  1. A1UC NICE SET UP Just wondering how much the second sub helped. I have been tempted to go with a second one myself
  2. Keep us posted I would love to see how my RF-25 stacks up with the 82s
  3. My 2cents FWIW In my front room i have RF-25 and a RW-10d and it sounds great. One would think that the RW-12d would be a great match with your WF-35 HT set up, but if you are a big bass head the HSU VTF-15H would be a huge upgrade, and when I mean huge I mean huge. Its a monster. (sound and size) I have mine paired with my RF-7II and it sounds great. I toyed around with it paired with my RF-25 set up and it was just to much. It did not have the level of consistency as my RW-10, (it stuck out like a sore thumb.) I to agree the rose nut finish is beautiful. I tell every on that the triangle ports on the side are like nostrils on a fire breathing dragon. and as far as the audioholics review. It sounded like they where being pretty judgmental on a 900 dollar sub. Hell I still bought mine. haha.. I have paid close attention to other peoples reviews and 99% of them have been great, most saying that it exceeds expectations. but some people just like to defend their purchasing decision. But you can only blv so much. Audioholics makes its living on advertising so if any company forks up some money they will say its the greatest thing ever. Separates are nice. They tend to bring out a better sound stage and and depth. maybe a slight improvement in bass. Looks like some fun decisions are ahead.. Cheers
  4. Jump on dim 63s... Wow... hell of a deal for a hell of a speaker.
  5. A post from Pete From HSU research "The build quality, sound quality, feature set, and output capability of this new subwoofer is extremely impressive. One would need ULS-15 DualDrive to match/exceed the clean output capability of one VTF-15H from 16-100Hz. Of course, the VTF-15H is twice the size too, but very impressive in many respects!" Thats 2 ULS-15 Drivers to 1 VTF Wow now thats impressive.
  6. I love my HSU VTF-15H It is a vary flexible sub. If you have room for it.
  7. Looks like you got some fun decisions to make I looked at the Axiom's to. Great speaker, Just did not have the same sound stage as the new RF-7II. have fun with your research. I don't blv there is a wrong choice...
  8. No I love it and I got a good deal on it. I ran 2 circuits for my set up just in case I needed it, but right now I have every thing plugged into my furman and I have yet to see the over current warning light show its face. Nor Have i seen any lights dem or any thing like that. At 8 ohms My XPA-2 and 5 can pull a total of 13.3 amps max, but with the efficiency of owning Klipsch you would never every be able to be in the same house let alone the same room. I was a little nervous with my sub on the same circuit as well but so far so good, and there has been no ground loop issues or any thing like that.
  9. Stuff the 40.1 has that the 9.9 doesn't: PLIIz (Front High Channels), Audyssey DSX (Front High / Wide Channels), GAME Surround Modes (Rock, Action, Sports, Role Play - although the 9.9 does have the THX Games mode), More HDMI inputs Network Audio Steaming (Windows 7, DLNA v1.5 Certified), Can use Internet radio services (Pandora, Rhapsody, vTuner, SIRIUS iRadio) Stuff the 9.9 has that the 40.1 doesn't: Balanced inputs/outputs Three DSPs (40.1 has two) Audyssey MultEQ XT (40.1 has Audyssey MultEQ) The dif btw the 40.1 and 40.2 are as followed stuff the 40.2 has HDMI 1.4 plus 2 extra hdmi outputs, 7,1 multi-channel input, usb input for audio streaming, and IPhone,Ipode compatibility, Firmware updates via usb and network, 3 hidden input assignments via pc setup, I have the dhc-80.2 It has all the above Hopefully this info can help.
  10. I blv.that the DHC-9.9 has audyssey MultyEQ XT and the DHC-40.1 does not, but the DHC-40.2 does. I think one would be happy with both. I know that the DHC-40.2 does not have XLR outputs. Im not sure about the 9.9.
  11. Yes. and depending on what you want to spend: The more options you have the more likely you will find that set up that suits you best. Fwiw. I really like the Integra/Onkyo brands. I think you get the best quality, and best options for the money. They both also have a THX certification and Audyssey so you would be able to try them both out. You may like them both for different applications.
  12. My Proc. is THX citified and i personally do not use this option. I like my audyssey Option much better, and Dolby true hd and PLIIx sounds better than the THX options, but having an ultra 2 system the 80hz set up for each speaker may sound better for you than it did me. ( Knowing also all the variables that hinder or help ones home theater set up. ) THX also has a Loudness plus, and this is control technology used to maintain the integrity of audio content when listening at lower volume levels. Audyssey has a Dynamic EQ which is a loudness correction technology to solve the problem of deteriorating sound quality as volume is decreased by taking into account human perception and room acoustics. I blv the Audyssey set up blows it out of the water! IMOA. I thought the THX set up was to laid back. Most of your THX Citified Proc/Rec. are very good quality so it just depends on what you want to spend. But if it was me, I would not make it my deciding factor. I personally would go with a Proc./Rec. with an Audyssey set up. Or get both like i did.. haha I have also heard good things about the Anthem ARC room correction feature. GOOD LUCK
  13. I always ask: How much will we need to loose, at what point will it be the thresh hold of the middle class working man/women to stop being trampled over. Union Labor is at the end of its rope and the effects on labor will be catastrophic. From the dismantling of project labor agreements to passing right to work bull sh.. laws, the government spits in the working mans face. Just how much does the middle class working man (soon to be lower) need to loose b4 we stand up and start kicking some ***. Do we need to loose more? how many family's need to suffer. Look at the facts people the rich are getting richer, every body is being left behind just to get enough bred crumbs not to shot someone. So what is it. How much more? Indiana rep. IBEW 481
  14. What do you plan on going with as far as surrounds?
  15. I Have the RB-81II and they sound amazing and when i want to have a movie night i bring my RF-25 towers up for 7.1 and then the fun beggins. I think sticking with any of the new RFII would be your best bet. and I would definatly go with the RS-62II. They are made to be wall mounted where other Klipsch speakers are not made to be mounted directly to a wall.Enjoy
  16. Thats Awesome.... I Have The new RF-7II with RC-64II and it sounds amazing. I could only imagine what 3 would sound like. Let us know.....
  17. Let us know how the RF-7II sound for you.. Mine are in the mail..
  18. Try Emotiva.. With a budget of 500 you dont have alot of options and Emotiva gets some nice reviews around the Klipsch forums..
  19. I diving into a new pair of RF7II and I'm looking at the Emotiva XPA-2. The reviews i have been reading have been really good, I just cant get how cheep they are going for (709$) I'm willing to pay more for good sound quality but WOW that's awfully cheep. Does any one have experience with this amp or other Emotiva amps? would love some good input.
