BTW, i was speaking to moray james about different mods and upgrades which can be done to these speakers and I know for sure you can buy replacement/upgraded woofers for these speakers from a site like parts express. I am not talking about the same cf4 woofer. Try contacting and pm moray james for help. Hope i helped, Alex

Vintage Fisher 500c, fully restored by Craig at nosvalve four months ago. Also purchased nosvalve life time warranty, which is transferable. There is a long story behind this fisher, to make it short, i sent it to someone to restore, when i received unit back i had to sent it BACK to craig to FIX* and finishing restoring the unit. I purchased this unit to power khorns which are now SOLD. I put the unit on my heresy's and sound great but the heresys really dont get much play and i need the $. Trully hurts me to sell unit, i have been fighting it for months, hopefully it will go to a better home and get more use. Unit looks great and works just as it should, sounds amazing! Unit also has a mono RCA out put derived from center channel which can be used with a crossover for subwoofer or as see fit. This was done at nosvalve. I have bill of sale with all details on tubes replaced, caps, etc. Please email me with any and all questions and i can forward you the bill with details on the work done. I also have the khorns which i might be willing to work a package deal if purchased together. Alex

Wise choise. This is ususally the first step/mod most do to there speakers and is great bang for there buck. My heresy's definatly improved after corssover recap and ti tweeters. Let us know how they sound after. Alex

For 800$ i think is a great price for all this speaker. With good clean power these speakers sound amazing. Someone should give these a chance, worst case can be resold and money can be had back. GLWS Alex

LOL. Yea thats a crazy low price. I think the location is what is hurting me most. I have had lots of interest and almost had them sold, unfortunatly nothing has gone through yet. I have a fisher 500c. I did tons of research before buying the unit and i gathered that for the money it is pretty much the best you can buy. It can be had, or should be had, and totally restored by craig at nosvalve for around 1000$. For what it has to offer this is a great deal. I can attest this unit sounds excelent. Some say it is a good begginer tube unit then maybe in the future you can upgrade to a amp that will cost a few thousands, and HOPE it willsounds better;) Remember this is also a receiver so it has tuner, phono, aux input, etc. Alex

I have a dayton sa1000 rackable subwoofer amp. I am very very happy. The inuke 3000 is also a very good option. IF you ever plan on getting another sub you would already have the extra channel in the inuke ready to power it up. What is you budget? If you want to keep it to a small space and looking for the best sound/sub possible look into the tc sounds lms ulra 5400. They require a small space and take tons of power with tons of displacement. Might be worth saving up a little longer for this puppy. Alex
