  1. Don't worry about that. This post was all about getting information and if it gets you any relief.....that's a good thing.
  2. It's all good! I love you guys ( don't even go there ) I've posted many smart as* remarks that only a few have really appreciated and I'm OK with that. This forum is a place to help, escape, release. learn, connect, JOKE, ..............out of words, hell I need another beer, (that's just funny, I don't care who you are)........
  3. You've been on here longer than I have, but there comes a time in a post where you just need to sit back and let go realizing that it's all O.K. and counter attacks do nothing and serve no purpose and respectfully, I would say, that's where this is. Just let it rest and go on about life as this will serve no purpose.
  4. I will pass this along and who knows, he may be able to offer some information that will help. I can tell you that he's the type of person that will never try to lead anyone down the wrong path. I'm sorry to hear what you're going through, I have a close friend that has been dealing with a failed cancer treatment that has set him on a path of pain killers for the last 4 years and it's the only way he can survive so I appreciate where you're coming from.Pete
  5. dtel is one of the good ones but depending on the group that you gravitate to, there will be plenty of ball bustin goin on. I think that you actually got your answer to a tough question and in fact I considered making you an offer, but when you couldn't take a joke, I had to refrain.[] On a serious note, I agree with fish that you should be able to get 800 all day long and I just happened to score 2 on exceptional deals and I would purchase every RSW15 in mint condition for $600 all day long and flip them. The economy is effecting everything right now and it's not a matter of worth, it's a matter of finding the right buyer. Welcome to the forum! Pete
  6. One of my partners has had major back problems for 20 years and has, in the last year, had surgery that has helped him and some other people that he knows get rid of a lot of the pain and make his life much better. I don't have a clue what kind of issues that you're dealing with but my business partner is a freak about his health and research's beyond anything I've ever done ( and I'm pretty anal about research), so depending on what it is, you can shoot me a PM and I'll get it to him and who knows, he might have some useful information for you.
  7. If she gets to P/O'd at you, as a friend and fellow forum member, I would be willing to make a sacrifice and take them off your hands for the same price you paid, so as not to cause you any hardship and heck I'll even pay the shipping, just to keep things calm on the home front. LMAO[]
  8. I hear that and I'm about 30 pounds away from divorce weight and understand how critical that is in the grand scheme of things so this is going to be a life changing event if I'm going to regain the quality of life that I'm looking for and living on pain killers (besides beer [6]) has never and will never be an option. I've taken more vicoden in the last week than I've taken in the last 10 years which just tells me that it's time to "Get er done"
  9. I appreciate the thoughts and after 6 procedures to date on my knees I wish I could do something to strengthen the leg but it's at a point where unless I can get some kind of temporary fix that will allow me to use it properly, that option is off the table unfortunately. I'm looking into some alternatives but that's like diving into the rabbit hole and I can't logically understand how anything that I've found can compensate for a lack of cushion between 2 bones, but I'm looking anyway. I'll know more after tomorrows series of scans and tests, but my goals are pretty simple right now, walk, golf and be able to finish my house and carry around heavy Klipsch speakers.[] as I realize that playing basketball and jumping out of airplanes is over.
  10. I've been holding off on that and one more ACL replacement on the other one for 2 years but after blowing it out stepping off of a fishing boat last week in Punta Cana and getting my shiny new crutches, I may not have a choice. This knee was reconstructed 30 years ago but there's not much left and after this last incident I can't even go up and down steps properly and it's waking me up out of a dead sleep, so I've got to do something. My surgeon told me a couple of years ago that it was almost bone on bone then and that he wouldn't consider a meniscus transplant because he claimed they didn't work and had a very high failure rate so I have my first appointment tomorrow with a new guy since mine retired and we'll see where it goes, but I think the writing is on the wall.
  11. Are both drivers in question on the same speaker? I would think that the easiest way to rule out the network would be to just swap out the drivers providing that 2 of the drivers are working. I don't know what you paid for the RF7's, but the price of the new driver is what I paid three years ago and it was worth the price to know what I was getting.
  12. I've just started doing my research as I believe the inevitable is here and replacement is going to be my only option so I figured that I would throw is out here to see if any of you have already had to go through a knee replacement and might be able to offer some insight. Thanks!
  13. I can't tell you how to get the averages, but I can tell you that the last one I purchased on e-bay 2 1/2 years ago was 600 and it was perfect in every way including the grill and that included shipping. I thought that was an absolute steal and I watch for them a lot but I'll be there's been less that 10 in the last couple years.
  14. Heck no you couldn't pass them up. I missed a set of cornwalls for $100 and they were 45 minutes from me, but fortunately, another Ohio forum member picked them up.
  15. That has to make the top.........pick a number, list of great Klipsch scores, and to go to someone that is in dire need of more speakers just brings a smile to my face.[]
  16. Having owned 61's (great speakers) and now 3 pair of RB 5's I would say it has to do with where you can place them. If you have room to keep them off the wall I would find a pair of 5's (rear ported), but if that's not possible, the 61's front port design works well.
  17. Glad it all worked out for you, enjoy those Cornwalls.
  18. If you could shoot me the contact information I'll give them a call and check the status and at least. If not this litter, I could find out if they plan on another one as I'm going on a vacation in a couple of weeks. I need a trip down south so Georgia wouldn't be a problem. I've had many large breed dogs in my life but my male rott Dozer was the alpha in a litter of 11 and he was by far the best and smartest dog I've ever had. He had not seen me for nearly 2 years and when I went to get some things from my ex, he hopped up in the passenger side of the truck when I was getting ready to leave and would not get out quietly, it was heart wrenching. Do you do all the training yourself?
  19. Get that crossover in because now I really want to hear what you think vs the RC7 which is what I'm running in my main HT system.[Y]
  20. Good Job! The Cornscala's are great bang for the investment, I love my splits, but didn't ever consider a center channel because I use them strictly for audio. Have you had a chance to play with it for HT? How's the imaging on it?
  21. Any more of that litter left? His dad looks like one of my two rotts that I lost in my divorce. I haven't been able to take the plunge and get more because I trained and raised them from the time they were 5 weeks old. Great looking pup and I will be going down the same path one of these days.
  22. Some great comments and I would even say that your mood can sway what you like at a particular time. I, like others, have many combinations of gear and speakers, but I find myself wanting to listen to different set ups at different times.
  23. Have patience and you will eventually find an RC7 but for now, just pick up the first RC3 or RC3 ll in decent shape for the right money and it will make waiting for the right RC7 much more tollerable.[]
  24. Just another angle for you to consider. You could look for a Sansui 7070 or 8080 that you could pick up for a couple hundred dollars. (I just got one for a friend for 175 and cleaned it all up in a couple of hours 7070) and it will give you wonderful audio and then pick up a good used HT receiver for 300-400 and you'll get both done for your budget and trust me you will love the Sansui sound for audio.
  25. Nice build, they look fantastic!
