$ out of you.
  14. Love my Traeger, getting pretty good on ribs and butts, still working on brisket. Also cook brats, porkburgers and steaks on it all the time. Definitely upgrade to the themostat control instead of the three position switch, had problems while smoking with the three position switch while on the smoke setting where the fire would go out on a long smoke, now that I have the 225 degree thermostat, no problems at all.
