  1. i've always lived by the creed that knowledge is power...what if? i agree that i don't know everything there is to know about biamping... i knew some, but just needed more information before pursuing this option... ignorance is not an excuse for not searching for ways of self improvement in all aspects of life... not just biamping... the only stupid question is the one not asked... if every person listened to their naysayers whenever they wanted to try something new or different then obviously society would still be in the Dark Ages... i appreciate every member here who casted not scorn at my ignorance, rather took time out of their busy day to enlighten me... it is due to all your unselfish, expert knowledge that i have been able to take my audio experience to a higher level... thank you all!!!

  5. I have 2 1957 12AX7 Amperex Bugleboy, long plates, foil-strip D-getter NOS original boxes I'd like to trade for 2 1950's 12AX7 Mullard, long plates, square getter.

  7. do you have 2 receivers with pre-outs/main ins i've heard of people using 1 receiver as a preamp which may help before i could buy a tube a tube preamp i used my harman kardon receiver as a peramp for my tube amp and it really sounded quite good who knows unless someone here can say why you shouldn't
  8. congrats!! i recently made the transition to tube and its opened up the door to listening to music... i picked up a old Scott tuner I can relate to the sound of these tube tuners they are awesome!

  11. What size screws are used in the speaker terminals of a Cornwall? I was refinishing a pair I just bought and they must have fell out in my garage and for all its worth I can't find them. Thanks in advance!!

  13. My Cornwall has the same problem that you have on the corner. My question to everyone, if I repair with filler, will I be able to match the filler to the existing walnut finish? From what I've read filler does not absorb stain proportionately to the rest of the speaker. Help welcomed.
  14. I'm redoing some Cornwalls now. Great link to the cloth for the grilles, mucho thanks. That site really has some nice grille cloth. Good luck on your project. Keep us posted, can't wait to see the finished project.
