  1. I'm currently in the market for a set of KLF 20's or 30's. Why well just because I want a pair lol. Anyway these will be moved into the living room and will be used mostly for TV shows and movie watching with occasional music when the wife isn't around and I can crank them . I currently have a set of Hii's with a SVS PB10 sub. My question is what can I expect with this combo?
  2. I have the similar setup. I have 2 ATV2's one in the living room one in the man cave. The great thing about this setup is I can stream the same song to both rooms at the same time..... absolutely love it!
  3. Hope you got everything hooked up and rnjoying your apple tv. I have 2 of them and love em! Don't forget to download the free remote app if you have a iphone. You can stream your music from itunes and with the remote control volume/tracks etc and it will also allow you to stream to multiple atv's if you have more than one.
  4. The room will play a big factor as to what will sound best. I had a set of cornwalls in a 12x12 room sounded good but not great now I could move those same speakers into our living room and BAMMM! I have a set of Heresy II's and a set of Forte II's. The forte II's fit the bill for me as I love the detail and bass these things make in my lil 12x12 room. The Heresy's sound just as good in most ways but a sub is needed to bring out the low's that I like. Good luck with your search and welcome!
  5. You will not be disappointed I bought a set earlier this summer for 500.00 and have not looked back absolutely love em.
  6. I have heard this system and it sounds as good as it looks.
  7. @ kmaudk - Did you get everything hooked up? If so what are your impressions?
  8. Please do as I have been following this thread and considering buying a pair of 7II's after hearing them at the pilgrimage this year. So logically I will need to know which direction to look towards for an amp and AVR.
  9. I've read several post that recommend using boiled linseed and a turpentine mixture to put on oiled oak cabinets. I went to Lowe's today and bought both however I'm unsure on how much to mix and how to apply/finish. Can someone give me some kind of idea on what to do?
  10. Ordered the CD off of his website, it's an all acoustic CD. This guy has made some beautiful music the complete opposite from his work with 7dust. If you like acoustic rock give this one a shot.
  11. Thanks for posting this comparison, I've often wondered what improvements (if any) were done to the second gen Chorus. I demoed a set of 2nd gen's a few mths back and I was impressed with the midrange and bass that they produced.
  12. HA I did this last night as well. Went to a fellow forum members house and auditioned some Fortes. I have cornwalls and love the bass they produce...BUT I have a small listening room (12x12) so I've been thinking of getting some Forte's or Chorus and letting someone with a larger room enjoy the cornies.
  13. @skydover- yes it was but the venison is good, I only kill what we can eat..those photo's have been deleted to protect the innocent.
  14. Thanks Tim and Sid for your help along the way...next up VRD's in the fall!
  15. Finally after about 8 mths of researching and bugging fellow forum members my cornwalls are happy. I recently purchased a MC 2105 to mate with my JM Peach and now I understand the fuss with these vintage amps. I'm hearing things I never heard before. This will amp will remain in my system for a long time could not be happier. Next up I plan to get fresh xovers for the corns and a decent DAC. Anyway just had to share my experience! Oh and here is a pic of the two. http://gallery.me.com/jlwilsonjr#100006/IMG_0952
  16. Very cool indeed I also do this with the Sirius app!
  17. **Update** Ok I demoed a fellow forum members JM Peach and I could not pass on it so it now resides at home awaiting a proper amp. This forum member also has a MC 2100 that I plan to demo soon (out for service while I was demoing the peach) and I have a strong feeling this or the 2105 will be my "near term" amp. I was also able to demo another forum members NOS VRD's and all I can say is WOW they blew me away my fear of tubes are gone and I absolutely loved how fluid they were. Sid was very helpful in explaining and showing how tube amps work and thus far Craig has been exceptional at responding to questions. So with that said my plan is to demo the 2100 and most likely buy either that or the 2105 and then save some $$$ and buy the VRD's. I believe either of these combos with the Peach will put me in a good place for many years...or at least I hope
  18. I'll bite crappy but here they are Cornwalls Heresy II's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hb6DSgQPhZs&hd=1
  19. I have a similar size room at 12x12. I have a set of Cornwall I's and I love them, I have not found a genre of music that they don't play well and they have the bass that I crave. I also have a pair of Heresy II's and they sound fantastic also BUT they do not have the bass that I love. Good Luck with your journey you really can't go wrong with Klipsch.
  20. Enjoy! http://dalesdesigns.net/rock-on.htm
