  1. I'm 90% music, but full HT setup and my room is really open, living room/kitchen/dining/office, not huge, but about 1200 sq.' (11,000 cu') and don't need anymore for music or HT, IMO.  I replaced 2 RSW15's with the F20 and fits my needs well.  I put casters on it and there's a skirt board so you don't see them and it's simple to move it with everything on it, even for my wife.  I'll try and find the picture, I think I posted in the build thread.

  2. IMO, put it where it best fits in the room and with your layout, and it will provide plenty of output.  I've built a few, have one in my HT that is centered up and supports all of my gear and plasma T.V. and no complaints.  There's always some trade offs, there's always better, but if you place it and get it dialed in with the room treated properly, you will spend more time enjoying it and less time moving it around.  My .02 worth.

Morning all.  It seems like Delta is slowly creeping its way west.  I hope those poor people in Lake Charles don't get it again.  They're still in recovery mode from Laura.

+1 on that.  There's no good place for it to hit, but wow, has the gulf been active this season.

Pete  , quick question , do you own both the Mini-punch and the EV  , which do you like best and last did you build the MP from a kit -

Yes and no.  I own both, and I like them equally for different tasks.  @jwc is the reason I have the mini's.  The EV's are large space incredible punchy speakers that short of a JUB, or Super MWMs and a a 402, are pretty stout and the best speakers I've had in the shop, and I've had a lot.

I set it up at the edge of a 100-car parking lot and had two La Scalas and the THTLP going pretty good, and there was adequate bass over the entire lot.  @MookieStl is going to have 4 La Scalas and the THTLP going, so it might be a different story.  Can't wait to see!

BTW, I offered him my two La Scalas so he'd have six and he thought 4 was enough, lol.

2 of anything we had a SWAG with the sub was more than we could handle.  Never maxed anything out and it was crazy loud at some points.

I would opt for UBIQUITY products , they are a secure technology given their pro line-prices on Ebay are peanuts -

-If you ever need support ,  I can guide you -

I have some friends that run Ubiquity products.  See, this is why there needs to be a topic that covers all the streaming items.  IMHO

^^^just counted 20 fence posts 10 feet apart. So good for at least 200+/- feet.

As for a nice sounding low priced do it all streamer. Check out Orchard Audio. PecanPi. New version coming out soon with discount for pre order. I'm very happy with my "regular" one. No need for touch screen on my set-up.

Thanks for the information, I'll check it out.  I'm no where near that distance.

I'm going to have all four of mine up and running "down by the river" this weekend!

I just loaded my rolling party. Pallets for a bonfire (for starters) and 4 LSI, a couple crown amps in the cab, maybe a cocktail or two in there somewhere as well. What is that strange tall object? A number of jerks (see above) on this forum keep saying "LS need a sub, a big sub", so I am giving it a try.

    Thanks @codewritinfool

Full report in a few days.

So, I guess you're not picking me up?  4 LSI's and a sub, everyone should be smiling for sure.  Have a fantastic time.

If you remember, we played one (yours) when we took the ATI out.  If I didn't like it I wouldn't have bought one.  My impression was that I liked it and it had a different sonic signature than the ATI.  I didn't prefer the QSC nor did I prefer the ATI.  I like them both, and enough so to grab one.  Especially for the price I got the NIB one for.

Agree totally with that assessment.  In turn, if I happened across that ATI for the right number, I would own one of those as well, sounds great and looks really cool.  Win win

You made me think of something with that statement.  Before I put my ATI back in service I may slap my Carver in that system instead just for grins.

I do that from time to time and always walk away thinking "I'm not selling those, they sound nice"

Haha, I'm still considering the LA thing, fires are causing problems to LA County now, a couple of their huge jobs were halted.

Probably have to do a job in Ohio anyway on an outdoor kitchen.
