  1. I would like to know why my post was removed? How was it offensive? Best regards, John
  2. George It was a pleasure meeting you today. Enjoy the CD player. Best regards, John
  3. Thanks all. I thought price was way out of line. Then again, always something to learn. Best regards, John
  4. Moray More curious than anything if they are worth asking price? John
  5. They look strait out of the wrapper and price seems to be negotiable? What do all of you think a fair price would be? https://www.ebay.com/itm/KLIPSCH-C-P-1-PRO-CORNWALL-SPEAKERS-7-000-00-NEW-RARE-L-K/222742874503?hash=item33dc828987:g:HVYAAOSwiHpZ7XI6 Best regards, John
  6. According to Klipsch specs, the forte II maxes out at 119 DB..... I have never felt the need to test that number. Best regards, John
  7. Yes. I just purchased an ADCOM GCD-750 from Audiogon. 2 days ago. Best regards, John
  8. dtel; Certainly will. Will be at least mid January. Unfortunately, I have to wait till after the 1st of the year based on Duracrest work load.
  9. George, Yes $130.00 is a fair offer. Sold. Please check your in box. Best regards, John
  10. Good idea's Jason. Thanks again for Duracrest lead as well. BTW, Ralph said he has been supplying the "cloth" for all Klipsch models since the introduction of the original forte in 1985 Best regards. John
  11. dtel; My cabinets are clear oak finish. Yes, pricing is more than reasonable INMHO. John
  12. I have a near perfect Adcom GCD 600 for sale. Includes remote, original shiping box, and copy of owners manual. I am the original owner. A true 9/10 specimen. Looks strait out of the wrapper. Everything functions flawlessly. $150.00 includes UPS shipping with tracking number to the lower 48. Pics will be posted shortly. Please message me if interested. Best regards, John
  13. So I called Duracrest Fabrics a few minuets ago and spoke with Ralph Fortino, president of the company. What a great guy! Completely unpretentious. Said he could re-do my forte II grill covers with current lambswool fabric on forte III for just $100.00 after the 1st of the year. That is material, labor, etc. Also stated he has current Heritage grill cover badges for $20.00 each. Just a hop, skip and a jump to factory in Elk Grove Village, IL. So, should I stick with original badges which are perfect, or go with new? Decisions, decisions! Best regards, John
  14. Thanks Bill. I own a GCD 600 that I am replacing. Works and sounds great as you mentioned. I have original box and remote. 9/10 if anyone is interested? Best regards, John
  15. Well, I was surfing Audiogon, and ended up purchasing this transport player. Should integrate well with my other gear. Thanks to all for the input. https://www.audiogon.com/listings/cd-sacd-players-adcom-gcd-750-2017-11-29-digital?show_listing=true Best regards, John
  16. Anyone have any experience with Emotiva? Looking at this CD/Player/Transport. Specs seem good, and reviews are decent as well. https://emotiva.com/product/erc-3/ Thanks John
  17. Does anyone happen to know, or will Klipsch provide the source of this material? I would love to replace original black fabric on my forte II with. Thanks, John
  18. Great Job Youthman! Very informative,
  19. Wasn't the whole point of the forte line to have a 3 way design, allowing the mid to be wide open and effortless? By not requiring the squawker to reproduce the high end of the audio spectrum? A more expensive and rewarding design. John
  20. No. However I have my pre -amp and amp running balanced connections. INMHO better performance than unbalanced. That is with my equipment and my ears.
  21. Having a hard time finding a new CD Player/Transport with "Balanced" analog outputs. Looking to replace my Adcom GCD 600. My preamp and amp have balanced outputs and would like a CD player with as well. Looking to spend no more than $500-$600. Any recommendations out there? Thanks John
