  1. Congrats, and welcome. Oh, and yes, we are a very visual lot here. Pics, and lots of them.
  2. That looks awesome, I did like it a bit better when you had them stacked, it looked evil.
  3. The ART IS your soundcard in this instance. Go into the preferences menu (Ctrl-P) and look at the settings under the audio I/O tab. Make sure the record in stereo box is checked. Bruce Bruce, I will check that next time I am home, but I am pretty sure I have already tried that. I will let you know. Rich
  4. OK If space is the problem, then I reinforce m KG thoughts. My girlfriend has kg.5's all the way around and it sound great( with a SWii). takes up minimal space and you still get the great Klipsch sound. Granted, I have not been able to hear other speakers, other than my 1.5's, but I cant belive how good these little guys sound. They get loud, no distortion , just pure. Again, good luck.
  5. That is a great story. As a humble owner of KG 1.5 's , I am looking forward to progressing up in the Klipsch line. Nuff said. It is a great hobby/addiction/madness. But I am loving every minute of it.
  6. OK. I have recorded a few lps using the ART. I was finally able to burn a few cds, and listen to them. For some reason I am only getting a mono recording. I have tried to change the settings in Audacity and every time I hit record it automatically goes to mono. Is my sound card lacking? I am not all that computer savy. I have the SoundMAX digital audio, if I am correct. Help me, please.
  7. I am sorry to hear that shortstack. Just remember that the Klipsch KG stuff is a pretty good bang for the buck, I swear by it. good luck.
  8. Very nice woodworking. But, uh, what is that on the pillow? [*-)] Colter, I am surprised you havent commented on this yet.
  9. I am not familiar with outdoor speakers but I am familiar to the wireless. My girlfriend wouldnt let me run wires to her rear surrounds in her system, so I bought the Rocketfish wireless system. It works just fine. http://www.rocketfishproducts.com/p-36-rocketfish-wireless-rear-speaker-kit.aspx Hope this helps.
  10. I was just wondering if they get worse with age, I have a few that when I listen to them in my truck , I have to turn the volume up 4 or 5 clicks compared to some newer ones. any thoughts?
  11. A few more. And yes I am a Steelers fan.
  12. And here are some pics of the system in my apartment.
  13. Ok. I am finally trying to post some pics of my GF system and mine. Not sure if I am doing this right.
  14. I saw those the other day too. Is there some type of a cover over the horns in the first pic? Does anyone know more about these? Interesting.
  15. That was going to be my next question!!! LOL Good to hear Rich! Dennie I figured you would be proud of me. hahaha
  16. Ok. I have had the Art for a few weeks now and am starting to love it. The first lp I tried to record should of been in the trash, I bought another copy that was in really good condition and the results were much better. I have been using it to mainly record my lps to my computer.and then to make cds. If the lp is in good shape and you give it a good cleaning, you will get a good recording. As far as the Audacity goes, I have played with it a bit, but agree with Colter that any of the pop/hiss/crackle software compresses/distorts the signal and makes it sound funky. So mostly I have just been recording them straight thru, and not really using what the Audacity has to offer. But it is great to get the old lps out, and there is a vinyl shop just 2 1/2 blocks from my place, got 5 lps for 21$ today. This is great.
  17. I bought some rubber feet at Ace for the legs of the table and cut some raquet balls in half. The tt is now sitting on the half balls. Walking by it I can walk normal and not hear any rumbling or skipping. So I guess problem solved for now. And yes Dennie, I will be hanging up my ballet shoes for the time being.
  18. So did everything work out for you with this setup? I went to Michaels, craft store, and purchased some foam pads for about $9 and that did the job with the wall mount. I can now walk anywhere in front of the TT and no problems. James James, I havent had the time to try it yet. I am going to get to it this weekend. I will let you know how it goes. Sounds like you fixed your problem, I might look into doing a wall mount too.
