  1. The KG-4 also came in 6 ohm versions. Sorry, the KG-4 is not a match for the 5.2's IMO.
  2. Go with Microsoft's Advanced AV pack and save yourself some trouble. http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=30070&sessionID={829C4DEC-44ED-4646-B403-7B40D2E9F6ED} http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=30456&sessionID={829C4DEC-44ED-4646-B403-7B40D2E9F6ED}
  3. I'd say Klipsch+Denon, but the H/K kicks it's a$$.
  4. KG-1, 1.2 or 1.5 would work well in your application. As for wallmounting, you'll have to ask someone else, as I've never tried it.
  5. That thing is FAR larger than a brown recluse. I am also called upon to kill all insect related creatures and consider myself a man's man, but I think I'd scream like a little girl too if I saw that.

  7. Sounds to me like you need an amp. If you want the specs on my 280's I may be able to find the box down in the basement if it's important.
  8. Are we talking about the 270 or 570? Post says 570, sig says 270. My Denon has no problem running my 280's. -25 is pretty loud (receiver goes from -60 to 15 0r 18, probably similar to yours).
  9. If they were in direct sunlight I would say yes.

  11. Hum is gone today. Interesting. Edit: Now it's back. grrrr.

Man they can get that grove on." I also have 311: Transistor (with a bunch of funky vacuum tubes on the album cover...er, CD cover). It's a strange CD, but there are times that I'm in a strange mood, so it's all good. ---------------- You know, if you rewind/reverse (what's the word I'm looking for here? LOL) the CD from the first track there's a hidden song that they used to play at the beginning of their concerts. Nifty.
  13. If the newer H/K sounds anything like the older H/K, go with it. My Denon has been regulated to HT duty only since my new H/K purchase.
  14. Yup, both 6 ohms. KG-2's eh? Might have to check them out someday.
  15. Opened it up today to clean it, but it was spotless inside. Checked the fuses (only 3 of them, I also couldn't find anymore) and they are brand new. Mine seems to have a hum to it though Something isn't ground correctly or it's that damn lamp cord I had to use to hook up the speakers with. Who designed the speaker terminals? LOL Otherwise it's great. I'm impressed for $76.
  16. Several owners of the Pioneer reside on this board and love it. One suggestion: Step up to the RSW-15. I think the speaker package is a little much for the 12.
  17. Yeah Tool is great. The music is very dark. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&uid=10:42:35/PM&sql=Br78e4j470waw
  18. Thanks JMON, I'll let you know if I find any.
  19. Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Radiohead, 311, Coldplay, RATM.....yeah I listen to rock and alternative. I also like classical from time to time. 70's and 60's rock is great.
  20. Need help on readying the unit. Getting a can of air and blowing out the dust is a first. Then I'll replace the fuses. I know it needs one light bulb. Where can I get one of these? Radio Shack? What are "volume pots" and how does one go about cleaning them? Any help would be appreciated.
  21. Getting 2 more pairs of 4.2's would be ideal. 2 for surrounds, 1 for front center, and 1 for the rear center.
