  1. Audiokarma has a great McIntosh section and very knowledgable people. I'm new to McIntosh and have learned alot reading that forum. Do a google search for your processor on that site.
  2. Here ya go....35ft hdmi cable to projector and 6 ft to TV. I just pulled my screen down enough to show both.
  3. cable box > avr input > avr out > Hdmi in on switch > A and B out > 2 tv's I've used it both as switch and splitter. Yes my Tv and projector play at same time if needed A and B 1 (splitter). I also switch out projector for tv in bedroom running 25ft through wall. I can run cable TV in living room and another source (wd hub or Blu ray and PS3) into bedroom so girlfriend can watch what she wants if necessary A1 and B2 (switch). She'll use a remote App off ipad networked into hub and blu ray.
  4. I think your issue is the 1 output. I have a Monoprice 4x2 matrix switch (link below) running to both projector and TV. All sources (WDTV Hub, BD player, Sat Box and PS3 ) into UMC-1 > UMC-1 Hdmi out to 4x2 switch HDMI 1 input > HDMI 4x2 switch Output A to TV and Output B to Projector. Been running well for a couple years now. Leaves me with 3 HDMI ports on switch for dropping in sources without UMC. Worked well with my old Pioneer Vs9130. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011002&p_id=5312&seq=1&format=2
  5. Oh Duuuuuude !....Another Torontonian drooling with envy!....welcome to the forum from the east Beaches (Victoria park and Kingston rd area) Here's old pic of set up. Tubes replaced with Mac gear and Sub replaced with rt-10d. New Amp as well Acurus A200Five
  6. Watched it again last night.I worked on this film and it was a blast to work on. I've never been hit by so many flying shell casings !! good stunts, over the top gun action and a fantastic sound mix in DTS HD 7.1 Don't forget to watch the credits for me....lol.....I was the On set Paramedic
  7. After seeing the amazing packing job YOU did on the rt-10d I guess you were horrified!! Congrats on the RC-64, you'll love it once its set up with your 7's. What are you eventually going to power it all with? I only see the UPA 2 in your signature along the UMC-1 (same as mine). I just bought a Acurus A200Five (200 watts x 5) and replaced my old Carver a705 (125 watts x 5) and the difference in the RC64 was much improved. Thanks again for the pack job on the sub....it's fitting beautifully pulling double duty in HT and 2 channel matched up with Heresy II's and Mac gear ! Enjoy!
  8. Its recommended that its the other way around. RB'sbookshelves in rear back and RS's (WDST's) for side surrounds. If you decide on the RF7II's then RS7's and any of the RB 61 or 81's would be plenty. If your going with RF82II's for fronts , then RB81 II's or Rb 61 II's with RS 62 II's would also be a killer system. Good luck with what you decide.
  9. I don't believe they have released it on Bluray yet. Amazon says "preorder" Its available 2nd week of September. There is a full Blu Ray out on Piratebay [N] [bs] C/P info AUDIO: Codec Language Bitrate Description ----- -------- ------- ----------- DTS-HD Master Audio English 5217 kbps 7.1 / 48 kHz / 5217 kbps / 24-bit (DTS Core: 5.1 / 48 kHz / 1509 kbps / 24-bit) Dolby Digital Audio Russian 640 kbps 5.1 / 48 kHz / 640 kbps Dolby Digital Audio Ukrainian 640 kbps 5.1 / 48 kHz / 640 kbps I'll wait for the real deal as always !
  10. My Heresys sound just as fantastic with my Mcintosh MC250 SS amp as well as my old 6 watt set tube amp.
  11. I've used entry level tube amp with both RF 35's and RB81's (same 8inch woofers) and with Heresy II's. For me tubes and heritage are a perfect match! Heresys or Fortes in that size room with a tube amp and you should be happy.

  13. AVS has them at 269.00 until middle of september ,then it jumps up over 300.00 Curious to hear more about it here too!
  14. That is my hope. I saw your side by side RF7 and RF 83 pics on I think a German site the other day while surfing. No credit to "Youthman" was given [:^)]
  15. Love it !.....If your into old westerns try putting on "The good,The bad and the ugly" in Blu ray!.....it amazed me with Sergio Leone's Wide angle and close up shots!
  16. The 35's are RF III line and replaced by the RF82 iv. I have bought 2 subs, RF64, Amp, Rf61's off forum members here in US without hesitation and will continue too. But I do understand the trepidation in some cases. Best of luck with the search !
  17. Thanks, but it's not Bills,I found same one locally and scooped it up
  18. I'm with Derek and agree the RF 35's are a quality people overlook. It took some patience but I seem to have put together a quality used 5.0 set up then added sub later. RF35's 400 RC 64 450 RB 81's 150. (got lucky)
  19. Quick question, Would a mic for a UMC-1 be compatible to use with this sub to calibrate and would it be accurate if it does work? Thanks Guys
  20. That's SWEET !!....CONGRATS ON A GREAT CHOICE!
  21. Coytee, that's hilarious! I've had my girlfriend get up to answer her phone because the phone on a film had same ring in background.
  22. That character gets a cameo FYI. This film follows the original short story from Philip K Dyck more. The screening I saw was at the post production houses mini theater with 20-30 seats optimally positioned. Great experience I don' t normally get but was fortunate to have Glen Gauthier (main unit sound) invite me. I didn't even think to check the sound equipment they have installed, but it kicked !
  23. I worked on this film and am good friends with both 1st and 2nd unit sound mixers. They are both very highly respected and always create great sound . Same guys who did "Dawn of the dead" and "Max Payne" just 2 great examples of great soundtracks. I seen a crew screening a couple months ago and it looks and sounds fantastic . Hopefully they tweaked it even more before general release.
  24. The app iPeng works fantastic for my squeezebox duet on my iPad. They have an add on for that app that allows you to stream wirelessly to my iPad to my bedroom set up.....love it.
